CHAPTER 60 — HEROS GREEN

I'm on my knees before the wretched Petrov, and Luther is lying beside me. We determined that we would not kill him because of Faina and now we have the following situation: our father-in-law with a gun pointed at my head.

— Where is my daughter? — he shouts, grabbing my hair.

I laugh and he gets even more nervous.

Luther groans when that bastard Dostoevsky steps on his leg.

Damn, I'm tired of this nonsense.

Sweet, forgive me, but I'm going to punch Dad.

Now!

Your mistake was allowing my hands to be loose. With a disdainful smile, I spit out some of the blood that had accumulated in my mouth at his feet and quickly moved my arms forward, elbowing him in the thigh and another in his stomach. My quick blows surprised him, leaving him stunned, making him take a few steps back.

Before he can compose himself, his hand is already on the gun, which he points at me. I advance towards him without hesitation and deliver another blow, this time to his hand, disarming him.

He may be good, but I'm better.

At a glance, I see Luther, also standing, throwing punches in an intense combat against Dostoevsky, who, brandishing two small knives, displays a sickly smile on his lips.

He doesn't know who Luther is.

— You bastard, I will end you and all your brothers, and I'm going after my sweet girl. — The father of the woman I love is threatening me.

It's a peculiar way to get to know your father-in-law.

— It's sweet… yes, very sweet. — I smile mischievously at him.

He becomes even angrier, shooting at me with two daggers he took from his coat.

Hmm… it’s getting better!

He shoots me with the knife and I hold his arm to stop the blow. I knock him to the ground, but he pulls me closer, making me fall next to him and, with the knife in hand, holds him.

— If I find out that you did something to my daughter and my grandchildren, I will skin you alive, you bastard! — He presses his hand against me, but I manage to twist his wrist, which makes him let go.

— FATHER!!! — We turned our faces in unison when we heard his voice. Faina, Boris, and Zedekiah arrive running with support, and soon twenty of our men appear, followed by Noah and Lohan who appear right behind them.

Damn, what is she doing here?

Dostoevsky manages to free himself from Luther's grip, who was attacking him on the ground, when my brother is distracted by the sight of our girl running towards us.

He whistles and more Bratva men burst in through the back doors, ready for confrontation. We are on equal footing.

— Faina! Glad you arrived and are safe! Let's put an end to them once and for all and get revenge for Andrey's death. — declares Dostoevsky, standing erect, with blood running down his face.

— I can't do that, godfather. — she responds, crying with sadness in her eyes, tears streaming down her face.

— Faina… — says her father, still on top of me, disappointment shining in his eyes.

He already knows.

— Faina, you are our last hope. — mutters Dostoevsky, his voice trembling, trying to contain the physical and emotional pain.

Faina looks away, unable to face the weight of expectation that falls on her shoulders. The cold night wind cuts into your skin, but it's nothing compared to the ice that seems to envelop your heart.

— I've already made my choice, godfather. — she says, her voice breaking.

The silence that follows is dense, almost palpable. Dostoevsky closes his eyes for a moment, trying to find strength in Faina's words. He slowly turns to the others, his fellow fighters, who await the next order with equal despair and hope.

— Why… — Dostoevsky, assess her situation and posture alongside my brothers and our men. —, you are with them… — anger mixes on his face, which becomes full of hatred, the grip of his father's hands on me loosens. — You are with the killers of my son, your husband. You bitch.

Luther hits him hard, twice in a row, causing him to stagger back and fall to the ground. This is how chaos ensues… when our men begin to clash uncontrollably.

— Faina… is this true? — asks her father, trying to get up to go to her, but I pin him to the ground.

— Heros… — she approaches — Are you okay?

— Are you asking if he's okay, while I'm trapped in his arms? — shouts her father, struggling to free himself from me and advance toward her angrily.

— Dad… I'm sorry. — she responds, approaching us, with tears streaming down her face.

— You are not the daughter I raised. — she closes her eyes and lets out a sob — How can you betray your mafia?

— Faina. — I shout as one of her father's men approaches her.

Boris points at him, but my girlfriend, despite being pregnant and with an already bulging belly, manages to defend herself, kicking the man and putting him in a leg lock that knocks him to the ground.

Heros, this is not the right time to get excited, I say to myself, when my penis is throbbing, especially with my father-in-law attached to me.

As the fallen man tries to get back up, another approaches her. The woman in front of me surprises me even more by kicking the man on the ground in the face, who becomes unconscious, and repeats the movement with the other man coming from behind.

— If I weren't in love, I would just fall in love now. — I hear Zedekiah's voice next to us.

Petrov takes advantage of my disorientation to get rid of me and walk away.

— Faina Petrov, stop this now. — her father interrupts her, picking up one of the guns that was on the floor and pointing it at me — Or I'll blow his head off.

— If you do that, you will lose me forever and you will never see your grandchildren again. — She confronts him from the same place, twisting the arm of one of the men who were once her henchmen.

Despite his serene appearance, I can see the gleam of fear in his eyes.

— In fact, I have already lost you, Faina. There is nothing that can keep me away from my grandchildren. — He says, and the gun fires at me when he pulls the trigger.

— NOOOOO. — screams are heard throughout the warehouse, coming from her and my brothers.

He was too close for me to escape the bullet.

— Heros. Heros. Heros. — I see her collapse to her knees on the floor as she approaches me, screaming my name, before my vision becomes blurry and I pass out.
