His Chambers

" I am sorry about how I treated you flower "

" I know I deserved your anger " he apologized again .

" You hurt me " I muttered under my breath.

" I am sorry " He said kissing my shoulders and I blushed .

We he carried me in his arms as we changed into our clothes then slept in his Chambers .

The next morning ,I woke up with a smile on my face as my mind trailed back to everything that happened the previous day .

" Good morning Amour " he said as he kissed my neck softly.

" Goodmorning love " I said blushing red .

He chuckled as he got down from the bed .

After doing my business for the morning , I decided to check on Rhea if everything was okay with her .

On my way to her room I met her already dressed and ready .

" Hey Mom " she waved excitedly and I smiled .

" Goodmorning sweetie ,how are you feeling today ? I asked as my fingers trailed her hair .

" Rhea '" Lorenzo called and she turned .

" Father " she said nervously .

He looked really angry for an unknown reason .

We met at the breakfast table and everyone ate in silence including Ares .

I wonder what he talked to Rhea about .

Did it have anything to do with the fact that she called me mom ? I wondered.

My heart squeezed with hurt and I decided it wasn't the right time to ask him about his past mate and the children's mother .

We just got out of a fight , talking about her might just lead us right back into that fight .

After breakfast Lorenzo left the table ,he really looked worried .

" Is everything okay Auro ? Ren asked worriedly.

" Yes baby everything is fine " I said and smiled at him .

" Athena " I said in excitement when my eyes sighted her in the pack house .

" You are here ? I asked and she blushed red .

" Huh ...I came to check up on you while you where sick and found Vincenzo the Beta ,he's my mate " she said and I screamed excitedly.

" Oh my goodness really ? That is such a good news I am so happy " I said genuinely happy for my sister .

Mates where the destinies of two wolves who are tied together by a supreme being known as the moon goodess .

And two mates can recognize themselves when they meet for the first time .

Yet Lorenzo and I have stayed for months and didn't feel the mate bond because I am not his mate .

Could it be because he lost his first mate .

Is that why ? What if I meet my real mate someday ?

Will I be able to leave the blood moon pack and all I have here for another man just because the goddess tied our lives together ?

I rubbed my face anxiously.

" Are you okay Aurora ? She asked.

" Yes yes yes I am fine ,and so excited to have you here ,it was really starting to get boring you know " I said hugging her once again .

" Tell me everything that happened " I said excitedly as we walked towards my Chambers .

" Vincenzo is such a gentleman,I can't believe we have stayed in the same pack for all this time and never met officially " she said and I could see how happy she felt .

" Enough about me and Vincenzo ,how are things with the Alpha ? She asked and I opened my mouth to tell her about everything but Smiled.

She never really liked Lorenzo in the first place , telling her about everything might just increase her anger .

" Auro " she called making me snap out of my thoughts .

" Good everything has been good ,how about I show you around the palace ? I asked excitedly.

" Sure " she said and I walked her round .

" The mating season is fast approaching and I am so excited .

" I have heard it is time for the Alpha to choose a mate Auro ,since you and him are officially dating each other now , whoelse would it be " she said excitedly and I blushed red .

" What are your plans ? She asked .

" I don't know ,I don't really remember anything about attending a mating season before " I said sadly .

" It's okay ,I'm sure everything will be okay ,the Alpha is here to put you through" she said and I gave a nod .

After the events of the full day ,I returned to my Chambers after dinner Freshened up and He wasn't back yet .

I was starting to get worried but then he's capable of taking care of himself.

Is it because Rhea called me mom ?

Is he avoiding me again ? I wondered and couldn't sleep.

I paced around the room and after a while I found myself fall asleep on the marble floor .

The next morning I woke up when I felt the door of the bathroom shut close .

There he was clad in fresh clothes looking all gorgeous.

'" Good morning " he said and I stared at him .

" Where were you last night ? I asked standing up from the floor .

" Babe you are just getting up from the bed shouldn't you be ...." He trailed .

" Where were you Lorenzo ! I bursted Angrily.

" I had business to attend to " he muttered under his breath.

" What business ? Did it have anything to do with Silver ? I asked in hurt .

" What does she have to do with this Aurora ? He asked annoyed .

" Everything !"

" Everything Lorenzo , We just got back together the least you could do is respect me " I said my voice breaking at the edge .

" I was not with silver ,woman ! " He yelled Angrily.

" Where were you ? I asked.

" I need to clear my head ,I had a lot running through my mind ,I did not want you to see me in that condition." He said and my eyes softened in his direction.

" Did it have anything to do with Layla ? I asked and he froze .

" It is Layla right ? Was that why you warned Rhea not to call me mom ...? I asked in hurt .

" It's not what you think Aurora. ." He tried to explain .

" Then what ? Am I just a joke to you. I understand I can never be Layla your real mate ,but do you need to hurt me so bad to satisfy your ego ? I asked wiping the tears that rolled out of my eyes.

" It is just a misunderstanding " he said and tried to hold my hand as I walked out of his Chambers in anger .

She left ,Auro is so stubborn she won't even listen to me .

What do I do? Everything is getting so complicated and I feel like I have my back against the wall .

Rumours are spreading about another pack making plans to conquer my territory and that has got me worried for a long time .

I don't know what would happen ,I mean loosing Layla in the last war years ago was enough pain .

How do I cope if everything I have worked so hard to build suddenly goes down the drain again ?

I am so confused.

" Ren " Vincenzo said walking into my Chambers..

" I met Auro outside she looked really disturbed" he said worriedly.

" We fought " I said and sat down on the bed .

" Again ? He Cursed under his breath.

" She brought up Layla ,you should know how that would end up " I said and sighed at the end .

" You are hurting her way too much these days don't you think ? He asked with concern .

" I know and I am trying my best to make it up to her, you of all people should know this " I said and he sighed .

" We need to see Ariela " he said getting up .

" The witch ? What do we need to see her for ? She does not have anything lucrative to tell us except Evil prophesies" I said angrily.

" She sees the future , meeting her would at least help us in knowing where we stand " he advised.

" Fine " I said and rubbed my face anxiously.

Aurora wouldn't talk to me during and after breakfast , I decided to try and patch things up after my return from the woods .

I checked my watch and mind linked Vincenzo to hurry up .

We arrived at Ariella's cave in the woods and Vincenzo went in first .

Alpha Ren to what do I owe this Suprise visit " she asked in her scary voice .

Ariella a skinny old woman the last witch around our borders .

Her family members have been killed by witch hunters in the past .

She stared at me While playing with her curly white hair .

" I need to look into the future , there has been a lot dangers surrounding my pack lately" I said and she laughed.

" I see a long complicated life ahead of you Alpha Ren " she said smirking .

" What are you talking about ? I asked frowning.

" You have another chance at happiness ,but it will come with a price which I am certain you are not willing to pay " she said and I stared at Vincenzo's face .

" Tell me about my pack " I said and she closed her eyes .

Her next words had me rooted on the spot as my heart broke .

We returned to the pack and Vincenzo gave a nod in my direction and he called it a day .

Walking into my Chambers i noticed she was no where to be found .

I checked up on Rhea who was fast asleep .

Walking over to Ares room I heard her talking to him.

" I love you Auro you are the best thing that happened to us you know " he said happily.

" I love you Auro " he added .

" I love you too Ares " she said and my eyes stung with tears .

She turned around after tucking him go bed and when her eyes met mine ,she looked away.

She sighed softly as she tried to walk passed me but I held her hands.

" We need to talk " I said and she frowned .

" Talk about what ? She asked rudely .

" I am sorry about this morning ,I didn't mean to sound like that ,I had a lot on my mind " I trailed .

" That is not an escuse to hurt me Lorenzo ! I love you yes I really do ..but I don't know how to feel if you keep treating me this way " she said her voice breaking at the edge .

" I love you too baby ,look at me , I'm gonna make this work between us ,I don't care what is written in our destinies ,I will stand by you " I said and she cried as she hugged me.

" I really love you and the kids Lorenzo trust me ,I am not trying to replace Layla " she said and I gave a nod .

" I know you are Aurora and that is what makes you special" I said and kissed her forehead .
