Father is here again.
Father is here again.
Blaze's POV
Savena was missing. I felt like my brain was being played with. How did she leave without anyone knowing, and now Reena was saying she locked Rhys in the restroom?
What could be the reason she locked Rhys in the restroom while she left the house? I mean, she could have told Rhys she wanted to leave and he would have let her.
“Did she tell Rhys anything like she was leaving, or did you notice any changes in her before she locked Rhys in the restroom?” I asked, staring at Reena.
She just placed her hand on her head as though the last thing she wanted right now was questioning.
“Well, she asked where Thalia was,” Reena said nonchalantly as she crossed her legs against each other.
I saw Thalia move towards her. “Why did she ask where I w..was?” Thalia asked with trembling lips as she squatted in front of Reena.
Reena just smiled at Thalia. “You looked prettier, darling,” Reena murmured as she touched Thalia's hair.
I saw Thalia sigh before she held Reena's hand. “Reena, this is not the time for this,” I heard Thalia say as she pulled Reena’s hand away from her head.
Reena exhaled. “Okay, fine,” she uttered. “I think Rhys and her were having a conversation about you, you remember what happened earlier?” Reena asked, staring at Thalia.
“Yes I remembered,” Thalia whispered.
Then she continued. “The conversation led to her asking about you, and Rhys told her you guys were not in the main house,” Reena said with a tight smile.
Then she shifted her gaze to me. “Happy now?” Reena said as she relaxed her back on the chair.
I walked towards the chair and sat, placing my hand on my head.
“So you're trying to say Savena asked where Thalia was and then she disappeared after knowing Thalia wasn’t in the main house?” Milo uttered as he placed his hand on his waist.
“exactly!” Reena uttered as she snapped her finger at Milo's words. “You are finally getting smart Milo.”
“Well, that didn't make sense,” Jax said this time, staring at Reena as if there was something she was not telling us.
I didn’t even know how to handle the issue at hand because I didn’t really think Reena had any reason to lie about Savena, but what she said was totally not understandable.
Reena eyed Jax. “Who cares? What mattered is that she’s gone,” Reena said as she waved her hand, dismissing Jax’s words.
“She’s gone, and that’s why we should care,” Jax said, glaring at Reena.
I rubbed my temples. “Jax, check the CCTV footage,” I interrupted their conversation.
“Oh, okay,” Jax nodded as he walked to where his laptop lay on the table.
If she had gone out of the house, then we would be able to see her from the CCTV camera outside.
My gaze remained locked on Jax, who connected the CCTV to the projector in the living room.
We all stared at the screen in silence. Jax adjusted the time frame from when we left Rhys’s room till the current time.
But as the clip from minutes ago played, we saw nothing. Not even a single soul was captured by the camera.
I ran my hand through my hair. This was getting interesting because wherr the fuck did she disappear to? And how did she disappear?
Everyone remained silent until suddenly Reena’s voice broke through the air.
“You all need to relax, she was probably tired of you all and she left. You guys bother yourselves too much,” Reena said with a snort.
“If you don't understand what's going on, can you please shut the fuck up!?” Milo snapped at Reena.
“You don't talk to me like that, Rhys,” Reena fired back at Milo, giving him a death stare.
The rest of us just remained mute. I didn’t even have the time for all this banter.
I waved my hand up. “Enough! We don't need this right now,” I said with a stern voice.
Reena threw one last glare at Milo before she rested her head on her hand.
Then I added, “Savena just vanished into thin air. We didn't even know if we should be worried or glad,” I said calmly.
Suddenly, Thalia stood. “Is anything missing?” Thalia asked, staring at our faces.
I frowned at her. What did she mean? The only thing missing right now was Savena.
“I noticed something,” Thalia said again as she paced the room.
“When Savena was here, I caught her staring at my room as though she wanted something,” Thalia said as she halted, clamping her hands together.
“What do you mean?” I asked as we locked gazes, and she didn’t have to say anything. I understood what she meant.
“That means she had gotten what she wanted,” I said, which made Thalia snap her fingers at me.
“Okay, so if she left without a notice, that meant she was sent or probably she herself came to take something from us,” Milo blurted as his eyes widened in realization.
I closed my eyes. The situation was sinking in. She wasn't alone. The way she came and left without a trace, and the way she used Rhys to make us let her stay, thinking about everything makes me look stupid.
“Shit!” I whispered as I clenched my jaw. This was more complicated than I had thought because we didn’t even know what the fuck she took, why she took it, and what damage it could cause us.
I stood, my gaze darting across everyone in the room. “We need to search the house,” I said calmly.
“And as for Savena… even if we had to search hell to bring her back, we…” My sentence was cut short when I heard my phone ring in my pants pocket.
I brought out the phone. Immediately I saw the person calling, I raised my head and placed my hand on my mouth so everyone would stay silent.
Then I swiped the answer button. “Hello, Father,” I said with a calm voice.
“I’m on my way to the house. Matter of fact, I will be there in few minutes. I want everyone gathered before I arrive,” my father said hurriedly across the phone.
Before I could reply, he had already ended the call. My face went stiff as my hand tightened on the phone.
“Is there a problem?” Milo asked, staring at me.
I tossed my phone back into my pants pocket. “Father would be here very soon,” I whispered, staring into space.
“How? What? I mean, what is he trying to come and do?” Jax asked, staring at me with wide eyes.
“I don't know. He sounded anxious. I think there’s a problem.” As soon as those words left my mouth, we heard horns outside.
I sat on the couch. Suddenly, the door opened, making all heads snap towards the door.
“Pops,” I whispered as I tried to stand. He raised his hand, stopping me.
“What the hell has been happening here?” Father asked, his eyes darting to Reena, then he raised his eyebrows.
“And why is Reena here? Where is Rhys?” he pointed at Reena.
I cleared my throat. “At least have a seat, Father,” I said, earning a death glare from him.
“I asked a question. What the hell has been happening here!” Father snapped again and I could hear anger booming in his voice.
“We don't understand what you were trying to say,” Jax said calmly with a furrowed brow.
My father scoffed. “You don't understand?” he said, staring at Jax with a pissed gaze.
Then he continued through clenched teeth. “Why am I getting a call that the rebirth is from my family!” Father barked.
The room fell into total silence instantly.
I stood up, walking slowly to where he stood, “I can explain,” I whispered with a low voice.
I saw my father’s jaw clench hard. “You know, I thought if something like this happened, you would be the first to tell me about this,” Father said, staring at me with a disappointed look.
My mouth clamped shut. I didn't even know how he knew. It's not like we don't want to tell him, it's just complicated.
Moreover, We had been very careful, so how come he heard the news?
Father breathed heavily. “And now the whole council is aware,” he said.
I wanted to say something, but it was as though words died on my tongue.
The next word my father uttered, made my heart sink into a bottomless pit.
“Thalia, you’re leaving with me now,” Father declared with a voice that left no room for argument.
