Chapter Thirteen.

AMELIA.

"Dylan?" I asked, still confused about the whole thing. She liked Dylan? Was that what she meant? I asked myself.

She threw her head back and laughed out loud. I was very confused, and I don't remember the last time that I was this confused.

"I can basically see the wheels running around in your head right now. Wondering what I mean by saying I want Dylan." She said.

"Yes, I really don't understand what you mean by telling me that you want Dylan," I replied to her, and she nodded, moving towards me a bit.

"Okay, I'll tell you. In order for me to be able to do what I did for you, I need somebody to strengthen me. The spell I cast for you made me very weak, and anything could happen anytime soon. So, I need my strength back." She said.

"Okay, that's very understandable. But how does Dylan come in?" I asked her.

"Oh, I need his blood to cast the spell that would make me strong again." She said simply.

His blood? How was I going to get his blood? We don't even talk like we used to. Oh lord.

"We don't talk again, but I could try to get you some of his blood," I said, still trying to think of ways that I could get the blood.

I'm a very proud lady, and the thought of approaching Dylan after what he did to me alone made my stomach churn. But this was a sacrifice that I had to make since I was the one who came here for a change of what I looked like.

"What do you mean some of his blood?" She asked me.

"You said you needed his blood, and I said I'll find a way to get some," I replied to her, and she laughed.

"I love how naive you are about certain things." She said, and that only made my frown deepen.

What does she mean now? I asked myself.

"What do you mean?" I asked her.

"When I said I needed his blood, I didn't mean some of it; I mean all of it." She said, and I didn't understand it for a second because I just stood there, staring at her like there was something on her face.

But when I finally understood what she meant, my eyes widened.

"What? You want to take all his blood?" I screamed, and she nodded.

"Yes, darling."

"That will basically kill him, though," I said to her, and she laughed.

"Yes, love. That's what I plan on doing. I plan on killing him." She said, and my legs wobbled as I fell to the floor.

"Why do you want to kill Dylan? He didn't do anything, though." I said to her, and she shook her head.

"He did a lot of wrong things, my darling. He broke your precious heart; he made you cry like a baby. He has broken your heart in a way that it can't be mended anymore; why are you saying he didn't do anything wrong?" She asked me, and I shook my head.

"Yes, he did all those things, but he's still my friend. It won't make me stop loving him." I said with a shaky voice, scared at this point. I didn't know what to do.

"You still love him? After the things he did to you? Don't you think that's a little bit pathetic?" She asked me, her voice turning harsh.

"I can't help the way I feel." I screamed. Tears streaming down my eyes. "If I could, I wouldn't have loved him so much, but I can't, and I've come to terms with that," I said, sobbing gently on the floor that I was.

"You're so pathetic. You're a woman, a strong woman now; you've always been strong, but Valerie and her friends made you weak; they made you feel like there was nothing you could do to speak for yourself. Now that you can, you should be able to fight for your feelings. Sleep with different men until your feelings for Dylan die because men will literally line up to get with you." She said.

"I'm not a whore. I'm human, and I'll heal like every human does." I told her in a whisper.

"You're so weak. I was expecting some wicked villain, ready to destroy those who destroyed you. But here you are, weak and scared to kill the person that destroyed your heart." She said in a bitter voice.

"I'm not a murderer; find something else because I'm not going to be the one behind Dylan's death," I told her decisively, standing up and dusting my dress.

"Oh, my darling, I love the fact that you think you have a choice." She said with a smile on her face.

"What?" I asked her.

"Yes, you think you have a choice, don't you? Before I made you so beautiful, I told you that I'd need something in return. And that's the only thing I want. Dylan is a young, vibrant and strong teenager. He looks older than his age, and that's something that I love in men. I can understand your obsession with him." She said, smirking.

"I would have loved to have him in many other ways, you know, without killing him. But unfortunately, it's his blood that I need, and you are going to help me get it. Or else I'll make your life a living hell." She seethed those last words.

"Are you threatening me?" I asked her; my voice was shaking so terribly. I couldn't hide it.

"Yes, honey. I'm threatening you. And there's nothing you can do about it." She retorted.

"Can't you just think of something else? Even if it's money? I have money, a lot of it. Forget about it being Dylan; even if it were Valerie and her friends that you asked for, I still wouldn't give them to you because I'm not a freaking murderer. They made my life a living hell, yes, without a doubt. But I'm not the one to judge them on that. I believe in Karma, so I'm not going to hurt them that badly." I told her.

"Baby, look at me. Do I look like I need money? Oh, do you think because you see me in this cave, I'm some kind of pauper?" She asked and laughed.

"I'm a witch, and that makes me rich, honey. You don't have any other choice. I asked for what I asked, and it's Dylan I want. You have just one week to bring him here. I don't know how you want to do it, and I don't care how you both get here. But if Dylan is not here in a week, be ready for your secrets to be revealed." She said and disappeared.
