Chapter 110

His heart beat raced actively while he shivered in fear.

Looking at his palms he wallowed in distress. Uncontrollable tears found it's way to roll down his cheeks. His hands supported his mouth to avoid sounds.

His probing eyes kept looking for signs of incoming approach. He was all alone in the forest, but was expecting Booby to catch up with him as he couldn't run fast enough.

He brought out a blade from his pocket and held it firmly. Being covered in sweats and blood, his body was pretty drenched.

His heavy breath suddenly turned into a loud pant as though gasping for air. He was seated but restless. What would be his fate at the moment? The striking thought was all over.

It was as though he battled with his numerous thoughts that grew his fear.

She watched anxiously as the doctors and nurses worked to stabilize her father's condition.

There were splashes of blood stain on his white shirt. He was totally covered in it. He repeatedly wiped his tears and nodded sideways to shove his ravaging thoughts away.

Booby had caught him earlier, but he escaped.

However, the wolf isn't willing to let him go.

It was really a bad day for him, if only it hadn't ended like this. If only he had left sooner, perhaps it would have been a different story.

He was only trying to help the packs, but clearly they have been deceived just as he had thought.

Just feeling his head with guilty thoughts and reasons why he should end his life himself.

His head had blood dripping from them to his spectacles and to the ground. It was as though he was bathe in it.

His hand staggered as the blade seemed to be giving him fright. He let go of it and held his mouth once again.

The old man couldn't seem to forgive himself.

He sniffed his nose and listened for echoes he thought he heard. He was definitely in the look out for approaching parties, for his hide out doesn't seem like the perfect spot. However, he was determined to maintain the hiding spot.

Greg confirmed it that he heard sounds. He shut his eyes tight and whispered that he was definitely screwed up, no double thoughts about it. Ending his life was the best option he had, but the thoughts could not be fulfilled as he was afraid to die.

He wondered how it was easy for people to end their lives in a movie show? It was definitely difficult for him.

His stomach grumbled, alerting it needed food. He had been sitting there for almost an hour now. Nothing seemed to be in his head than flashes of his life.

He held his stomach tight and nodded a no to the thoughts of food. It was definitely the wrong time for that.

Of all the time to be hungry, why this moment?

He questioned himself angrily.

The old man rolled up his sleeves as he was tired of them.

The bruises that were hiding behind them, became visible. They were numerous, and also extended to his body. He did not seem to be bothered by the bruises on his smooth skin.

The scars brought back memories of him being a wolf hunter.

He had always catch every of his target.

However, he moaned that he couldn't even kill the last one.

Furthermore, he tore out part of his cloth and tied it around his injured leg.

Looking at the laying blade on the floor, he felt as though he had a mission to complete.

He began wailing calmly again. The blade had brought back a memory, one that was sad. It kept conjuring it's way to him, making him feel guilty.

"I am sorry, I am sorry!" he apologized to no one in particular and folded his hands to demonstrate his plea.

It should have been him. It definitely should have been him. Why did she show up?

His stumbling hands adjusted his spectacles that gave a blurry view. He sniffed in his nostrils that brought out mucus.

"Argh!" he just couldn't take it anymore. He let out a yell and began to bang his head on the ground.

His wife had died in a battle where he was fighting with a werewolf. His wife happened to come out of the house as she heard strange noise, but werewolf took advantage of it and hurt her.

He must stay strong for his daughter. He suddenly muttered.

He had footsteps approaching suddenly. It was as though it was compelled to come there by his voice.

He got up on his feet and began to pant vigorously, holding the knife firmly once more and ready for action.

That was the biggest moment of his life. The moment that would determine whether he lives or die.

He can't give up so easily, not when he knows he has a daughter who needs him.

Greg is willing to fight with all the strength he has in him.

He fumed at them as they approached him.

His eyes widened, and his mouth hung open in silence.

No words formed from his lips as a result of shock.

He was happy to see them, but too weak to show his excitement.

Once again his knife fell down.

She, as well as two other friends reached out to help him stand.

Greg's eyes widened in shock as he saw a figure burst from the woods.

It was his daughter, Emily. He had always known she was strong and capable, but he had never expected her to come rescue him. Greg's eyes welled up with tears as he took in the sight of his brave and determined daughter.

As Emily reached his side, Greg's surprise gave way to a deep sense of gratitude. He reached out a trembling hand and touched his daughter's face, his eyes locking onto hers.

"Emily," he whispered, his voice shaking with emotion. "I'm so proud of you."

Emily's face softened, and she smiled, her eyes shining with tears. "I'm here to get you out, Dad," she said, her voice firm and resolute.

Greg's heart swelled with love and pride as he gazed at his brave and selfless daughter. He knew that he was in good hands, and that Emily would stop at nothing to save him.

He struggled to speak more, but he eventually fainted before he could.

One of the hulk hunter's among them, lifted thhe old man on his shoulder and began to walk with the others.

They were taking him to safety, where they could get him treated.

As they walked in the sun to get Greg into the car, Emily quickly pulled out a pair of sunglasses and gently placed them on her father's face, shielding his eyes from the harsh light.

They drove Greg to a hospital as his injuries appeared to be severe.

Emily and her team escorted Greg into one of the wards to get him treated.

As they arrived at the hospital, the medical team quickly whisked Greg away to the emergency room. Emily followed close behind, her heart racing with worry

Greg's face contorted in pain, his body weak and battered from the prolonged captivity.

The medical team quickly sprang into action, assessing Greg's condition and administering emergency treatment. Emily rode alongside her father, holding his hand and talking softly to reassure him.

The medical team worked tirelessly to repair the damage, and eventually, Greg was admitted to the intensive care unit for close monitoring. Emily sat vigilantly by his bedside, her eyes fixed on her father's fragile form, her heart filled with a mix of relief and worry.

As the machines beeped and whirred a

round her, Emily held her father's hand, whispering softly to him, "You're safe now, Dad. I've got you."
