Chapter 2 World Class Maid

As Julissa came in, the scene in the study was similar to what she had imagined.

Mrs. Lloyd was wearing a wine-red lace dress, and her shoulders were exposed, revealing her chest. She put her arms around the neck of Declan and pouted her red lips to invite Declan to kiss her.

When she saw the maid coming in, she frowned slightly and looked unhappy.

What a perfect time!

"Go back to your room. I have a lot of work tonight."

"We haven't been together since we got married, D..." Anna was hinting and dissatisfied.

"You know, I'm busy."

The tone of Declan seemed to be full of tenderness and pampering, but also irresistible!

Anna opened her mouth but didn't say anything. She turned around and left the study with disappointment. The moment she passed by Julissa, she felt a dissatisfied look from Mrs. Lloyd.

"You're the new maid, Julissa."

"Yes!"

Anna said in a condescending and contemptuous tone.

Julissa nodded professionally and watched Anna leave the study.

"The tea you ordered, Mr. Lloyd."

Julissa maintained a professional maid's smile and handed over the tea in a light and gentle tone.

Without taking the tea from Julissa, Declan smiled mockingly and looked down at her. "Don't you know the basic etiquette of knocking on the door before coming in?"

"The longer Mrs. Lloyd stays here, the more trouble Mr. Lloyd will face, right?"

The smart question stunned Declan slightly. This woman was smarter than he had imagined!

He sized up the new maid, then picked up the teacup and took a sip.

"This is a kind of herbal tea added with lavender that could relax the nerves. It's good for your health to work at night."

Julissa brought the herbal tea to Declan, "Mr. Lloyd, there's no sugar in it. It's natural sweetness."

Declan did not like sweets, nor did he like white sugar. Julissa had kept this in mind seriously.

Declan raised his eyebrows slightly, and his handsome nose made a metallic sound. He did not pursue the matter of her breaking in rudely.

He took a sip of the herbal tea. It was fragrant and lingering in his mouth.

The atmosphere suddenly quieted down.

Seeing that the table was a little messy, Julissa began to clean it up.

In the overly quiet study, only Julissa made a slight sound as she tidied up the bookshelf. Declan, who had been working, raised his eyes slightly. He saw that the woman was wearing a black and white maid dress, which outlined her delicate figure. The soft halo of the wall lamp enveloped her elegant aura, and coupled with her serious look, Declan was amazed.

She didn't cross the line at all.

But at this moment, a figure at the door was watching everything here.

It was Anna. She didn't leave. She was worried about a maid with such a beautiful face like Julissa staying alone with her husband.

She spied on Julissa with sharp eyes. If she dared to do anything out of line, she would never let her go.

Declan saw through what Anna was doing. Anna had used despicable means to make him marry her. Now, she still wanted to control everything about him.

He was not a stupid man. He looked at Julissa, who was still doing her job.

He wondered if Anna would give up and leave the Lloyd family if she knew that he didn't like her.

All of a sudden, Julissa was hugged by Declan from behind.
