Chapter 11: He Looks Exactly Like Me
Chapter 11: He Looks Exactly Like Me
Nathan
I gulped my drink and stared into space again, I felt like something was eating my inside. I had been in the club for hours and kept drinking so that I could forget her eyes but the more I drink, the more I find her settling in my heart.
"You get out of there. How did you come in anyways? You didn't even take my permission before your invasion." I pointed to my chest and muttered.
"It is, it is what? It is a violation of law, it is called abduction. Do you know that you can be imprisoned for it, Mr. Kelvin?" I grumbled.
"Why aren't you answering? Don't you have anything to say in your defense or is it because you are guilty?" I stare at my chest suspiciously.
"Fuck, bro, you are whipped and obviously druck." I looked up to see Jeremy settle on the seat beside me.
"Keep your mouth shut, I am not drunk. I am just interrogating her." I pointed to my chest.
"Of course, you are." He said, amused and I ignored him and stared at my chest again.
"You won't come out, would you? My stubborn wife, why can't I force you out?" I asked sadly.
If she won't come, then make sure you stay here forever because if you go later, I will be empty.
"Okay, let's go, I will send you back." I heard Jeremy's voice but I couldn't see his face. It was blurry and suddenly everything darkened.
*****
I heard an ambulance siren coming closer and closer.
"Father?" I opened my eyes to see someone checking my pulse and putting an oxygen mask on me.
"He has lost a lot of blood, his blood pressure is dropping." I heard another voice say.
"Hey child, stay with me okay. Keep your eyes open." The third voice said.
"Father?" He is still in the car l need to save him, I need to call for help.
"Everything will be okay, I love you my son."
I jolted awake with my heart racing as small beads of sweat trickled down my forehead. I stared at the ceiling blankly, sat up and felt a throbbing pain in my heart. What happened?
I remembered going to the club to meet Jeremy last night but he said he would be late. Where am I? I looked at the unfamiliar surroundings before spotting a familiar figure sprawled on the floor. I kicked him with my foot and he jolted awake.
"What? What now?" He sat upright and blabbered.
"How am I here?" He looked at me blank for a second before exclaiming.
"You don't remember anything?"
"What do you mean?" I asked, massaging my temple.
"You better not know, bro." He laughed, I glared at him and he raised his hand in surrender, still chuckling.
"You were just blabbering this and that, nothing more. You passed out on me so I brought you home." He said and yawned.
"Thanks, dude. I have to go now." I stood up and cupped my head.
"Not a problem, refresh and take some hangover medicine before you leave." He said and moved to the bed to sleep again.
"Oh yes," I stopped when he called and turned to him.
"Don't you ever, I repeat, don't ever get drunk in front of your wife if you want to save your little bit of pride that has left." I looked at him confused, is he still not awake or what? I ignored him and did my business. I called Larry to pick me up and bring some changes of clothes.
"Go to her place." I ordered and he glanced at me before nodding.
He parked the car in front of a mansion, I came out and went towards the gate. It was a bid fence gate and one can see the garden area from standing just outside the gate. I put my hands in my pocket and analyzed the area when I saw a small figure coming out of the house with a basketball in his hand. My heart raced while trying to have a clear view of him when he noticed me standing outside.
He left the ball and came near me and stopped just a few meters away from the gate. I had a sudden unexplainable feeling, my heart was hammering loudly in my chest. I looked at his face clearly, finding his face quite familiar like I have seen him somewhere but where?
I took a step closer to the gate and he did the same, putting his hands in his pocket just like me. Surprised, I looked at myself and then him again. His expression, his features, his style and his face. He looked exactly like me when I was young. Shit, is he…?
I noticed the expression on his face too, he was shocked to see me, does he know me? His expression changed from shocked to grim and cold before he asked.
"What are you doing here, Mr. Nathan Kelvin?"
I suddenly felt I was in a courtroom, standing in front of the judge who was about to give the verdict.

Yvonne POV.
I woke up to the sound of a little snoring, I turned my face to see Ryan sleeping soundly. I smiled and stared at his cute face.
"I love you the most in this world, my sunshine." I mumbled as I touched his face in a feathery manner. He was a heavy sleeper just like his…I sighed.
I got up, took a shower and got dressed and when I came out of the bathroom, he was still snoring. I kissed his chubby cheeks and went downstairs to make breakfast. Samuel was already sitting in the living room, working on his laptop.
"You are up?" I asked and he smiled.
"Good morning, Yvonne."
"Good morning," I went to the kitchen and I heard his voice from the living room.
"You need help?"
"No, I will manage." I responded.
I made pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage. I made milk tea for myself, fruit smoothie for Ryan and coffee for Samuel.
"Samuel, can you wake Ryan up please, I am almost done with breakfast." I said to him from the kitchen.
"Okay," I heard his response.
I was setting the table for breakfast when I saw Ryan making his way towards me.
"Good morning, mother." He kissed my cheek and I helped him sit on the chair.
"Wow, I am starving?" Samuel said, sitting on the chair as well.
"Dig in," I responded and we ate our breakfast while talking randomly.
We were sitting in the living room, Samuel and I silently working and Ryan reading his book. He learned to read and write at the age of three and he has quite good skills in vocabulary. He is also a very fast learner.
"Samuel?" I called and both of them looked at me.
"You should go to Dubai to get Chichi." I said, seriously.
"I will think about it, I am not sure yet, Yvonne." He said, trying to dismiss the topic while Ryan looked at us back and forth with his confused gaze.
"What do you mean by you sure? You have been waiting for her for years for heaven's sake. She is your first love." I said exasperated, he was avoiding the topic.
