Chapter 60!
Elise POV:
They take me outside. The sky is already dark. There is a clearing behind the house. A group of people dressed in what looks like dark green robes stand in a circle.
Braylyn walks me to the middle. In the middle lays a bed of flowers. She pushes me down onto them.
“Lay on your back,” she instructs. “It’s better if you do everything we say, when we say it. Or you’ll regret it.”
I lay on my back. I stare up at the sky, no clouds in sight. Stars shine down on us. Almost like they are waiting for someone to join them up there.
“This shouldn’t take to long, little faerie,” I hear Braylyn call out. “And don’t worry about pain.”
“Don’t tell her that,” someone scolds Braylyn.
“No. We should tell her just how painful this is all going to be,” says Kage. He stands above me. The grimace on his face makes me shut my eyes tight.
There is always this look in his eyes that frightens me. His foot suddenly presses down on my stomach. I huffed out trying to force in some air.
“Kage, you’re going to make her pass out. We need her awake for what we’re going to do,” someone yells out at him.
His foot lifts off. I can breath easier again. I hear his foot steps walking away. Everything becomes quiet expect for the sounds of the world. It would have been soothing if I wasn’t in the position I had been in.
They begin a quiet chant. I feel like my body is being drained. I feel weak. My breathing becomes labored. Then one by one each person come up and places a single cut around my body with a dagger.
“This now binds you and your powers to us. We can’t quite drain you of your magyck yet, not til a full moon,” Kage bellows out. “But with this curse, we’re tethered to you and can use your magyck. It’ll be draining for you but who the fuck cares about that?”
“She is being to quiet for my liking,” a male voice calls out.
“Oh, I can make her scream,” Braylyn says with a dark menacing chuckle. “Dammit, Tragidegh. You got her blood on my dress.”
“Sorry,” a female voice squeaks out.
My vision is hazy from all the cuts on my body. My blood draining more and more. Braylyn comes into view. I see two of her. She smirks down at me. That is when I see her lift something into view. It’s another dagger but this one glowing a bright red.
“How about some heat, little faerie,” she asks me. I shake my head but am unable to move away.
She places the dagger to the outside of my thigh. I scream as it burns my skin. Tears roll out of my eyes. She pulls it away only to do it again but on the other side.
I can’t take the pain anymore. It’s to much. Darkness begins to set in.
…..
I wake up to someone touching my leg. They caress my skin but to me it feels so wrong.
“If only you weren’t who you are, I would love to take a dip into you,” I hear the rough voice that I have come to recognize as Kage.
I feel gross the more he touches me. His fingers roam all over. He reaches my neck and grabs on tight.
“You don’t need to pretend to be asleep,” he whispers into my ear. “How do you think Ezra would feel if I fucked you? Think it’ll make him look at you different? Maybe he’ll just toss you to the side.”
His laughter echos around the room. I’m to scared to open my eyes. His grip on my throat tightens. I scratch at his arm for him to let go.
“There is one thing you’re forgetting. He can’t toss you aside when you’re already dead,” he lifts my head a bit off the ground just to slam it back down. Ringing fills my ears.
He lets go. I suck in a breath of air. How much more of this torture can I take? Can I keep going? I’m starting to lose hope that Kyros or Ezra will come for me.
I’m going to die here. I just know it.
“You know, I can feel your powers running through my veins. It’s so powerful. I can’t wait to have it all be mine. But shhhh don’t tell the others,” he laughs as he tells me his secret.
I finally try to pry my eyes open. I’m back down in the first room they had me in but there is more light. I turn my head and see Kage standing near one of the walls. It looks like weapons have been added to the wall.
I watch as his fingers trace around several weapons before landing on a dagger with a skull and red rubies.
“I want to stick this into you but you might just bleed to death if I do that. Need you to be alive for the full moon. We have two weeks left. Two weeks left of your life,” he says. He turns to face me. His eyes turning black with mischief.
I’ve run out of time.
