Chapter 70 Sour and Sore Waist...
When George returned home, Ellie was leaning on the sofa napping, with the TV on.
She didn't even notice him entering the house until he walked to the coffee table with the things he bought, and Ellie seemed to suddenly realize something.
Her body twitched slightly, and her eyes opened wide.
"You're back?" she rubbed her eyes and sat up.
After dealing with washing up and applying medicine earlier, although her waist was still sore and her legs were trembling, that painful feeling of moving had disappeared.
It was just the friction against the fabric on her little opening, that fiery sensation still remained...
"Why didn't you go back to the room if you're tired?" George frowned and asked.
"It's not that I'm tired. I woke up when you called me. It's just that the TV was so boring, and I kept watching..." Ellie said, looking at the things in his hands and seeing a small bag of rice cakes, her favorite.
Originally, she didn't feel hungry at all, but now that she saw it, she suddenly felt like she needed it!
George naturally knew what she was talking about and handed her the rice cakes. "Just have a snack first. I'll cook."
"Okay." Ellie smiled and reached out to take it.
She saw George walking towards the kitchen carrying the groceries and tilted her head to look at him.
"What time did you go out?"
"Around eight." George replied as he turned into the kitchen.
Ellie took a bite of the rice cake. It was soft and chewy, with a faint sweet fragrance spreading in her mouth.
She sighed in satisfaction.
She chewed a few bites and swallowed, then took another bite.
Putting on her slippers, she walked to the kitchen door and said, "This is from the kindergarten entrance, right?"
George smiled and grabbed an apron from the side. "Yes, I know you like their food."
Ellie chuckled too, her eyes curved like crescent moons. "Did you also help me take a day off?"
"Don't worry, I took it off in the morning."
"Hehe..." she raised her hand, took another bite of the rice cake in her hand, and watched him put the groceries he bought out of the bag.
There were green peppers, beef, cauliflower, bitter lettuce, fresh prawns, and a few lemons... She already knew what dish he was going to make, all of them were her favorites...
George organized the groceries on the kitchen counter, and seeing her still standing at the kitchen door munching on the rice cake, he glanced at her.
"Why are you standing there?"
"I'm watching you cook." Ellie replied naturally.
"Aren't you tired?"
"Why are you tired? It's not like I did anything. I..."
George turned to face her, and his gaze met hers. "I mean, aren't you tired from standing? Are your legs not sore? Does your waist not hurt?"
Ellie blinked her eyes and finally realized what he said, quickly replying, "They are sore and my waist does hurt..."
"Then go watch TV. I'll finish up quickly."
She pouted and was about to turn around when George suddenly called her back.
"Oh, wait."
"What?"
"Did you apply the ointment?"
Ellie nodded, her face slightly flushed.
George raised his eyebrow as he looked at her and nodded as well. "I knew it."
...Ugh! What does he mean, he knew it! His tone and expression...it's making her feel so embarrassed...
George found Ellie's guilty look incredibly adorable and couldn't help but add, "Don't worry, even if it swells up, what can I do?"
Ellie's face grew even hotter. She pretended not to hear and turned to walk into the living room, holding her steamed rice cake.
This person is really something, making it sound like she's suspecting his intentions, when in fact he's the one who caused her to walk so fast that her feet hurt...
George watched her enter the living room, smiled and shook his head lightly. He took out a basin, poured in the shrimp, and let it soak in water.
Then he scooped rice and started cooking.
His movements were quick and in less than an hour, the meal was served.
Green pepper beef, stir-fried cauliflower, bitter chrysanthemum egg drop soup, steamed mantis shrimp, and a plate of dipping sauce with a hint of lemon.
Although Ellie had already eaten a rice cake, she couldn't help but salivate when she smelled the aroma of the green pepper beef.
As soon as the food was served, she immediately started devouring it.
