Chapter 67 Being Cuckolded

Chapter 67 Being Cuckolded

Joshua, who was always generous with his spending, never expected someone to outspend him so dramatically.

"Which suite?" Joshua's expression darkened with displeasure as he prepared to personally retrieve a couple of the therapists.

The manager didn't dare speak further, worried that Joshua might directly confront the other clients in this situation.

Working in the service industry meant treating everyone as valued customers, so he couldn't afford to offend anyone and tried his best to appease the client.

"Mr. Thomas, if you really need the service, I could personally attend to you..."

Joshua's cold gaze swept over the manager. "Cut the nonsense. I came here to unwind, and I need professional service. Do you understand?"

Joshua considered himself fairly even-tempered compared to his other friends—he was definitely on the gentler side.

Left with no choice, the manager reluctantly revealed the room number for the Crystal Palace Suite.

Joshua rolled up his sleeves and strode out of his suite, only to discover that the Crystal Palace Suite was right next door.

He pushed open the door and immediately spotted two women inside, wearing the spa's plush robes and enjoying massage services.

Each woman was surrounded by several attendants—some providing massages, others feeding them fruit, and two male models were holding microphones, singing.

Even Joshua, who frequented such places, was impressed by the scene. He rarely witnessed such indulgent luxury.

The atmosphere in the suite was lively, and the two women were so absorbed that they didn't notice someone had opened the door.

Daphne bit into a grape and raised an eyebrow at Isabella. "How's this? Isn't the service absolutely incredible?"

Isabella was offered a piece of chilled watermelon, took a bite, then closed her eyes and nodded.

As long as you were willing to spend the money, you could enjoy royal treatment here.

Joshua squinted as he scanned the suite, about to speak when his gaze suddenly caught on the woman sitting inside—she looked familiar.

After studying her more carefully, he realized with shock who it was.

Wasn't that William's wife?

Although news of William's impending divorce had been circulating wildly in their high society circles, Joshua knew they hadn't actually filed the papers yet.

William's wife was at a spa like this?

And she'd booked this many male models?

Joshua realized he'd stumbled upon some explosive information. He quickly closed the suite door and hurried away.

Meanwhile, William and Richard sat across from each other at the same business dinner, neither speaking.

Seaside City's social circle was small, and both Infinity Ventures Corporation and Summit Holdings Corporation were top-tier companies. Any major collaboration inevitably involved both of them.

Others knew about their friendship and had deliberately seated them together.

Once they were side by side, the atmosphere became incredibly awkward.

Finally, William broke the uncomfortable silence.

"Are you really going to end our friendship over Isabella?" he asked in a low voice.

They'd known each other since school, and William had even helped when Richard founded Infinity Ventures Corporation.

To have come this far was truly regrettable.

Richard raised his glass toward William, the pale yellow white wine swirling in the crystal glass.

"I'm not the one insisting on this," Richard said quietly.

"But that's exactly what's happening," William replied through gritted teeth, his brow furrowed.

Given their deep history, reaching this point over a woman left William feeling conflicted.

"Rather than blaming Ms. Capulet, perhaps you should examine your own stubborn choices?" Richard laughed softly, then lifted his eyes to look calmly at William. "What's wrong with Ms. Capulet that makes you so determined to choose Laura instead?"

Any reasonable person could see that Laura was only approaching William for his money.

Only he remained oblivious.

William's expression darkened. "That's my private business. What does it have to do with you? Today, let's just talk about us!"

"Why won't you let Isabella go?"

Richard shook his head. "You simply don't know how to appreciate what you have."

"She's my wife."

"After you two divorce, Ms. Capulet won't be your wife anymore, William. Don't you understand what I'm saying?"

Richard's gaze held a hint of disappointment, equally puzzled why his old friend was so infatuated with Laura.

Even willing to hurt his own wife and daughter.

Many times, Richard had felt angry hearing the things Nathan said to Isabella and Olivia.

Yet William, as the person responsible, seemed to think there was nothing wrong.

As the topic returned to Isabella, William felt increasingly irritated.

"Didn't she just marry me for money in the first place? Now even you're feeling sorry for her!" William's tone grew nasty, barely concealing his malice when mentioning Isabella.

Richard set down his wine glass, completely abandoning any thought of trying to reason with him.

"If you find her so annoying, then divorce quickly. Don't use this miserable marriage to trap both of you."

William was about to respond when his phone suddenly rang. He stood up, irritably loosening his tie, and stepped out to take the call.

"William, are you busy right now?" Joshua's voice on the other end sounded strange.

"If you don't have anything important, don't bother me. If you want to drink or go out, find someone else."

Still carrying his bad mood from the conversation with Richard, William directed his anger at Joshua.

"Calm down..." Joshua was used to William's foul temper and just joked it off.

William snorted coldly. "If you hadn't called me, I'd be perfectly calm!"

Joshua chuckled on the other end, then remembered why he'd called William.

He felt that being direct might hurt William, so he started with a hint.

"Have you been in touch with Isabella lately?"

"What?" William's expression soured further, as if he wanted to reach through the phone and strangle Joshua.

"Okay, okay, whatever I'm about to tell you, you absolutely must stay calm," Joshua warned him.

William showed no reaction, quietly waiting for Joshua to speak.

"I'm at the Regal Club, and I just saw Isabella with a young woman. They've booked about ten male models. Do you want to come take a look?"

This was equivalent to William being cuckolded.

He instantly lost his composure, his expression changing dramatically. He quickly hung up, returned to the suite, grabbed his suit jacket, and left without looking back.
