Cassie's Transformation
“Wow, you look amazing!” Ralph can't believe how beautiful Cassie became now that she's a vampire. 

“Thanks! Good to know that you like how I look now.” Cassie replied and showed a sinister smile.

Ralph can't help but feel sad but proud of her at the same time. Sad because she chose to become one of the undead. Although he's proud of her because of how brave she was. Turning into a vampire is not a walk in the park since it hurts like hell. The bite of a vampire is just surprising. But if the purpose of the bite is to turn someone, it's like torture. When he got bitten a long time ago, he wished really hard for him to just die already. 

“Did you have a hard time?” he asked worriedly.

“It's like I went to hell and went back.” she laughed loudly.

“At least the worst is over. What's next for you now?” he realized that she will need blood from now on. 

“I want to stay here. You don't like sucking blood from humans anyway. There will be no competition between us.” she replied in a serious tone now.

He doesn't know what to say since Cassie's mind is made up. The problem is, Arabelle is human and she will be in the castle soon. How can he guarantee her safety with another vampire around? Although he can't just let Cassie go stray. She's still a new vampire so she might end up victimizing everyone. People might know about their existence and end up killing them all. The vampire council will punish them both even if they survive. 

“Arabelle will go back here soon. Can you control yourself around humans?” he informed her and asked.

“Oh right, she's your new assistant. Maybe I can just avoid her if she needs to be here.” she replied.

“If you want to stay here, you can't have human victims. You can just drink blood from a bag or from animals.” he explained his terms to her.

“I don't understand that principle of yours. Why not use humans for food? We are better than them.” she replied and complained about his terms.

“We used to be humans. Let's just avoid them out of respect.” he explained to her briefly.

“Whatever you say!” she just told him since she doesn't want to argue with him anymore.

Cassie looks like she has already adjusted with her new life. Nobody knows what she has to go through from the vampire council. Before they turned her to become one of them, she got tortured really badly. They tested her will to become a vampire. She had to beg them to turned her into one but the torture continues. The pain she took from them was unbearable but she keeps on going. She was sure she's about to die and that's when she felt the fangs.

One of the council members has finally bitten her before she succumb from their torture. After she was turned, it felt like another torture for her. She felt her blood boiling  inside her body literally. Her body became so weak that she couldn't even get up. They said that it was just vampire fever but she felt like she's dying all over again. She heard them say that her mortal body is already dying, that's why it hurts so bad. Everything went dark after that.

She is suddenly awakened by the sunlight burning her skin. That's when she realized that she was left in one of the rooms on the vampire council. Thankfully, the huge windows are partly covered with a curtain. If she gets exposed to the sunlight, she will melt like butter literally. She still felt weak but she can already move a little and uses that remaining strength to hide from the sun. When she realizes why she's there,she looks at her hands.

Her skin is really pale and remembered how pale Ralph was as well. She suddenly felt ecstatic since it means that she's now a vampire. That's when she heard crying and someone was pushed inside her room. It was a teenage boy who looked scared. She can't help but to try to console the teen and moves towards him. His expression changes from fear to relief that she was with him. Without a warning, she bites his neck and starts to drain his blood. 

“Congratulations! You're now officially one of us.” a tall handsome man said after she killed the teen.

“I just killed him! He looked so scared and then relived. I made him believe he's safe with me.” Cassie uttered.

“Don't worry, that's just your conscience. It gets easier over time. By the way, I'm Philip.” he told her.

“I'm already a vampire?” she still can't believe it.

Philip just nodded as a sign that she's already a vampire. She feels stronger after she drinks the blood of the teen. It was her first kill and her conscience seems to make her feel the guilt. Philip became her mentor for the next few weeks. He taught her how to stalk people and then kill them after sucking their blood. They don't want to turn everyone into a vampire so they have to make sure they're dead. She killed about twenty people during those times. 

Now that she's back to the castle, Ralph doesn't want her to kill any humans. How can she survive without their blood? She already knows that he survives with blood bags but there's no thrill there. It doesn't give her the satisfaction of looking at the scared faces of her victims. She just agreed to his terms not to victimize his friends but she still plans to have a satisfying meal. All she needs to do is to go out at night to find her victims in the dark.

“By the way, I'll be hunting in the forest tonight. Do you want to come with me?” Ralph asked her.

“Sure, I'd love to see you hunt. You can teach me to catch and bite animals.” she said, trying not to sound sarcastic. 

“It's a bit different than hunting humans. You can suck their blood without the guilt.” he explained.

“Wow, it's like going on a diet. Although we can spend the night together so I'm in.” she said excitedly and left.

Ralph knows that Cassie is being repulsive about his idea to hunt animals. It's the only way he can show her how to survive without killing humans. He doesn't want her to live in guilt like him before. It's hard to drink the blood of his victims along with their memories. That's what's making him guilty after going for human blood. It might be different with her since she asked to become a vampire. She will live forever so it's better to avoid the guilt now.

“Sorry, I can't hide anymore.” Justin suddenly shows up.

“Justin, why are you hiding?” Ralph was surprised. 

“New vampires like werewolf blood!” Justin replied.

“Don't worry, she can't hurt you while I'm here.” Ralph assured him that made Justin feel relieved.
