We left off with the group using light magic to dispel Raven's shadow magic. Morgan couldn't resist taunting Raven. So far, Raven just suspects Cassius and a white witch are behind this recent roadblock in her journey to become a god. Eva suspects that Raven needs Sam to complete her plan and that she just wants Cassius because he defied her. But is there more to it?

Vlad says, “Well I'm done being wet,” as he dries himself using his fire.
Eric nods, “Yeah I agree but it was fun though.”
Katie giggles, “So was and I didn't even need the hose!”
Vincent looks over at Sam, “Sam what is it?”
Sam was sitting staring down at the valley. I feel confusion, loss, and betrayal wrapped in sadness coming from him.We all approached him and sat down.
Sam sighs, “She lied about so much.”
Morgan hops onto his shoulder, “You listen now boy! She did what she had to do. I also don't think that she knows all. You lost your patents Sam and she couldn't lose you too. It wasn't a coincidence. It's all linked. Just like your friendship with Eric and your imprinting Eva at first sight.”
Agnes nods, “She's right and we will find out everything. If you don't have faith in what we say at least have faith in your mate.”
Sam looks at me, “I do.” He sighs, “It's just that I would've liked to know why I'm different from my brothers, even my twin brother.”
Vlad says, “Sam. We all are different. Even if I was Vincent's brother by birth we would still be different.”
“Vlad is right and so is Morgan. I never knew my parents and I was always different not just because I had no family, but because I questioned things and never settled for a mediocre answer.”
I go and move myself to his lap so I can look into his eyes, “I see and feel you. Nothing before matters because it's done and led us here. We followed our own paths but they still intersected. ‘The person who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. The person who walks alone is likely to find himself in places no one has ever seen before.’- Albert Einstein. Babe, we walk alone, but we do it together. All of us will walk beside you through anything.”
Sam cups my face, “I would die for you. I love you.”
“I'm glad you won't have to, but I do love you too.”
We kiss and it nearly stops time. Sam breaks our kiss and looks between us all, “I think there's something in my blood, maybe all of ours. It is why we are different. Why we evolved into Gods.”
Katie points, “Guys, is the moon supposed to look like that?”
And there making its way above the horizon is a huge moon. Morgan gasps, “The blood moon. I had forgotten one was coming.”
Katie asks, “Is this bad?”
Morgan looks at her, “It can be. It has a few meanings and is significant to any who practice witchcraft. For you Eva, I think it means that fire and light will enter your life and your inner witch will awaken.” She scoffs and laughs, “Which it already has. But for regular witches, these moons have a history. For instance, there's the blood-moon prophecy that predicts the end of days. But we have a few of these a year or at least yearly, so the world hasn't ended yet. But that doesn't mean it won't one day. This moon can also be seen as a time for change.”
Agnes giggles, “Which just happened.”
Morgan explains, “Some think that a blood moon is the gods’ way of signaling a calamity.”
Agnes purrs, “Yet something that just happened and will again when Raven dies.”
Morgan nods, “But witches will draw power from this moon because the celestial orb will go beyond a blood moon, transforming from copper to sea-green to a neutral tint to silvery. This color transition signifies change, life, rebirth, and light thus emitting power that magic welders absorb.”
Agnes nods, “Why Raven’s shadow magic worked so well tonight and it will during the duration of this moon.”
Morgan purrs, “But so will our light magic!”
Katie smiles, “So it will balance us.”
Agnes nods, “Yes and no matter how strong Raven gets, so will we!”
“We are the light that darkness can't extinguish.”
Morgan purrs, “Yes, my goddess. Yes, we are!”
***Sam’s POV***
After this moon phase is over, we are going to have a word with Gran. I need to know everything that she does. It's time that I learned what I was now that I know what I am. Just how connected are the Falls to the prophecy? It wasn't just random magic because most of my family fought that day. Yet, I'm the only one that has transformed beyond a werewolf. I feel so many emotions. But right now all I want to feel is my wife!
