Chapter 64

“What are you planning to do?” Melda asked as she knew that whatever would happen in that place won’t be as simple as she stated.

“Nothing much. Since they are going around degrading me, I will have to give them a taste of their medicine. I am going to take what belongs to me,” Rhiannon said with her eyes cold as she hated what was happening.

“What about the meeting we had scheduled?” Melda asked in worry making Rhiannon glance at them.

“How can I let some things go because of worthless people? I have work and I want a lot of money. If I fail to go and go to the Clarks right now, I will lose big, and my time will be wasted. Thus I think it’s better first go for the meetings then go and deal with them,” Rhiannon said seriously, making Melda nod her head.

“But, I can send you there instead or have a virtual meeting,” Rhiannon said as she was already in a bad mood.

After saying that, she continued eating without paying attention to anyone else. After she was done, she walked out of the house with Melda behind her.

“Where are you guys going?” Octavius asked as he was the one who was left as Joel and his daughters had gone to the company.

“None of your business,” Rhiannon replied coldly without glancing at him while Melda gave him an apologetic look as she couldn’t tell him if her master didn’t want her to.

Octavius looked helpless as he watched them go. He was supposed to accompany them but after seeing her attitude from yesterday, he knew that his wife would never involve him in any business. He wondered what to do as he didn’t want to make her angry and at the same time make his maternal family angry as he might be told that he was becoming too greedy and taking everything.

He called his father and explained the situation.

“Give her some space for now and let her do her own things. If she will be able to attain the second rank then we will talk to your uncles and aunts and see what we can do,” Antonio said on the other side.

“But dd, she is very angry at me! Do you know that she didn’t even sleep in the same room as me? I am really helpless,” Octavius complained making Antonio chuckle.

“Well, you should get used to it. If your mother gets angry, I can only go to sleep in the study,” Antonio said then hung up the call as she didn’t want to listen to his son complaining to him.

He felt that the latter needed to experience everything by himself so that he could know what to do next.

Octavius looked at his phone and felt like he could throw it. He had never dated before and never got close to women apart from his sister and cousins thus he didn’t know whether he should treat Rhiannon the same way he treated them when they were angry.

Melda had already talked to the CEOs of the designing company and they all felt that they should meet since they had never seen their master’s daughter whom they wanted to dote on the same way their master doted on them.

Because of this, Rhiannon didn’t have any other choice but to go to the restaurant earlier.

Although Octavius had given her the restaurant, she didn’t want to go as the manager was one of the Octavius men thus although it was hers, she didn’t feel so secure going there when she and Octavius weren’t on the talking terms.

She chose one of the restaurants which was neither cheap of expensive where she liked to go in the past.

When they arrived them, they were led to their room and found that the others were already there.

When the men and women saw her they were stunned before tears started flowing them as Rhiannon looked like their master. Thus seeing her, they felt that they were looking at their master.

“Hello,” Rhiannon greeted them with a smile as she sat down.

“Hello young miss,” the replied unisonly stunning Rhiannon who looked at Melda with curiosity.

“They are just like me. Pledged their loyalty to your mother’s legacy and her future generation, you are your mother’s daughter so that makes you their young miss,” Melda told her although she had already told her that previously.

Of course, Rhiannon remembered her words but she never took them seriously.

She nodded at them shyly while they smiled at her actions finding her cute.

“My name is Rhiannon Rodrigues,” she introduced herself.

“Rodriguez? Didn’t Master marry a guy named Clark?” one of them asked.

“Yes, I am married. My husband’s surname is Rodriguez. But I can say that my name is Rhiannon Sanders since I plan to go by that name after everything that happens,” Rhiannon explained and they nodded their head.

“That’s good. It isn’t right for you to use your husband’s surname. You are not their child or anything. You should use your mother’s,” one of the women said making Rhiannon nod her head at her while she smiled.

“Oh, I am Ivy Stone,” the woman added.

“My name is Marina Carter,” another said as she smiled at Rhiannon.

“My name is Diego Russo,” the man said causing Rhiannon to raise her eyebrows at him.

“Italian?” she asked making the man nod his head.

Although she was curious about how the Italian met with her mother, she didn’t ask a word as she felt that they still had a lot of time to get to know each other.

“Nice to meet you all,” she said.

“Well, I have gone through the companies’ documents and I am impressed. The reason I called you here is because I want you guys to rise to the top. If possible, let the four companies be the top four before they are joined together. That way, we will be unshakeable. It's not that I am not planning to help the other companies, I do, but we need to start with you. If possible, I want the Ruvens to move to the first position in two months,” Rhiannon said causing them to take a deep breath.

Rhiannon saw their actions but pretended not to see them.

“Diego, the company you are managing is Dolce Perfumery and it's ranked fifth, right?” Rhiannon asked and Diego nodded his head as he stared at her seriously.

“If I am not wrong, dolce comes from the Latin word dulcis which means sweetness. You want to make perfumery that smells like sweet, candy, right?” Rhiannon asked and everyone was shocked as they never expected her to understand the meaning too well.

“Yes, young miss,” Diego replied his eyes shone respect as he never expected her to not ask her the meaning of the word.

“If possible, I want your company to move from fifth to third,” she said before turning to Marina.

“Your Bellary Perfumes company ranks eighth. I want you to occupy Dolce Perfumery while Ivy, your company, Amar Perfumery, ranks tenth, if possible, it has to rank seventh,” Rhiannon said before glancing at each one of them.

“I want the companies to have an interval of one and make spaces for the other companies that are top 20 but not in the top 10. After that, we will move slowly and occupy all the ranks and also get into the top twenty internationally. I am expecting that the four companies will enter that rank after two months,” she added.

“I spoke to Ruby yesterday and got to know that there is an international perfumery in the next two months. But the competitions are starting from regionals to nations. Lucky for us, the four companies are in four different cities thus, I need you to pass the city's competition ranking first, when you go to the national, I want you all to rank top five. I know that only the top five finalists will enter the international competition,” Rhiannon said making them look at each other.

“Young miss. We understand but currently in our organization or legacy, only Ruby and Raven have made it to international competitions,” Ivy said making Rhiannon glance at her.

“You all have children, right?” she asked and they nodded their heads as they wondered why she was asking that question.

“They are the ones you plan to let inherit your position if the companies aren’t joined?” she asked once more.

“Yes, there is someone whom we have been grooming. Although they all have perfumery in their hearts, there is that one who has the potential,” Marina said making Rhiannon shake their heads as she disapproved of her words.

“That’s not right. If my mother only chose one of the best, what would have happened?” she asked and they all fell silent.

“You should treat them equally. Because of what you have said, I want every child to participate in the regional competitions. I don’t care whether they are siblings or in the same company. Also, tell them that if one is defeated, they shouldn’t hate and blame the other. What I am saying is, if the child you have been grooming is defeated by the other who has never gotten your special treatment, they shouldn’t complain and make things hard for the latter. If they do, they will be banned from the legacy,” Rhiannon said coldly.

“I want them to be equal. They all should participate, when they move the the nationals, I will specifically guide them together with Ruby and Raven as you guys should be busy taking care of the company. As I said, we need to get to the top and that’s a must,” Rhiannon added without giving them a chance to speak.

“For now, I have some recipes here, two for each company. Carry them with you and try making the perfumes, if it's alright, launch them within two weeks to give the company exposure before the competition. But for the market's sake, I advise you to launch a week after the other. If Amar launches next week, then Bellary can launch the week after. After that week, the Dolce can then lastly the Ruvens. You can organize yourselves how you want the products to be launched."

Rhiannon took out some documents from her bag and handed them according to the company’s name on top.

“That’s all for today. You can go and start working as we will be so busy from today,” Rhiannon said making them nod.

They had only glanced at the recipes and they were already restless. They wanted to go back to the company immediately to try them.

“If possible, each recipe should be handed to each of your children as they are the future whom I will be working with after you guys retire. If one of you has more than two kids, the children who don’t get shouldn’t worry as next time it would be them,” Rhiannon said.

They nodded their head and started standing before walking out of the room hurriedly.

“Are you now going to the Clark’s mansion?” Melda asked after the two of them were left behind.

Rhiannon stared out of the window looking lost. Melda didn’t say anything to interrupt her and waited patiently for her answer.

“Where is the rush? I have made an appointment with someone who wants to buy Clark’s company shares from me! I think it's best if I sell it to distance myself from that company.”
