Chapter 62 Chapter 62

Chapter 62 Chapter 62

ALINA’S POV

“So that’s how many now?”

“3. We’re down 3 more supplier warehouse and after-

“3 more?” He cut me off again, incredulous as he faced me. “How come it’s still remaining 3? We’ve been all over the place since morning.”

Oh, so now, you want to complain?

“We will not have been ‘all over the place’ If we simply went straight for the supplier that made us travel in the first place. Sir.” I dropped. While being respectful of course. Don’t want to have that pointed out like it’s been 3 times already this morning.

3 times.

What’s with us with the number 3 huh?

Anyways, “Please take us to No.14 Velmora Crescent, Auren District.” I said to the driver, checking out the equipment we were headed to see on my phone.

It was the very one that brought us to this country in the first place. The one with the issues, and here this bastard was making us move all over the place checking out other suppliers that we’ve long confirmed their equipment and specifications. What for you may ask,

“We’re already here. We may as well check them out.”

A valid reason no doubt. But it had us moving about, wasting time, energy, then now he wants to complain about it.

“We’ve arrived, Ma’am. Sir.” the driver announced after a short while, alerting us as we looked around a bit. Stepping down. Sharp gravel stones meeting our feet, scrunchy but somehow really beautiful to look at when you took a scan of the whole place. The building.

“Velmora Systems.” I muttered, looking high up to see where it ended. It was all glass and steel. Silence everywhere too, almost like the place was vacant. But it all looked too put together to be vacant.

“Let’s go?” I blinked, nodding as I followed him in. We approached the front doors, the entry glass parting automatically as we drew close. No security in sight too. Just long reception counter, and a single staff waiting there. Smiling. Calm.

“Welcome,” she greeted with a bow. “We’ve been expecting you.”

I smiled back. A few introductions and the lady went on to sign in something on their database, permitting us through the first lobby. My eyes scanning around as we moved.

“So this is your main warehouse?” I asked, striking up a conversation. “Or you have a showroom and then this warehouse, cause I mean…”

“You’re having doubts about us?” the lady looked back at me,

“Oh not like that.” I quickly clarified, “Not like we’re backing out on the deal or anything. I’m just asking.”

Cause this place…Velmora Systems, the more we moved, the more it all seemed less and less like the other warehouse we’ve visited. It didn’t look anything like a sexual warehouse, more than that, it didn’t give any ‘Oxygen’ kind of vibe.

The whole place was spotless. Clean. Bright, almost clinical.

But we got the address right, I was sure of it.

“It’s no matter, ma’am.” the last called out, smiling. “We get doubts a lot. But we’re not bothered, cause we’re the best in the business.”

Hmm.

The best huh?

“The very best.” she assured, “You’ll see.”

Confident.

I liked that.

“Okay then.” I kept my reservations. No longer judging the book by its cover, and boy. As we reached the end of the corridor, another room unfolding, I instantly took back my comment on it not giving any kind of vibe.

The room we stepped into was definitely a shift.

“This is the Demo floor." the lady addressed with pride, “This is where we keep samples of the equipment, get to see how they function, feel it, before then heading over to the main warehouse.”

Hmm.

“Nice.” I said, looking around.

Real nice.

The lighting was softer here. The walls different, not sexual but different. Kind of in a way that…feels intimate?

“Over on this side is the mini showroom.” she moved. We followed. My heels meeting the floors with a steady rhythm. “Here you can see the samples. Most of newest models are here, built specifically for sensory alignment.”

“Sensory alignment? Like the 5 senses?”

“Yes ma’am.” she confirmed, “All 5 senses.”

“Wow.” I stepped forward, looking more, taking everything in. The large space. Equipments all spaced apart, enclosed in some glass with each of them on their own platform/display. Big enough to catch your attention, but also clean enough to have your back straight with tension as you slowly realize what each of them was capable of doing. Exactly what I came for.

Work mode activated.

“So,” I cleared my throat, facing her strictly. Aware a certain pair of eyes were on me too. “You guys mentioned you deal mostly with specifications. Do all these equipment right here have their own special settings and stuff?”

“Yes they do, ma’am.” the lady answered, “All of our equipment do. Which is why we deal mostly based on orders and not already-made.”

“So you don’t have already-made and available equipments for pickup? Ones that don’t exactly need specifics?”

“Well… we do.” she started, pausing. “We do, but we don’t encourage it. Like i said ma’am, our equipment needs specifications to function at their utmost best. We do have others that don’t necessarily need these specifications, but they’re few.”

“Can I see them?” I pressed, she looked behind me then.

“They’re on our left.” she gestured, making me turn too. Roman already standing in front of the left equipment rows. No word from him all these while.

“The St. Andrew’s cross will be just the one without specifications. Alongside the bondage chair, restraint tables, queening chair…so on.”

Hmm.

The queening chair.

I moved towards it a little. Taking a full look at the normal, comfortable looking chair, but with a large gaping hole underneath it. At the center.

One glance and you could already tell what that was for. That hole.

“It’s powerful when in use.” the lady said. Like I didn’t already know that. “It would be a good addition to a female dominated space. A powerful female-control dynamics.”

Hmm.

It would...I could actually see it in the Seraph wing. In an interesting position too, but it was not my call.

He wasn't saying anything too. Just watching me speak with the lady from the sidelines.

I looked back at the lady then, “Can we now see the equipment that brought us here?”

“Of course, ma’am.” she led me then. Led us. Away from the samples and into a room behind an empty equipment glass display. All red decorating the space inside. A dull red. The sensual kind, lights low and at the center sat a frame.

Or should I say artwork of some kind.

“This is…

“This is our private demo suite for your equipment ma’am.” the lady explained, appearing ahead. “Testing the sample doesn’t happen out there in the showroom, it happens behind it. Every show glass has one and this is yours, your equipment. You requested 6 pieces, yes?”

“Y-Yes.” I stuttered, feeling a little displaced in the setting. “This...this isn't exactly what I hoped for. You're sure this is the equipment? What we came all the way here for??”

“Yes.” she confirmed. Not seeing anything wrong right now, but I did. I definitely did, look at it.

A sleek gold and ivory structured frame. An artwork. Just sitting pretty in the middle of the room, surrounded by lookalikes, all of them displaying smooth curves. Like some kind of sculptures.

Their bases raised a bit high by some sort of platform they were on, their backs curved and seemingly elegant the more you stared at them.

In fact, they all seemed to be taking the shape of women. Just halfway though. Enough for you to see the outline. Totally not what I was expecting, and I meant that.

This was not the graphics I received or the image I had imprinted in my head.

“Would you like to try, ma’am?” the lady asked, proposing. Gesturing towards the one at the center. “We need user feedback alongside the specifications to be able to set it right.”

Specifications.

That was what brought me here, right? These specifications. First this structure wasn't what we talked about and even if it were, what was such a pretty looking structure supposed to do??

This was supposed to be one of our master pieces at Seraph wing, what was this mistake???

"Ma'am?"

"Fine." I said, holding it all together for now. "I'll do it. I'll test it."

I had to. At least before I broke the news to the bastard that came with me.

What a mistake, huh?

Good thing we came over here ourselves.

Without wasting time, I headed over to the structure. Putting down my bag and letting the lady help me settle down on the surprisingly soft surface of the structure.

How was this so soft?

I hadn't even processed that when another thing happened.

"Click!" The sound filled the air. Then the force came. The hold, firmness at my feet. Letting me know that the harmless looking straps I'd seen earlier wasn't after all so harmless.

This was going to turn out to be a big mistake, right?
