Chapter 37

**Unknown P.O.V**

*Two figures stood in the shadows having a stare down. One in amazement and the other in boredom. One mortal, one immortal. One in plain sight and the other clocked in a dark robe, concealing their identity. The summoner and the summoned and a deal is about to be struck.*

"Why have you summoned me” I questioned cheekily

"I want to make a deal" The puny mutt replied hotly

"A deal? Well you have got nothing to offer me Tricia Bennet. You are mate less and barren. What could you possibly offer me?"

"That's all because of that bitch. But I swear I will give you anything, just help me out please"

"If I were you, I would watch the way I speak about my princess in front of me. I know she's a bitch most of the time but then again, we are all bitches and you totally deserve what happened to you. I mean I personally would have killed you without a second thought" I chuckled softly when she took a step back. Good. She was in for a rude awakening.

"E... enough about that. Now would you help me?"

"What do you have to offer? You are asking me to perform the highest form of treason. Killing my princess is going to be next to impossible and I can't even start considering it until you give me something worthwhile."

"I'll give you my soul" she countered desperately

"I hate to break it to you darling but your soul is not really worth that much because of that marker on your soul"

"What marker?"

"The mark the princess's curse left. Should you die, your soul will forever be in servitude to my people and I. For now, enjoy being her little bitch. Your scarred back will never see better days"

"That ugly bitch! I hate her so much. Who does she think she is? She has taken everything away from me"

“Well you took the most important thing in her life away from her and she is just returning the favor. Need I remind you that she is the princess of our realm and that is like 99.9% of the whole fucking world and don't fret about hating her because the feeling is mutual. She hates you with burning passion."

"Why are you like this?"

"Like what?"

"Arrogant, sarcastic, bitchy and you are treating this like a joke"

"One, this is a joke. In fact you are a joke. Two, you summoned me here, let’s not forget that you need me. Not the other way around. I can just leave you know"

"No... No... Please ... please. Am sorry. So what do you want and please just state anything"

"Ok, I want your alpha's head on a silver platter"

"What!! No!! Am doing all this so I can finally be with him. You can't have him. Name something else please"

"Eh you really want him that bad huh? That is just wishful thinking and I pity you"

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing your pigeon brain will understand"

"Don't insult me!"

"Am not insulting you. Just stating facts. Anyway I want seven females and males between the ages of eighteen-twenty-five and two people you care about the most. I want them totally unharmed and ready for me in three days’ time. By then the job would have been done"

"That should be easy. I'll get it for you... thank you ....um your name"

"My name? I would tell you but the time isn't right. At the end of our deal, I will tell you"

"That's okay. See you in three day"

"See you Tricia Bennet" and with that I vanished from her revolting sight and returned back to my realm.

It really is true what they said about that Tricia. She is a two-faced conniving bitch and Chaos should have killed her when she got the chance.

I walked straight to the throne room and opened it without knocking. A smile found its way onto my face when I caught sight of the king having a heated argument

with his brothers.

"Father..." I called out as I ventured deeper into the room

"Ah... back so soon" he questioned with a small smile on his face

"Yes father... Let's get this show on the road"

**Chaos P.O.V**

I stood still in shock after River passed out. Aunt Persie and I have a love hate relationship because we never see eye to eye on most subjects. To hear that she had torn into my mate's back for me brought about this sense of love and respect. She has been known not to care about anyone other than her husband, my uncle Hades and their sons.

For her to go out of her way for my sake put a smile on my face. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I felt someone shaking me. I turn to find Matthews looking at me with tears trailing down his face

"Plea... please" he whispered hoarsely

"Matthews...It's..." I tried to explain

"He's going to die if this keeps going on." He whisper yelled before breaking down.

I gently pulled him into my arms and it didn't take long before he was full on cry. I moved us to the far corner of the room as Kiara and the doctors worked together to stop the blood that was flowing like a tap. Kiara healed as much as she could and the doctors took care of it before she moves to the next spot.

I watched blankly as his friends rushed into the room only to rush back out after taking in River's condition.

I could hear some of them emptying the contents of their stomachs in the nearby washrooms. His mother was the worst. She was screaming with tears rushing down her face before passing out. So far I haven't seen George and I wonder where he was. He hasn't made an appearance ever since that night in the study and I know he is not on pack grounds.

I am sure he needs time away to think and take in everything that has gone on so far. I may be outwardly stoic but somehow I feel sorry for River. We are completely mated so I know what he is going through. The searing pain going through my back was evidence enough but it's nothing I can't handle. The pain of seeing River and Tricia was much worse than this and if I could handle that, then I sure as hell could handle this.

Matthews cleared his throat and I looked down and nearly chuckled at the embarrassed sheepish look on his face.

"Can we go and talk now?"' I asked softly

"Um... Yes" he replied whiles looking everywhere but my face

I let him go and then motioned for him to take the lead. We walked through the hall of his house and it was filled with people mourning their hearts out. They bowed their heads when we passed by before going about with their mourning.

Most were sending me pitiful glances as I passed and I pretended not to see. Some were bold enough to stop me and offer me words of encouragement. If only they knew.

Matthews and I made it out in the open twice the time it would have taken to get there and headed straight for the forest.
