I glanced at the layout of the dress; it was a simple style with no excessive embellishments.
The girl was naturally elegant, but this dress made her seem a bit restrained.
I reached out and held the girl's waist. It was very slender, but the dress didn't show it at all.
"Do you trust me?"
I looked at the girl. After a moment, she nodded.
I ignored the man and pulled the girl inside.
"What's your name?"
"Sarah Cooper."
I was momentarily stunned. Cooper too?
But then I thought, the world is so big, it's normal to have overlapping surnames.
I took Sarah to find Matthew, who was chatting with Winter at the time. He looked very happy, clearly enjoying the conversation.
"Matthew."
My voice instantly caught their attention.
Seeing me, Matthew pulled Winter over.
"Kathie, do you need something?"
I smiled and pointed to Sarah behind me.
"I accidentally ruined this lady's dress and need to fix it. Can I use your workspace?"
"Of course!"
Matthew's eyes lit up instantly. He knew I studied fashion design and was eager to see my skills. Winter also looked excited.
"Oh my God, Kathie, are you really a designer? Like in the movies, where they tailor dresses on the spot? I get to experience it for real!"
Matthew led us to his workspace, which was a backup in case of emergencies at the art exhibition, so everything was new.
I looked Sarah up and down, thought for a moment, then took out some chalk and made simple modifications on her dress.
Then, I picked up scissors and unceremoniously cut a circle off Sarah's dress.
Sarah was a bit nervous but stood still.
"Matthew, do you have any pearls here?"
Matthew shook his head. At this moment, Winter took out a necklace from her bag.
"Will this work?"
I glanced at it but didn't take it.
"Isn't this too valuable?"
Winter shook her head.
"I made it myself. It's not particularly valuable. Feel free to use it."
I took the necklace and thanked Winter with a smile.
Threading the needle, I wrapped the cut fabric around Sarah's waist and slightly tightened it, outlining her slender waist.
Then, I used a few pearls as embellishments and tied a bow at the back.
The remaining pearls were sewn near the wine stain, randomly, without any structure.
After finishing all this, I took out some paint, found a small bucket, mixed it with water, and made a simple dye.
I splashed it near the wine stain.
After putting down the bucket, the dye on Sarah's dress hadn't dried yet.
"I have this!"
Winter surprisingly took out a small hairdryer from her bag!
I was stunned and couldn't help but ask.
"Winter, are you a treasure chest?"
Winter looked a bit shy.
"Not really. Mr. Wilson said he would introduce me to some handsome guys today, so I prepared a bit more."
I was surprised but took the hairdryer and dried the wet fabric until it was completely dry.
"Alright, doesn't this look better than before?"
I wiped the sweat from my forehead, and both Matthew and Winter looked shocked.
"Oh my God, Kathie, you are so talented!"
