Chapter 162

Malachi: POV

I stood outside the prison cell, my eyes fixed on Vill, who was shackled to the wall.  Gorthok stood beside me, his expression grim.

"So, Vill," I began, my voice firm but controlled. "We've come to ask you some questions. Where is the Sword of Truth?"

Vill's eyes flashed with defiance, but I could see the fear lurking behind them. "I'll never tell you," she spat.

Gorthok stepped forward, his eyes gleaming with intensity. "We'll see about that," he growled, his voice low and menacing.

I nodded, and Gorthok began to circle Vill, his movements fluid and predatory. Vill's eyes followed him, her fear growing with each passing moment.

"The Sword of Truth is the key to unlocking the secrets of the ancient ones," I said, my voice dripping with persuasion. "And with it, we can bring peace to our lands. But we need your help, Vill."

Vill's eyes narrowed, her jaw set in determination. "I'll never betray my people," she said, her voice firm.

Gorthok stopped in front of her, his eyes blazing with intensity. "We'll see about that," he repeated, his voice dripping with menace.

And with that, the interrogation began.

Gorthok's fists clenched, and he struck Vill with a fierce blow. She cried out in pain, but her eyes flashed with defiance. "You'll never break me," she spat, blood trickling from her lip.

I watched, my expression unreadable. "Tell us, Vill. Where is the Sword of Truth?"

Vill's gaze locked onto me, her eyes blazing with hatred. "You'll never have it," she hissed. "And I curse you, Malachi. May Adara kill you with her own fingers under the full moon."

Gorthok struck her again, but Vill refused to yield. "You're only making this worse for yourself," I warned, my oice cold.

Vill's laughter was mocking. "You think you're the first to try and break me? I've endured worse than this. And I'll never betray my people."

My  eyes narrowed. "We'll see about that," I  said, my voice dripping with menace. But Vill's resolve remained unshaken, her defiance a beacon of hope in the darkness.

The tutoring continued, with Gorthok using every technique he knew to try and break Vill's silence. But Vill refused to speak, her eyes fixed on Malachi with a fierce determination.

My expression grew increasingly frustrated, his eyes flashing with anger. "You're making a grave mistake, Vill," I warned. "You'll regret not cooperating with me."

I was so angry as Vill didn't flinch, her silence a stubborn refusal to yield. Gorthok's blows landed with precision, but Vill's resolve remained unbroken.

The session ended with Vill's body battered and bruised, but her spirit unshaken. My eyes narrowed, my mind working overtime to come up with a new strategy. But Vill's silence was a wall I couldn't breach, a testament to her unyielding determination.

As the days passed, the tutoring continued, but Vill's silence remained steadfast. My  frustration grew bigger and my anger simmering just below the surface. But Vill's resolve remained unbroken, a beacon of hope in the darkness.

I became more frustrated and it's unbearable, my frustration finally boiled over, and I slammed my  fist on the table. "Enough!" I  bellowed, my  voice echoing off the prison walls. "Gorthok, stop this torture. It's clear she won't break."

Gorthok paused, his chest heaving with exertion. "As you wish, my lord  But I promise you, I will make her talk. Using... other methods."

My eyes narrowed frustratedly and I nodded. "See that you do. I want answers, no matter the cost."

Immediately , i turned and stormed out of the prison, leaving Vill's battered body and Gorthok's sinister grin behind. I marched through the darkening halls, my  mind seething with anger and frustration.

As night fell, I went into my chambers, slamming the door behind myself. I paced back and forth, my  thoughts consumed by Vill's defiance and my   failure to break her. I'll do anything to make her thoughts and she wouldn't die. My thoughts was consumed about the way out. I could feel it, something is coming up soon. I have to wait and so I waited, my eyes fixed on the darkness outside, my mind plotting the next move. The game was far from over.

Georg pov.

I  halted the tutoring session as Malachi stormed out of the prison. I watched him disappear into the darkness, my mind racing with curiosity. What was Malachi's true intention?

I approached the prison gate, my eyes scanning the area. Three prison guards stood watch, their eyes fixed on me. I nodded to them, and they hesitated before departing for a break.

I returned to Vill's cell, my footsteps echoing off the walls. Vill's battered body lay motionless, her eyes closed. I approached her, my voice soft. "Vill, who are you? What secrets do you hold?"

Vill's eyes flickered open, her gaze locking onto mine. For a moment, we just stared at each other, a silent understanding passing between us. And in that moment, I knew that Vill was more than just a prisoner. She was a key to unlocking the secrets of this mysterious world.

"Vill," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

“Vill!" I said to myself wondering, my mimd drifted me to Jameson, I remember him mentioning that she met a lady, Vill who inform her of the book of revelation and the sword of the Truth. Malachi intentions became more open to me, she's getting to Vill to find out about the sword.

"Vill," I repeated, my eyes locked on hers. "Do you know Jameson?"

Vill's eyes widened, shock registering on her face. "How...how do you know that name?" she stammered.

I smiled, my eyes gleaming with intrigue. "Let's just say I have my ways. But tell me, Vill, what do you know of Jameson?"

Vill's gaze narrowed, suspicion etched on her face. "Who are you?" she demanded. "How do you know these things?"

I chuckled, my voice low and mysterious. "My name is Gorthok, but my true name is George. And I'm a spy, Vill. I’m here on a mission to get closer to malachi, gain his trust and take the book of revelation and the sword of the truth “

Vill's eyes went wide, her face pale. "Impossible," she breathed. "No one knew about that.”

"Vill, listen to me," I said, my voice urgent. "I'm George the Alpha of the Waterfall Pack. Adara, is with me. She's the one who sent me here"

Vill's eyes widened in shock. "Adara? But how...how could I believe you! How did she knew about me?”

I leaned in closer. "Adara has her ways, Vill. But that's not important right now. What's important is that I'm here to find a clue about the Sword of Truth and the Book of Revelation."

Vill's gaze narrowed. "What do you know about the Sword and the Book?"

I hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. But something about Vill's determination and bravery made me trust her. "I know that the Sword of Truth is hidden somewhere in these lands, and that it's the key to unlocking the secrets of the ancient ones. And I know that the Book of Revelation holds the knowledge of the past, and the power to shape the future."

Vill's eyes gleamed with understanding. "I see," she whispered. "And you think I know where to find them?"

I nodded. "I do, Vill. And I'll do whatever it takes to get that information from you.”

“Haha" Vill laughed “what do you call yourself" she added.

Hmmm, I took a deep breath and was taken aback as Vill burst out laughing. "You think I'm just going to give up that information easily?" she teased, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

Vill beckoned me closer, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Come on, George. Or should I say, Gorthok? Let's get cozy."

I hesitated for a moment, but my curiosity got the better of me. I leaned in closer, and Vill's eyes flashed with a sudden intensity. She muttered a few words under her breath, and I felt a strange sensation wash over me.

It was a spell, I realized, one that could detect deception. I held my breath, hoping that my true intentions would be revealed.

Vill's eyes narrowed, her gaze piercing. And then, a look of surprise crossed her face. "You're telling the truth," she whispered, her voice filled with wonder.

She gestured to the tutoring chair. "Free me from this contraption. I need my hands to free myself and heal my wounds."

I hastened to oblige, my heart racing with excitement. As I released her from the chair, Vill's eyes locked onto mine, and I felt a jolt of electricity run through my veins.

Just as I was about to hear Vill's secrets, a sudden presence behind me made me turn. Malachi stood in the doorway, his eyes fixed on me with an unnerving intensity. But to my relief, he didn't seem to have overheard our conversation.
