Chapter Two Hundred And One

The morning came quietly.
Tia blinked her eyes open and the first thing she saw was Adam’s arm wrapped around her.

His chest was pressed against her back, his breath warm against her neck. For a moment, she froze, not knowing what to do.

He was still asleep, looking calm too calm for the man who once broke her heart. She turned slightly, staring at his face. His hair was messy, and his lips were parted just a little.

Something pulled at her chest, something she didn’t want to feel.

Before she could stop herself, she leaned in and kissed him softly on the cheek. Then she quickly pulled away, eyes wide.

“Oh my God,” she whispered, covering her mouth.
She slipped out of bed carefully so she wouldn’t wake him and hurried out of the room, her heart racing fast.

She stood by the hallway, still trying to catch her breath. “What did I just do?” she muttered to herself, blushing so hard she had to press her hands on her face.

Instead of thinking about it too much, she went straight to the kitchen to prepare Andy’s breakfast. Anything to distract her mind from that awkward, sweet moment.

By the time Andy came out, already in his school uniform, her heart was back to normal. He ran to her, smiling.

“Mommy, I don’t want to be late for my second day!”

She smiled. “You won’t, baby. Sit, eat quickly.”

Adam came downstairs soon after, freshly showered and dressed, looking serious and put-together. He glanced at her once, then at Andy.

“Morning,” he said in his calm voice.
She nodded, “Morning.”

Andy’s laughter filled the kitchen. The tension between his parents softened a little.

After breakfast, Adam helped Andy wear his backpack. “Ready, champ?”
Andy grinned. “Yes, Daddy!”

The SUVs were already waiting outside. Tia followed behind them, standing by the door as Andy climbed in.
“Bye, Mommy!” he waved.
She smiled, waving back. “Be good, okay?”

When they drove off, the house grew quiet again.

Adam turned to her. “I’ll be at my place today. Call me if you need anything,” he said.
She only nodded. He waited a second, then left.

She stood there for a while, staring at nothing, replaying that morning kiss in her mind. She couldn’t stop smiling until her mind reminded her, Don’t fall again.

Hours later, she was walking down the long hallway of the Black mansion when she heard laughter coming from Mr. Black’s study. The door was half-open.

She stopped.

Inside, Adam was sitting across from a young woman. The woman was dressed sharply and confident, Tia was unaware that she was just one of the black's PR.

They were reviewing documents, talking seriously at first, but then the woman laughed at something and gently touched his arm.

Adam looked uncomfortable but still forced a polite laugh.

Tia froze. Something twisted deep inside her.
She didn’t even understand why it hurt that much but it did.

“He’s free to do whatever he wants,” she whispered to herself, trying to walk away.
But her chest felt tight." Perhaps nothing's going on between us" she added.

We had such a beautiful love once, she thought. So he’s moved on… why pretend like he still cares?

She left quietly before they noticed her.

That night, when Adam came with Andy to say good night, she tried to smile but her mood was gone.
“Good night, baby,” she said softly, hugging Andy tight.
Adam noticed she didn’t look at him once.

After putting Andy to bed, he walked back to her room and knocked.
“Who’s there?” she asked.
“It’s me,” he said.

He opened the door slowly and stepped in. She was sitting on the bed, looking down.

“How are you doing?” he asked.
“I’m fine,” she said, voice flat.

He frowned. “You sure? You seem off.”

She hesitated before speaking. “Can you just leave? I don’t want to feel like I’m getting in the way of your new relationship with her.”

He blinked. “What are you talking about?”

“You know what I mean,” she said, folding her arms. “You both look perfect together she’s beautiful, confident, has your kind of lifestyle. I’m not blind, Adam.”

Then he understood. “You saw me with the PR lady earlier, didn’t you?”

She didn’t answer, just looked away.

“She means nothing to me, Tia. She only came for work from Australia. That was our first meeting in person,” he explained, sitting closer.

He reached for her hands slowly. “Look at me.”

She refused at first, but he gently lifted her chin. “You still care. I see it.”

“Stop,” she whispered, her voice breaking a little.

He smiled faintly. “My little jealous princess.”

Her heart jumped at those words.

He pulled her closer, wrapping his arms around her. She didn’t push him away. Instead, she held onto him like she had been waiting for this moment all along.

“I know you still want this,” he said softly. “Don’t deny it.”

Her breath came unevenly. “Adam…”

“I love you,” he whispered. “Please come back.”

Her eyes watered. “I’m here. I never left,” she said softly.

He smiled, pressing his forehead against hers.

They stayed like that for a long time before their lips met again. It wasn’t rushed it was warm, deep, familiar.

“I missed you,” he said between the kisses.
“I missed you too,” she whispered.

When he brushed her hair behind her ear and kissed her again, everything else disappeared. It was just them two people finding their way back after all the pain.

the space between them disappeared. His hands framed her face while hers gripped his shirt, pulling him closer.

Years of pain, love, and longing melted into that one moment.
It wasn’t rushed. It was everything they had held back for too long.

She let him hold her, and he did like he was afraid she might disappear again. Their hearts beat fast, the room felt still, and all that existed was them.

He whispered her name like a promise. She answered with his.

And when the light dimmed, and the night grew quieter, they didn’t speak again — they just stayed wrapped in each other’s arms, finally breathing in peace.

It wasn’t about passion anymore; it was about coming home.

Is it still tight there " he said teasingly.

She realized what he meant and laughed.

He slowly unbuttoned her silk night dress with buttons on them.

Revealing her bust

" They got rounder" he said his eyes peeking at her breast

" I'm shy " she said.

He switched off the main light and left only the lamp on.

He started from her neck then she landed on the bed and he stimulated his penis in her.

He breathed.

"It is just the way I left it " he said.

She moaned softly.

" I love you " he said.

'" is it hurting" he asked.

" Kinda " she said.still moaning hard

Later that night, they fell asleep in each other’s arms, the sound of their breathing filling the quiet room.

After so many years apart, it finally felt like home again.
