Chapter 179
Malachi POV
I rode at the head of my army, my eyes fixed on the trail ahead. Vill and Adara's tracks led me deeper into the wilderness, the sound of the waterfall growing fainter with each step.
Finally, we emerged into a vast plain, the sun beating down upon us like a hammer. And there, in the center of the field, stood Adara. Her sword was drawn, her eyes blazing with a fierce determination.
I sneered, my confidence in my own power and the might of my army surging to new heights. "Foolish girl," I spat, my voice carrying across the plain. "You think you can stand against me? I will crush you and your pathetic rebellion!"
My soldiers formed a line behind me, their weapons at the ready. Adara didn't flinch, her gaze locked on mine. I could see the power of the Sword of Truth emanating from her, but I was undaunted.
"Charge!" I bellowed, my army surging forward like a tidal wave. Adara stood firm, her sword shining with an otherworldly light. The battle was about to begin, and only one of us would emerge victorious.
“Liar, killer" I heard Ashir screaming.
I snarled as Ashir's voice boomed across the plain, his words cutting deep into my pride. "Liar, killer, and you'll be killed!" he thundered, his accusation hanging in the air like a challenge.
My face twisted in rage, I raised my hand, and my soldiers surged forward, their weapons flashing in the sunlight. "Attack!" I bellowed, my voice drowning out Ashir's taunts.
The ground shook beneath our feet as my army charged, their battle cry echoing across the plain. Adara and Ashir stood firm, their swords at the ready. The clash of steel on steel rang out, the sound of war erupting across the field.
I spurred my horse forward, my own sword raised high. I would show Ashir and Adara the true meaning of power, the fury of Malachi unleashed. The battle had begun, and I would stop at nothing to emerge victorious.
I watched in frustration as my soldiers clashed with Adara's forces. My army was vast, numbering in the millions, but despite our overwhelming numerical advantage, we were struggling to gain the upper hand.
Adara's soldiers, though vastly outnumbered, fought with a ferocity and strength that was unmatched. Each of them was like a titan on the battlefield, taking down dozens of my soldiers with ease. It was as if they had somehow tapped into a deep well of power, their swords slicing through my army like a hot knife through butter.
I growled in anger, my pride wounded by the unexpected resistance. How could this be? My soldiers were the strongest, the best trained, the most feared in all the land. And yet, they were being cut down like wheat before a scythe.
I spurred my horse forward, charging into the fray myself. My sword flashed in the sunlight, striking down Adara's soldiers with precision and skill. But even I, Malachi, the greatest warrior the world had ever known, could not stem the tide of this battle.
Adara's soldiers were like a force of nature, unstoppable and unyielding. And at their heart, Adara herself stood tall, her sword shining like a beacon of hope in a sea of despair.
I looked angrily, my eyes met with Adara.
“Devil!" She yielded and found her way toward me.
I snarled as Adara closed in on me, her sword flashing with a light that seemed almost divine. Our blades clashed, the sound of steel on steel ringing out across the battlefield.
But this was no ordinary fight. Adara and I were both masters of magic, and our combat was a dance of spells and swordplay. Fireballs erupted from my fingertips, only to be deflected by Adara's shield of shimmering energy.
She retaliated with a blast of lightning, which I countered with a wave of darkness that sought to consume her. But Adara was no stranger to the shadows, and she navigated them with ease, striking back with a burst of radiant light that sent me stumbling back.
Our battle raged on, a maelstrom of magic and steel that left both of us gasping for breath. But I refused to yield. I would not be defeated by this upstart rebel, no matter how powerful she may be.
With a snarl, I summoned a vortex of flames that surrounded Adara, trapping her in a prison of fire. But she laughed, her eyes blazing with determination, and summoned a torrent of water that extinguished the flames and sent me stumbling back.
The fight continued, our magic and swords clashing in a spectacular display of power and skill. But I knew that I could not keep this up for much longer. Adara was a formidable foe, and I was beginning to tire.
I growled in frustration as Adara continued to press the attack, her sword and magic weaving a deadly dance around me. Just as I thought I was gaining the upper hand, Ashir joined the fray, his eyes blazing with a fierce determination.
Together, Adara and Ashir faced me, their swords raised in unison. Ashir's passion for revenge was palpable, his anger and hatred for me evident in every strike. I could see the depth of his pain, the scars I had left on his soul.
But I would not be swayed. I had come too far, sacrificed too much, to be defeated by these two. I summoned all my strength, unleashing a torrent of magic and steel that sought to consume them both.
The battle raged on, the three of us clashing in a maelstrom of power and fury. Ashir's sword sliced through my defenses, seeking to strike the final blow. But I would not go quietly into the night. I fought back with every ounce of strength I had, determined to emerge victorious.
Yet, despite my best efforts, I could feel the tide of battle turning against me. Adara and Ashir were too strong, their bond and determination too great. I stumbled back, my vision blurring, my strength failing. And in that moment, I knew I was doomed.
Suddenly , I felt my strength waning, my vision blurring, as Ashir and Adara continued to press the attack. I stumbled back, desperate to defend myself, but it was no use.
And then, in an instant, the sky darkened, and a full moon burst forth, casting an eerie glow over the battlefield. Adara's eyes turned red, her pupils dilating as she gazed at me with an unnatural hunger.
She dropped her sword, her hand reaching out to grasp me, her fingers closing around my wrist like a vice. I felt a searing pain as she plunged her hand into my chest, her fingers closing around my heart.
I screamed, my vision fading to black, as Adara ripped my heart from my body. Ashir joined her, his sword slicing through my neck, severing my head from my shoulders.
I felt my life force ebbing away, my consciousness slipping into the abyss. And in that moment, I remembered Emma's curse, her words echoing in my mind: "You will die at the hands of those you have wronged, and your heart will be torn from your body."
The curse had come to reality, and I knew no more.

As Malachi's lifeless body slumped to the ground, his soldiers immediately dropped their weapons and surrendered to Alpha Ashir. The battlefield, once filled with the clash of steel and the scent of blood, was now silent and still.
Alpha Ashir approached Adara, his eyes shining with gratitude. "Thank you, Adara," he said, his voice filled with emotion. "Thank you for standing by me, despite everything."
And with that, he proposed to her, his heart beating with excitement. Adara, her eyes shining with tears, accepted. The two of them embraced, their love story beginning in the midst of blood and chaos.
But little did they know, Malachi's soul did not rest. He woke up in the depths of hell, the flames burning around him. A voice boomed, welcoming him to the underworld.
"You will return to earth, Malachi," the voice said. "You will complete your mission. The devil must conquer the world."
Malachi's eyes gleamed with excitement. He promised the devil that he would not fail this time.
Meanwhile, Adara and Ashir returned to their pack, their love growing stronger with each passing day. They had a child, a beautiful pup who was the light of their lives. George lived out his days in peace, and Waterfall Pack was recognized among the council. Vill and his people started anew in Bloodclaw's Pack, under Ashir's command.
Adara became Alpha Ashir's wife, their bond unbreakable. She also became the new king of Nightshadows Pack, her power and strength respected by all.
But years later, chaos began to stir once more. The devil's presence was felt, his dark energy spreading across the land.
And so, the story of Adara and Ashir continues, their love and strength tested once again against the forces of darkness. Will they be able to overcome the challenges ahead, or will the devil finally conquer the world?
