Chapter 96 – Love Offer

She rubbed Tom’s little head, “Would you like Mommy to find you a Dad?”

After thinking for a moment, Tom said, “If Mommy is willing, then I am.”

“Tell Mommy, do you like the gentle Dad or the cool Dad?”

Angela pointed at the photo album on her phone. “Take a look at this and tell Mommy which one you like.”

“Mommy, I like this uncle.” Tom’s laughter clearly fell on the plaza.

Stretching her head out to take a look, Angela saw Barry’s picture.

Tom was suspicious in his heart, “Mommy, are you alright?”

“Of course, I’m fine.” Angela laughed, “I will go back to take care of this first, Mommy will be back soon.”

“Mommy, let’s go back together.”

Tom immediately cooperated with his mother efficiently, and returned the phone to Angela.

Lying on the bed, she started at the ceiling and thought for a while before suddenly getting up. She took out her phone from her bag and prepared to make a phone call.

“Why did you turn off your phone?” She murmured, opening it.

After she thought about it, Angela typed each word into the crowd, “Oliver, please tell me, who exactly was that person in the restaurant back then?”

Oliver didn’t reply.

Angela suddenly became angry. If he was right in front of her, she would pounce on him and pinch his neck. After thinking for a while, she sent a message again.

“Boss, if you don’t tell me now, the consequences will be severe.”

She had already said so much. This old man, he should tell her now. Taking a deep breath, Angela suppressed the raging flames in her heart.

After thinking about it, she sent another message.

“Oliver, please tell me. Well, if you tell me, I’ll go back and scrub you and massage you and maybe cook for you. Fine, whatever you want, as long as I have it, I will give it to you.”

After sending the message, Angela lay on the bed and looked at the ceiling weakly.

However, before she could get down on her stomach for even a second, a text message notification rang. Like a carp pouncing on its prey, Angela quickly pounced towards her phone.

Oliver did reply, but there was only one word written on it:

“Me.”

“Oliver Hu bastard, you’re playing with me!” Angela was angry, she would not reply to his text. She couldn’t express her burning anger, but calling people to teach people would have the spirit.

Grabbing her phone, Angela quickly dialed Oliver’s number.

“Hey –“ Oliver answered lazily.

“Fuck you, Oliver, you son of a bitch, are you kidding me?!” Angela was so angry that her words sounded like a trapped lioness. “If you don’t want to tell me, then don’t tell me. Why do you have to bury yourself in me? Are you mocking me? Do you think that’s fun?”

Oliver quietly listened to her. Angela didn’t believe him that he is the guy she met five years ago.

“I’m not playing with you anymore.” Angela was so angry that his eyes were red, and her nose was stuffy, but her voice was overbearing. “I’m telling you, wasn’t it just a man who slept with me? I’ll just take it as a free solicitation with a pimp.”

“Angela!” This time, it was Oliver who roared.

After knowing Oliver for so long, it was the first time Angela had heard such a heavy weight’s angry roar, and he couldn’t help but shrink back.

After a moment…

“Are you still shouting at me?” Her voice became louder, “Oliver, from now on, we will not owe each other anything. Goodbye.”

Just as she was about to hang up, she yelled into her phone, “No, never see you again!”

With trembling hands, she turned off the phone.

Then, as she stared at the ceiling, tears suddenly began to fall. One drop, two drops, three drops. Soon, it was pouring rain. Her tears and snot all covered her face.

As she was crying until she was dizzy, there was a knock on the door.

“Who?” She asked hoarsely.

Her current state cannot be seen by anyone, no one can see her. She didn’t want her parents to worry about her either.

“Angela, come out. Someone is looking for you.” Mrs. Chen’s tone seemed to be filled with joy, “Quickly come out!”

“Mom, I’m tired.” Angela did not move.

“Angela, if you don’t come out, I’ll be coming in!” Who knew that her mother, who usually doted on her, would be even more persistent this time.

After thinking for a while, she wiped away her tears and turned off the light in her room. After confirming that her peach eyes would not be seen by her mother, she opened the door.

“Mom, who is it?” She stared in astonishment at the scene before her.

Barry, who was dressed in casual attire, held onto a large bag of gifts and stood beside Mrs. Chen with a gentle smile that was unique to her.

“Look, Barry is back. He will only leave when he sees you.” Mrs. Chen was elated and joyous. She was so excited that her voice slightly trembled and her eyes seemed to be filled with tears. “You two grow up together.”

“Angela, won’t you let me in?” Barry smiled at her, “I came specially to see your child. I didn’t expect Aunty to actually tell me that Tom had also left today.”

Angela was speechless. What a coincidence?

“It seems that your fates are not over yet?” Barry seemed to heave a long sigh.

Angela looked at the floor silently.

It was true that fate had not yet ended, but it was all fate.

Angela forced out a smile. “My room is narrow.”

“Don’t worry, I’m not fat.” Barry laughed lightly.

She embarrassingly walked out, closed the door behind her and pointed outside. “The air outside is fresh. Let’s go walk around the square.”

After staring at Angela for a while, Barry smiled and nodded. “Angela is right, let’s go to the plaza. We used to play in the square. Let’s go.”

He walked towards Angela and smiled, “At this time, I can still see the sunset. I remember that the Y City’s sunset was really beautiful.”

Angela’s heart was moved.

She silently raised her head and saw that Barry’s smile was as beautiful as it was back then.

The setting sun was like a reflection of the two, drawing the shadows of the two who were originally tall and thin to much longer length.

“Auntie said the child isn’t home.” Barry congealed Angela, “Looks like I came here for nothing today.”

“This means that you guys are not fated to meet each other.”

Alright, the Dad that Tom was looking for is Barry.

“In the future, I will have a rest day every Saturday, so I can come over. It’s just an hour on the high speed rail, it’s convenient and fast.”

Angela quietly raised her head. “Elder Brother Barry, you don’t need to make such arrangements, it’s fine if you don’t see my child.”

“I like him.” Barry bent his body and focused on her. “Angela, I said it before; I am willing to accept you and your child.”

If she said she wasn’t moved, then she was a liar.

“Let’s not talk about the past anymore.” Barry’s voice was especially gentle in the night sky, “Angela, the most important thing is the future.”

Barry held her hand and said, “Angela, let’s get married.”
