Chapter 161

George's pov

I'm extremely overwhelmed by aquirng Malachi’s heart so easily. My worriedness grew more about not hearing from Adara about the situation at home. I sat in my quarters, quill in hand, writing to Adara.

"Dearest Adara, I have finally gained Malachi's trust. I have taken on the name Gorthok, and I am now his personal guard. It's a position that will allow me to gather vital information and wait for the perfect moment to strike.I've heard whispers of a powerful sword and book, hidden away by Malachi. The Sword of Truth and the Book of Revelation. I'll soon find out more about these treasures and how they can aid our cause. My heart races with excitement, knowing that I'm one step closer to fulfilling our mission. I'll continue to play the role of Gorthok, loyal and fierce, until the time is right. Keep faith, Adara. Our plan is unfolding, and victory is within our grasp.Yours, George (Gorthok)"

I sealed the letter, a sense of pride and accomplishment washing over me. I had taken a risk by infiltrating Malachi's inner circle, but it was paying off. The Sword of Truth and the Book of Revelation were within my reach, and I knew that with them, we would triumph over Malachi and his darkness.

 Adara's POV

I sat in my chambers, my heart racing as I read George's letter. My eyes scanned the page, my mind processing the news. George, my trusted ally, had gained Malachi's trust. He was now his personal guard, Gorthok.

I felt a surge of hope and relief wash over me. This was the breakthrough we needed. I called for Jameson, my voice urgent.

"Jameson, come quickly! I have news from George."

Jameson entered my chambers, his eyes questioning. "What is it, Adara?"

"George has infiltrated Malachi's inner circle," I said, my voice barely containing my excitement. "He's gained his trust and is now his personal guard."

Jameson's eyes widened in surprise. "That's incredible! What does this mean for our plan?"

I smiled, a sense of determination growing within me. "It means we have a chance to gather vital information and strike from within. George will be our eyes and ears in Malachi's camp."

Jameson nodded, his face set in a determined expression. "Then we must act quickly. We'll coordinate with George and prepare for the final battle."

I nodded, my heart filled with a sense of purpose. The end game was near, and we would emerge victorious only if we come up accompany the sword of the truth and the book of revelation. My worriedness grew bigger rememing malachi’s possession and unlimited power everyday.

I move out immediately with Jameson not to keep the information to myself. I stood before the Waterfall Pack soldiers, my voice ringing out across the gathering. "Warriors, we have received news from Hakman. Malachi's army numbers in the millions, and they will stop at nothing to destroy us."

The soldiers exchanged worried glances, but I pressed on. "We cannot falter. We must train harder, fight harder, and emerge victorious. Our land, our families, and our freedom depend on it. Most especially the alpha, alpha Ashir's he's still in possession of his lies and we must free him. We must free him from danger”

I paused, my eyes scanning the crowd. "George, our brother, has infiltrated Malachi's inner circle. He will provide us with crucial information, but we must be prepared to strike when the time comes."

The soldiers nodded, their faces set with determination. I continued, my voice filled with conviction. "We will not back down. We will not surrender. We are the Waterfall Pack, and we will defend our territory to the end and safe the alpha, save the werewolf kingdom!”

The soldiers roared in agreement, their voices echoing off the trees. I smiled, pride swelling in my chest. We would face the coming battle together, as a family, and we would emerge triumphant.

This is just the beginning!.

Ashir POV

I paced in my room, my mind racing with worry. It had been too long since I last heard from Malachi. No updates, no messages, nothing. My initial trust in him was starting to waver, replaced by growing suspicion.

The thoughts about Smith's suspicious came to my mind. I became so lost deeper in my thoughts thinking about who to believe.

Just as I was lost in thought, a knock at the door broke the silence. I hastened to open it, my heart racing with anticipation. And then I saw her - Mitchell, Malachi's most trusted ally.

My eyes widened in shock, my voice caught in my throat. Mitchell's presence only added to my unease. What was she doing here? Did she know something about Malachi's disappearance?

"Ashir," Mitchell said softly, her eyes filled with a mix of concern and caution. "We need to talk."

I stepped aside, allowing her to enter. My mind raced with questions, but I couldn't find my voice. What did Mitchell know? And what did she want from me?

"Mitchell, what brings you here?" I asked, my voice laced with a mix of curiosity and wariness.

Mitchell's eyes locked onto mine, her gaze soft and gentle. "I was worried, Ashir. I couldn't see you outside, and I feared something might have happened to you."

I raised an eyebrow, my mind racing with skepticism. "And you thought it was wise to come here alone?"

Mitchell took a step closer, her voice husky and persuasive. "I had to see you, Ashir. I had to know you're safe."

I felt a flutter in my chest, my resolve weakening. Mitchell's words dripped with sincerity, and her eyes seemed to bore into my soul.

"No, Mitchell," I said firmly, trying to maintain my distance. "I won't be swayed by your charms. Tell me, what's your true intention?"

Mitchell's face fell, her eyes clouding over. "Ashir, I'm only trying to help. I know you're upset about Malachi's disappearance, and I want to assure you that he's still loyal to our cause."

My anger and frustration boiled over, and I lashed out at Mitchell. "How can I trust him? How can I trust anyone?"

Mitchell's expression softened, her voice gentle and reassuring. "Ashir, you must have faith in Malachi. He would never betray you. I know him, and I know his heart. He's fighting for our cause, and he'll return to us when the time is right."

Her words struck a chord within me, and my anger began to dissipate, replaced by a deep sadness. I felt lost and alone, and Mitchell's presence only highlighted my vulnerability.

"Ashir, please listen—" Mitchell began, her voice calm and soothing.

But I was beyond reason. "Leave!" I thundered, my voice echoing off the walls. "Get out of my room! Get out of my sight!"

Mitchell took a step back, her eyes flashing with hurt, but she didn't leave. "Ashir, don't be foolish," she said, her voice firm but gentle. "We need to talk about this."

My anger boiled over, and I slammed my fist on the table. "I said leave!" I roared, my face red with rage.

But Mitchell still didn't budge. She stood her ground, her eyes locked on mine, until I realized that I had no choice but to call for my guard.

"Smith!" I bellowed, my voice echoing through the halls. "Take her out of here! Throw her out of my sight!"

Smith burst into the room, his face expressionless, and grasped Mitchell's arm. "My apologies, Mitchell," he said, his voice firm but polite. "The Alpha has requested that you leave."

Mitchell's eyes flashed with anger, but she didn't struggle as Smith led her away. I watched her go, my chest heaving with rage, until the door closed behind her and I was alone once more.

Smith turned to leave.

"Smith, wait," I said, my voice low and urgent, as he tried to close the door behind Mitchell.

Smith turned to me, his expression questioning. "Yes, Alpha?"

I stepped closer, my eyes narrowing. "What do you know about Malachi's intentions?"

Smith hesitated, his eyes darting around the room before focusing on me. "Alpha, I've reason to believe Malachi's intentions are far more sinister than you can imagine."

My mind raced with skepticism. "What are you talking about?"

Smith's voice dropped to a whisper. "Malachi plans to overthrow you, Alpha. He's been gathering support among the pack, spreading dissent and lies about your leadership. His intentions is more than battling with Mitchell, the prophecy is just an excuse to took over your soldiers and he succeeded"

I laughed, incredulous. "That's absurd. Malachi would never betray me like that."

Smith's expression was grim. "I'm afraid it's true, Alpha. And will find a proof, if you're willing to see it. You'll get to know soon. I won't rest until I came with something"

My heart raced with doubt and uncertainty. Could it be true? Was Malachi really plotting against me? I needed to see this proof, no matter how difficult it was to believe.
