Chapter 66 Why Choose When You Can Have It All
Isabella detected excitement in Daphne's voice and asked warily, "What kind of place? Please don't tell me it's a speed dating event."
Other people might not, but Daphne definitely would.
Isabella was getting ahead of any potential setup, making it clear she had no interest in dating.
Daphne laughed on the other end of the phone. "Do you think I'm that basic? You'll find out when you get here!"
After meeting up and grabbing dinner, Daphne drove them to what appeared to be a luxurious, golden-lit building.
"How's this? Never been here before, right?" Daphne asked Isabella confidently.
The Regal Club.
Isabella had seen this spa mentioned online before, though not in particularly respectable posts. The rumors said it was frequented by trust fund kids and was the easiest place to rub shoulders with the wealthy elite.
She shook her head honestly while showing clear reluctance, which made Daphne smile.
"Relax! We're just here to unwind today. I promise I won't make you do anything outrageous!"
They had a reservation, and after giving her phone number at the reception, a young woman in a fitted pencil skirt led them inside.
"Crystal Palace Suite, two VIP guests," she spoke into her headset.
This spa was different from what Isabella had imagined. The air was filled with a subtle, pleasant fragrance.
Everyone who passed by—the uniformed staff—looked like they could be professional models, each one stunningly attractive.
"Since when did you develop a taste for this kind of place?" Isabella asked in a lowered voice after being led by a beautiful attendant to change clothes and then to their reserved suite.
The suite contained two massage tables. With the curtains drawn and only one warm amber lamp lit, the entire room was bathed in shadows, creating an intensely atmospheric environment.
Daphne pressed Isabella to sit down. "Last time, our department had a team-building event, someone recommended this place. The prices are definitely steep, but the service is absolutely incredible. You'll see in a moment!"
The suite door opened again, and the young woman returned, followed by nearly ten tall, handsome young men filing in behind her.
Seeing so many young men, Isabella's expression changed dramatically. She stood up, ready to leave.
Daphne was quick to grab her arm and hold her back.
"Ever since you got married, your freedom has been completely tied up by family and kids. Now that you're finally ending that chapter of your life, of course, you need a massage to relax your body and mind."
When Isabella refused to choose, Daphne took charge, resting her chin on her hand as she looked them over. After deliberating for a while without making a decision, she simply waved her hand grandly. "We'll take them all!"
"Why choose when you can have everything?" Daphne threw money around generously, booking all these top-tier male models with perfect physiques.
The male models' expressions froze for a moment, clearly not expecting this choice from Daphne.
Soon they looked delighted—as long as they were getting paid, they'd let the client enjoy herself however she wanted.
"Miss, what kind of service are you looking for?" The most outgoing of the group approached Daphne with a flattering smile.
Daphne raised her chin and looked directly at Isabella. "Today's guest of honor is my friend Isabella. Your job is to help her relax completely."
The remaining male models immediately found their target, all eyes focusing on Isabella.
Isabella suddenly felt like prey being stalked by predators, startled by their collective gaze.
"Maybe we should just forget about this..." She was very resistant to contact with strangers. Just being surrounded by these men made her feel completely uncomfortable.
"You should really experience this. It's all legitimate spa services, don't worry," Daphne laughed.
The young man assigned to Daphne began working with gentle pressure while asking softly, "How's this pressure, Daphne?"
The men standing in front of Isabella all looked somewhat awkward. Even though they'd seen all kinds of clients at the spa, they seemed at a loss in this moment.
"Isabella, why don't I start with a shoulder massage?" One of them finally suggested.
Eventually, a young man who looked handsome enough to be a high school student took the initiative to approach Isabella, tentatively placing his hands on her shoulders.
Though Isabella was initially resistant, his movements were so gentle that she gradually began to accept the contact.
"How's this pressure? Do you need it stronger or lighter?" he asked.
Isabella could indeed feel her tense shoulders beginning to relax, so she shook her head lightly. "This is perfect."
Seeing that Isabella was truly relaxing, Daphne smiled with satisfaction.
"See? I told you their service was excellent."
"And them...?" Isabella looked worriedly at the several other male models standing motionlessly against the wall.
Daphne glanced up lazily. "Just let them stand there and watch."
After all, the money was already spent. Simply having these handsome models there to look at was a kind of visual pleasure in itself.
Isabella and Daphne had barely begun their session when someone was called to the adjacent suite.
Joshua looked at the two female models who had just arrived with obvious dissatisfaction. "Did you two not eat anything today?"
The two young women looked embarrassed, heads lowered as they stood before him.
"Go get your supervisor!"
Joshua didn't lose his temper with them directly, but suppressed his anger as he had them call their manager.
The supervisor knew Joshua was one of their biggest clients, so she hurried over quickly.
"How exactly do you train your new staff? This experience has been absolutely terrible."
The supervisor was caught off guard by Joshua's question and turned to look at the two young women.
Their biggest asset was simply that they were beautiful enough.
Few people came to the spa purely for a therapeutic massage anyway.
Most clients came specifically to see young, attractive women.
"I'll go find some replacements right away..."
"Send men," Joshua said with a furrowed brow, clearly displeased.
The supervisor paused, her entire face showing complete bewilderment. She hadn't expected Joshua to have such preferences.
"Mr. Thomas, we actually don't have any male therapists available today. How about I send over a couple of women with stronger hands?" The supervisor smiled while offering a compromise.
Joshua let out a cold laugh and shot her an icy look.
"How strong would a woman have to be to match a man's pressure? Since when has this place become so pathetic that you don't even have male staff?"
The supervisor felt like crying. She gave Joshua an awkward smile. "All our male therapists have already been booked by other clients."
"Since when do you have so many female customers here?" Joshua asked again.
The supervisor lowered her voice. Normally, she shouldn't reveal client information, but Joshua was their highest-tier VIP.
"The suite next door booked all of our male therapists, Mr. Thomas. I'm really sorry about this."
