Chapter204
She did some quick first aid back then, but later 120 took her away, and what happened after that was unknown.
She was a lot calmer now than when she called Patrick.
When the policewoman Gianna walked by, she happened to see Maxwell.
Earlier she was still organizing files over at Eastside Police Station, planning to summon Maxwell for questioning the next day, but then she got a call saying there was a case in the suburbs. They pulled up nearby surveillance and saw the driver.
Although the driver still tried to disguise himself, his build was kind of like the guy from that Stephanie case before.
Because I saw someone coming from the Eastside Police Station. I just glanced at them back then so I kind of remembered. So I sent the clip to Gianna and told her to come over.
She just went to take a look. She couldn’t be 100% sure, but it looked. a lot like it.
As soon as I came out, I saw Maxwell. Why was he here?
What a coincidence?
So, she immediately called out to Maxwell.
“Maxwell!” Gianna walked over quickly.
Maxwell thought it was strange, he didn’t seem to know this

policewoman.
“Officer, what’s up?” Maxwell replied.
Patrick also looked over strangely.
“Maxwell, Stephanie’s husband, that’s you, right?” Gianna showed her ID and asked.
Maxwell nodded.
“About your wife Stephanie’s car accident…”
When Gianna finished the paperwork and sat Maxwell down on the chair. he finally understood what was going on.
Edgar came along, and he kept saying stuff like waiting for the lawyer just now.
But when Maxwell heard about Stephanie’s car accident, he went in
too.
Car accident…
Maxwell suddenly had a feeling.
It seemed like he was about to find out some truths.
The police asked a lot of questions.
Where was he that night?
He said it was in the Humphrey Building.
Who were you with?
He said with Roxanne.

Specific time and place.
Wait, wait, wait.
He answered them all one by one.
But his head was full of–so that day, she really did have a car accident.
“We noticed that you and Stephanie were in the divorce cooling–off period…”
This was a reasonable doubt about his motive for hiring a killer.
“We’re going to get the divorce certificate tomorrow,” Maxwell said.
The police looked at each other and nodded.
Actually, after a lot of investigation, their suspicion of Maxwell also went down.
Instead, I put more attention on the other person.
“That day your wife called you so many times on your phone, why didn’t you pick up?” Gianna kept asking.
“I…” Maxwell didn’t know what to say.
At that time, he got a call from Stephanie, but he thought she was going to pick a fight with him, so he hung up.
Later she called again, but he put her on Do Not Disturb and ignored.
her.
The two cops looked at each other again.
Let him answer.
Maxwell answered a lot, and the police asked a lot too.

happen right in front of me,” McKayla said quietly.
“You already did a great job,” Patrick said softly. “You called 110 and 120 right away, made sure it was safe, and even did some first aid. I called my coworker, that guy was still being rescued.”
“How did it go?” McKayla asked quickly.
“Hard…” Patrick sounded a bit heavy.
