Chapter 40 Alcohol talking...
Chapter 40

Victoria's POV

I watched from a dim corner, my heart pounding as Julian leaned in and kissed Sophie. A surge of fury bubbled up inside me, and for a fleeting moment, I considered charging out of my hiding place to tear them apart. But Jaxon placed a firm hand on my shoulder, grounding me in my frustration.

As Julian waved goodbye and walked away, leaving Sophie standing there like a lost puppy, I stepped out of my hiding spot and clapped my hands together. Sophie turned to me, her expression shifting as she wiped away the tears on her cheeks.

"Stop with those fake tears, Sophie," I said, my voice dripping with disdain. "I know you really wanted him to go away so you could be free to indulge in your rubbish."

Her response was quick, laced with venom. "Do you think everyone is like you, fucking every dick you see?"

I raised my hand, instinctively wanting to slap her, but I paused mid-motion. I couldn't risk being caught on camera—too many eyes were watching. Instead, I clenched my jaw, channeling my anger into a fist.

She wouldn't get away with this!

"Why did you stop?" she taunted, an arrogant smirk playing on her lips. "You should go ahead and slap me and see the wrath of my husband, you slut."

Her words were like daggers, but I refused to let her see how deeply they cut. As she turned to walk away, I dropped my hand, a fierce determination igniting within me. I would make sure she regretted crossing me, and this was only the beginning. There were many ways to make someone suffer without leaving a mark, and I was just getting started.

"Tell Alex to meet me at home," I instructed Jaxon as we left the airport.

When I arrived home, Alex was already waiting for me, lounging comfortably on the sofa. I leaned closer, positioning my lap on his thigh.

"Julian is out of the picture for now. So you have to keep pretending to try and win Sophie over. Make sure you touch, hug, and kiss her randomly. The cameras will always be in standby to capture each moment," I said, my voice low and conspiratorial.

"And what will you be doing with the pictures?" he asked, his fingers brushing against my lap, sending shivers down my spine.

"I will be sending them to Julian anonymously," I replied, a smile creeping across my face at the thought. "Then, on the day Julian is meant to return, we will move to the real plan."

"So, those are just the side plans?" he asked, arching an eyebrow.

"Yes, it's just to make it seem like Sophie is cheating on Julian with you," I explained, my heart racing with anticipation.

"Yeah, that's a perfect plan," he said, leaning in to kiss me.

The club was buzzing with energy as I arrived, the atmosphere electric and intoxicating. Colorful lights pulsed in time with the music. The bass thumped in my chest, vibrating through the floor and mingling with the laughter and shouts of patrons who had come to escape reality for a while.

As I navigated through the throngs of people, the air was thick with the scent of sweat, perfume, and a hint of alcohol. Everywhere I looked, couples danced closely, lost in their own worlds, while groups of friends raised their glasses in celebration. The bar was a hive of activity, bartenders skillfully mixing drinks and tossing bottles like they were part of a choreographed routine.

In the center of the room, a stripper commanded attention, her body glistening under the bright lights as she lounged on a pole with effortless grace. She spun and twirled, her movements both seductive and athletic, captivating the audience as they cheered and whistled in approval. The music shifted to a faster beat, and the crowd surged with excitement, bodies swaying in rhythm, creating a sea of movement that thrilled me.

I felt the pulse of the club wrap around me, a rhythmic heartbeat that matched my own. It had been too long since I last came to a club, and I was eager to celebrate my victory in advance.

I moved toward the bar, weaving through the crowd, my heels clicking on the polished floor. I leaned against the bar and ordered the strongest drink they had, determined to get wasted tonight.

The bartender extended my glass, which I lifted to my lips and poured the entire drink down my throat in one swift motion, the alcohol burning pleasantly as it slid down. Almost immediately, I ordered another, repeating the process with reckless abandon.

Just as I was about to gulp down yet another glass, I heard a male voice behind me. "Beauty, you shouldn't drink alcohol in a rush like that. You'll just get drunk."

I turned and was met with the sight of a strikingly handsome man. He was muscular, with an air of confidence that drew me in. His green eyes sparkled under the flashing lights, reflecting the vibrant colors of the room.

"That was my plan—to enjoy myself and get drunk," I replied, smirking as I raised my glass for another gulp.

"Well, it's good to enjoy yourself," he said, his voice smooth and inviting."Are you here with someone?"

"No, not tonight. I'm just here to have fun." I said, a mischievous smile plastered on my face.

"Do you care for a dance?" He said, extending his hand toward me, a charming smile lighting up his face.

I hesitated for just a moment, the allure of his charisma making it hard to resist. I gulped down another glass, and with a playful glint in my eyes, I took his hand and allowed him to lead me to the dance floor. The music pulsed louder here, a deep bass that reverberated in my chest, urging us to move.

As we stepped onto the dance floor, the atmosphere was electric. He pulled me close, his hands resting on my hips, and I could feel the heat radiating from him. I matched his movements, letting the music guide us, abandoning myself to the moment. I was already feeling tipsy.

"What's your name?" he asked, leaning in closer so I could hear him over the music.

"Victoria," I replied, flashing him a flirtatious smile. "And you?"

"Jake," he said, his eyes locking onto mine. "Nice to meet you, Victoria."

He called the bartender to bring us the same mixture of alcohol, and I gulped it down without thinking twice, dropping the empty glass on the floor as it shattered. Then, I collected the one from his hand and also gulped it down.

"It seems you are drunk, beauty," he said, as he collected the empty glass from me and gave it to the bartender who left immediately.

"No, I am not," I said, staggering.

He carried me in bridal style to the end of the room and dropped me carefully on a sofa. He made to stand up, but I pulled him closer by his shirt and landed a kiss on his lips. The alcohol was having its effect on me, making me flirt with him shamelessly. He kissed back as if he had been starved of it.

As we kissed, the world around us melted away, leaving only the two of us, lost in the intensity of the moment. The music, the lights, the people - everything faded into the background as our lips moved in perfect sync. I could feel the alcohol coursing through my veins, but it only added to the thrill of the moment.

Jake's hands roamed my body, sending shivers down my spine as he explored every curve and contour. I wrapped my arms around his neck, deepening the kiss, and he responded by pulling me closer, his body pressed against mine.

Suddenly, he broke away, his chest heaving with excitement. "Beauty, I think we should get out of here," he whispered, his voice husky with desire.

I nodded, still reeling from the kiss. He helped me up from the sofa, and we stumbled out of the club, into the cool night air. The city lights blurred around us as we hailed a taxi, our bodies still pressed together.

As we sped through the city, Jake's hands continued to roam, his touch sending waves of pleasure through my body.

We finally arrived at a luxurious high-rise hotel, and Jake swept me up in his arms, carrying me across the stairs. The door slammed shut behind us, as we got to the room he booked and he dropped me on the bed while pulling off my dress, leaving me in my lingerie.

He pulled off his trousers and shirt, and I also pulled off my lingerie, leaving me stark naked.

His eyes roamed over my body, taking in every inch of my exposed skin. He leaned down, his lips finding mine in a passionate kiss, our bodies pressing together.
