Chapter 183 MIDNIGHT KILLING SPREE
Chapter 180
Leo’s POV
Bang! Bang!!
Four bullets sank into his back. He lowered down gradually to the ground.
I pushed his dead body into the lagoon in disgust, watching it take a free fall down the slope.
I went back inside. My father had taken control of everyone; they had all obeyed and fallen in line. One thing remained, late Alpha Jax's car.
“Father, what are we doing with this car?”
I walked closer to my father in the inner room, where he sat patiently.
I loved him for one thing, he always came prepared, pouncing like a hungry lion on his evening meal.
He had tied some patients who refused to comply to their beds.
Some of them had even been given injections to sleep.
“Let’s drive it to the backyard and keep it safe for a good buyer.”
“No…” I snapped. “That is a bad idea.”
“We are not doing that. In fact, you and mother are leaving this place tonight,” I countered.
My voice erupted through the room.
“No one must meet you here before tomorrow, when eyebrows will be raised.”
I went to the long dress I had worn when coming. I reached into one of the pockets and brought out the gold bar.
My father stood up from where he sat.
“Son! Where did you get this? We are fucking rich…”
He turned to mother, who was still very sad about how I had gunned down King Jax and Brielle.
“I told you I gave birth to a brilliant son. He never misses.”
“So… you are encouraging him… to kill and destroy?” the words burst out of my mother. Her face hardened like rock.
“One more word from you, woman!” my father growled, pointing his forefinger at her like a weapon.
My mother quickly flattened her lips. Silence descended in the room.
Then, a few seconds later, she let out a loud hiss and rolled her eyes. Intense anger brewed in her.
“Mother, I want you and father to pack your things and leave this place. Go and wait for me and Melissa at Crimson Pack, a far away pack from here.”
“Crimson Pack?”
The two of them echoed at the same time. They exchanged glances like I had spilled poison.
“I have to go to Stormfang Pack tonight. There is unfinished business I have with someone, and secondly, I have to bring Melissa along to join us.”
“So what are we doing with Alpha Jax's car?” Father asked.
“I am burning it, not only it,” I looked into their faces, “but every single thing in this building.”
“Why would you do that? What about all the patients, those sick people who needed my help…” my mother’s voice shook. “You have become something else just because of money.”
“Enough! Woman!” Father’s voice cut through the air like a sharp blade. “Enough of this preaching. If you can’t shut up your mouth, I will help you shut it up.”
“Father, go and pack your things. I will be the last person to leave this compound.”
“What are we doing with Brielle and Alpha Jax’s body?” my father asked.
“I will throw them into the lagoon.”
I drifted to my father and dropped the gold bar into my father’s hand.
“It’s time to leave, Father.”
I drifted closer to him.
“Please protect this, and mother, as if your life depends on it.”
“It’s time. Go pick your things and head to Crimson Pack.”
Three hours later.
I had arrived at Stormfang Pack, like a pup whose mother had promised cookies. When he is back from a long distance journey.
Thank goodness no one had woken up. It was almost three AM, and I have not heard the crow of the first cock.
I had finished my business at Alpha Dominion’s Pack, setting my mother’s healing house on fire. I had burned both Alpha Jax and Brielle inside the house.
And before I left the scene, I had taken pictures of the good job I had done, for Queen Rosa to see.
Thankfully, no one was at the entrance to the queen’s quarters.
I didn’t know why.
Maybe the Moon Goddess just wanted it that way.
I banged on the door again.
“Queen Rosa!” My voice was barely above a whisper.
I looked around, making sure no one was watching me.
I had to move to the back of her quarters. My feet hit the ground repeatedly. The scaffold lights beamed across the perimeter of the palace and the queen’s apartment.
I prayed fervently that no one would see me now, so it wouldn’t raise suspicion.
“Queen Rosa! Your Honor…”
I repeated the words softly.
Then I heard movement, something shifting on the bed. It seemed she had heard my voice.
She peeked through her window.
“It’s me, Leo. Open the door… I have good news,” I whispered, still scanning the surroundings to be sure security wasn’t watching.
I knew one or two of them might be watching, but at this point, I didn’t care anymore. All I cared about was my gold bar and leaving this pack for good.
I just wanted to take my belongings. My gold.
“What? Leo?” Queen Rosa’s voice cracked as she saw me through the window.
She moved toward the main door.
I quickly walked to it and watched as the knob turned and the door opened.
She pulled it open, allowing me inside.
Queen Rosa peeked outside to be sure no one was watching.
“Good.”
Then she shut the door behind her.
“Done,” I said firmly.
She turned to me, brows furrowed.
“What do you mean by ‘done’?”
“I have eliminated both of them.” I burst into a smile.
“That’s a lie. You’re pulling my legs.”
“I am not.”
I reached into the pocket of my long dress and brought out the pictures.
I dropped them into her hand.
She raised her hand slightly as she picked up the photos, images of the dead bodies of both Alpha Jax and Brielle on the ground, looking from one to the other.
Her mouth fell open. Her eyes widened
.
As I watched her, I knew this was what she wanted. A smile tugged at the corner of her lips.
“What have you done… Leo…or whatever rubbish name you call yourself?”
