Chapter 249 Epilogue
Many years passed, and the Blue Moon Pack has been richer than ever. So many pups were born since my little family took the lead back. All the pack members, and the family, lived happily there.
Aiden needed only two years to grow into an adult. He was like glued to me, as he was eager to know everything about leading a pack, and soon, he often told me just to stay at home to rest with his mother, as he was happy to cover me.
Our house at the lake was built, and we loved to spend time there.
Even if Aiden was an adult and was living alone, he often came to see us. He loved the food they made in the pack house, but he said he was missing the food his mother made.
Lilith and Alpha William came to see us often. However, a few years later, Lilith visited the pack regularly alone. She had grown up to be a beautiful she-wolf, and we both were happy, when finally Aiden announced that he had chosen Lilith as his mate.
A huge celebration followed the mating ceremony, as it wasn't just about their mating, it was also about the two packs making a friendship for eternity.
I had a few minutes I could spend with William alone. He confessed how thrilled he was when he heard that Aiden and Lilith fell in love with each other. He always worried what would happen with his only daughter after he dies, as Lilith, as a half-blood, was unprotected without him.
I reassured him, with Aiden, she will live a happy and safe life.
I didn't want to tell him I had a conversation about this with Aiden. Aiden loved Lilith, but they had the same problem as me and his mother. Olivia wanted to change me when the time comes, and Aiden asked his mother to do the same with Lilith when her time comes.
Walter came to see us often, even if he was very busy in the hospital. Since the trial, many werewolves got to know about the Green Community's existence, so they had many more patients to treat. It took him years, but finally, he got to know a young, female vampire, who he loved to take care of, and soon they accepted each other as mates.
Harry died in prison, not long after the trial. He couldn't take the confinement, so he had some mental issues. Finally, he choked himself to death using his own shirt.
Lucy would rather live. She behaved well, so after ten years she appealed, but it didn't change the judges' decision. She got old in prison, and died naturally.
Liam and Graham were freed after twenty years of imprisonment. Even if they changed a lot, the other wolves looked down on them, so they asked me to take them back. I refused them, of course, so I heard they were accepted in another pack in the North.
Eve's family got to see me once, and they begged me to help their daughter to get out of prison, but I refused to help her. She wanted to take my pup from me, and she wanted to give him to those who would have tortured him to death. That wasn't something that I could forgive.
After she got out of prison, she stayed in the Red Moon Pack. As she was banished from university, and with her criminal record, she couldn't be a nurse anymore, she needed to find another solution. She ended up in the pack house kitchen to my knowledge.
I lived a long and happy life with Olivia. However, getting old was something that I couldn't stop. She loved me, even when my hair was white, and I could hardly walk.
One day, the time came when I wasn't able to get up anymore. My body was too tired. I waited for the end quietly till I got to the state where I wasn't able to feel Nyco any longer.
The news brought Walter into the pack as well, and he just waited for Olivia to give him a shout.
Olivia held my hand till I thanked my old friend for being a part of my life, and I said farewell to him for good. I cried, as it was one of the hardest parts of my life. Especially when I heard Olivia whispering her farewell to Nyco.
When I gripped Olivia's hand, she stood up and called Walter in.
"The quickest way to spread the venom in his veins is if you bite him at his neck." He explained it to Olivia, who came closer to me. I saw her fangs appearing, and she held my hand while she leaned closer.
"It will hurt, but only for a few minutes."
I sighed to let her know I heard her, then I felt her sharp fangs enter into my soft flesh. It wasn't the wound that hurt me a lot, it was the venom, then spread quickly in my veins. The pain was similar to that the wolfsbane could cause, but this was somehow different. It tortured me horribly. I screamed when I felt Walter's strong hands holding me down as my old body started to wave
"Okay, I think it is enough." I could hardly hear Walter, and then everything went dark.
When I opened my eyes again, I frowned first. My body was easy. I couldn't describe the feeling, but I felt like I was twenty again. I sat up without any pain, and I faced my beautiful family, smiling at me.
"Welcome to your new life, handsome." Olivia rushed to me, and she kissed me after she sat on my lap. I smiled at her and I hugged her tightly. I didn't feel her cold anymore, it was only Aiden, who laughed after hugging me.
"Dad, now you are exactly the same as mum."
I laughed as well. I only stopped laughing when Walter approached me with a mirror.
I looked at it, and what I saw made me smile. My look changed. I wasn't an old, grey-haired guy anymore. I looked exactly like I was in my twenties.
"Welcome back, Asher." He said.
"Thank you, Walter." I answered.
It took me time to get familiar with my new abilities. I was quicker, and I moved easier. I had to admit that a vampire's body was much more sophisticated than a werewolf's body.
After I got used to my new abilities, we decided to travel around the world, and after we saw everything we just stayed in the Blue Moon Pack, in our house peacefully, close to our family for eternity.
