Awake
Arabelle noticed that something seemed to change in the hallway. She can't tell if they are back to their own dimension or still lost. When they heard the growling from the room, they immediately ran away. It's better to be lost than to end up in that beast's belly. Although they are not sure if that was a monster, it's better not to know what exactly it was. Ralph is still holding her hand which makes her feel safer. He will not let anything bad happen to her.
“It looks like the normal hallway now.” She noticed.
“Let's go check if we can find your mom's room.” Ralph suggested.
They both walk back where the rooms in that hospital are supposed to be. Luckily, they seem to find the room where Arabelle's mom is staying. She immediately tries to open the door but it's locked. They exchanged glances and she decided to knock instead. Amie was supposed to be there so she could open the door for them. Arabelle waited a few seconds before knocking again. She wants to see her mom and hopes that she's already awake.
“Sis, you're back!” Amie exclaimed when she opened the door and saw them outside.
Arabelle hugged her sister the moment she saw her. She missed Amie after being in that never ending hallway. Even if she doesn't want to leave her, it seems that something always happens to do that. Good thing they were able to get out of that dimension. If they stay there for another day, she doesn't think they can go back anymore. She suddenly feels hungry again now that they are back. They entered the room and she saw their mom.
“Mom, you're awake!” She exclaimed and can't believe that she's no longer in a coma.
“Yeah, I just woke up today but I feel fine now.” her mom informed her.
“She wants to go home already.” Amie told her sister.
“We need to get you checked by the doctor first.” she replied to her mom.
Ralph let them catch up since their mom seems to be fine now. He took a seat on the couch inside the hospital room and waited for them to settle. That's when he thought about Armand's spell. It looks successful since Arabelle's mom is awake now. At least it's a happy come back and he felt relieved that they are here now. He swears that if they end up staying in that dimension longer, he will end up dead. It's better than to live with Arabelle's blood.
“You're back!” Justin excitedly said when he saw Ralph.
“Oh hey, Justin. Where have you been?” Ralph asked the moment he entered the room.
“I went to check on Armand but he's not home. Although it looks like his spell worked!” Justin replied and was happy to see that Arabelle's mom was already awake.
“He's the one who broke the curse?” Arabelle asked.
“Yeah. He casted the spell the other night.” Justin replied.
All of them felt relieved to know that the curse is already broken. It means that Arabelle's mom will no longer feel burdened by it anymore. Although Armand is nowhere to be found so that they can thank him properly. They decided that they will look for him once they are out of the hospital. Everything seems to be working out the way it should be. Arabelle and Ralph were able to escape the never ending hallway. Then the curse is already broken.
“I hope we can see Armand soon.” Arabelle's mom said.
“Don't worry, mom. We will look for him and bring him to you.” Arabelle promised.
“We should celebrate once your mom gets home.” Justin suggested and seems to be in the mood to party.
“That's a good idea! Let's do that soon.” Arabelle replied.
They all seem to be excited with Justin's suggestion. It's really a good idea to celebrate. Arabelle's mom was under that curse for more than twenty years. Now that it's already broken, they should celebrate. They have to go home first and prepare for the party. The doctor was called to check on her mom's condition. It seems to be fine now since the patient is already awake. She can already go home and just prescribed some vitamins.
“Looks like we're ready to go home now!” Arabelle announced after the doctor left the room.
“Yhey! We're finally going home.” Amie cheered.
“We should eat first though. I'm starving!” Arabelle suggested and they all agreed.
“I have to find something for myself first. All of you can go to a restaurant nearby.” Ralph informed them and gave some money to Arabelle for their meal.
After they all left, Ralph decided to go to the blood bank in that hospital. He was able to think about that earlier while they were talking about having a celebration. The never ending hallway made him feel parched. He needs to consume blood before he can think straight again. The blood bank didn't seem to have a guard when he found it. He slips through the door to finally have his meal. It will be easier to buy it but he thinks that it's not for sale.
“Let's just eat here so Ralph can find us easily.” Arabelle suggested when she saw a pizza place nearby.
“It's a good idea, sis. I love pizza!” Amie feels excited.
“Sure, let's go for pizza then!” Justin replied.
“I think I can eat the whole pie!” Arabelle's mom said that made them all laugh with her sense of humor.
They all went inside the pizza place so that they could order right away. Arabelle can't help but to feel happy now that they are out of the hospital. Her mom looks like she can really eat a lot. Hopefully, her mom will be fine now that there's no curse to make her sick anymore. They ordered a lot of food as if they were already celebrating. When the food arrives, all of them dig in as if someone is chasing them. Laughter filled the place as they eat.
