Blessing From Heaven

Blessing From Heaven
I sat before the dressing mirror, my eyes closed as the maids continued applying makeup to my face.
Putting on the last touch, the maid put the lipstick down and smiled. “You can take a look now, Your Highness.”
I opened my eyes slowly, looked into the mirror, and was met by a remarkably beautiful face staring straight at me.
The woman in the mirror has delicate features, with skin as fair as snow; her long black hair is neatly packed in a bridal bun with a beautiful white flower hairpin holding it together.
She wore a white bridal gown that was glowing with thousands of shimmering lights. A charming smile appeared on her rosy lips, looking alluring yet innocent at the same time.
Is this me?
My eyes widened in astonishment seeing the beautiful woman in the mirror.
“This is so beautiful. Thank you.” I looked at the maids with a grateful expression.
“This is what we should do, Your Highness.” The head maid said. “Now let's put on your veil. The king has been waiting for you at the door.”
One of the maids immediately handed over the white veil to the head maid, which was then draped over my face.
“Let's go.” The maids held my hand, gently assisting me as we headed towards the door.
As soon as the door was opened, I met a figure dressed in an elegant black robe pacing around the door.
Hearing the opening sound of the door, the figure halted his steps and lifted his head up.
“Daughter.” Amos's eyes swelled with emotions as he stared at his beautiful daughter, who was shimmering with bright light.
“Father.” Under the veil, a smile appeared on my lips as I looked at my Dad.
“Are you ready?” He stretched his right hand outward.
“Yes.” I lifted my hand and placed it against his warm palm.
“Let's go.” He whispered, holding my hand, and then walked me out.
…
Oh my God.
My heart shook in astonishment when I saw the stunning view before me.
Up in the sky, millions of golden butterflies danced gracefully, releasing countless golden particles that illuminated the entire sky.
On each side stood giant mountains, with beautiful golden waterfalls cascading down their slopes.
Supported by the mountains was a bridge made of pure immortal jade stretching far into the distance towards where I stood.
On the platform above the golden waterfall stood Vagamound, dressed in a light golden robe. His long hair draped over his shoulder, and a warm smile rested on his lips as he looked at me from afar.
As we walked above the bridge, millions of gazes continued to follow me, watching all of my movements.
“Is that the destined bride? She's so shiny.”
“I wonder how she looks under the veil. She must have been a top beauty for her to capture the heart of the legendary lord.”
“Who would have thought that I would witness the day when the fire realm and the seven realms unite together? This is truly a blessing from heaven.”
The people below continue to chat as the event goes on.
Dad handed my hand over to Vagamound when we arrived on the platform before retreating to the side, standing next to mom.
Vagamound lowered his head and whispered into my ear. “You look so gorgeous today, Belia.”
A blush crept onto my cheeks at his words, and I lowered my head shyly.
“Let's go.” He straightened his upper body and then led me in front of the altar where Eason stood, holding a sheet of paper in his hand.
“Today, we commence the union between Vagamound and Belia.” Eason's voice was not loud, yet it resonated in the ears of everyone around.
He moved his head, looking directly at Vagamound. “Vagamound, do you take Belia to be your wedded wife, to live together in marriage, to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, and forsaking all others, and be faithful only to her? So long as you both shall live?”
Vagamound looked at me, caressing my hand gently. “I do.”
Eason turned his gaze at me. “Belia, do you take Vagamound to be your wedded husband, to live together in marriage, to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, and forsaking all others, and be faithful only to him so long as you both shall live?”
“ I do,” I said softly.
“With heaven to bear witness and the people here to bear attestation, I hereby officially announce you two as husband and wife.”
‘Wooo!’ The surrounding people immediately burst out into a loud cheer.
“You may now lift the bride's veil,” Eason said.
Vagamound held the tip of my veil and flipped it over. His heart trembled in amazement as his eyes met mine.
“You are so beautiful, Belia.”
“You look handsome too.” I complimented, lowering my head in shyness.
He stretched out his hand, placing it against my chin before tilting my head upward. He slowly moved closer until, finally, his soft lips pressed against mine.
The entire crowd went up in another uproar.
The kiss was short, and Vagamound pulled back, holding my hand in his.
He led me towards the two seats across the center of the platform and sat me down.
As he sat next to me, people kept coming forward to the platform, offering gifts and blessings for our union.
