Chapter 812 Scratches
Chapter 812 Scratches
Caroline warmly came up and took Christina's hand. "Don't be so formal, we're family now."
Caroline's friendliness eased half of Christina's tension. "Christina, have some fruit first. The meal will take a little longer." Caroline pushed the sliced fruit in front of Christina.
Christina said, "Thank you, Caroline."
At this moment, Nicholas came out of the study.
Paul introduced, "This is my brother, Nicholas. Nicholas, this is my wife."
"Nicholas." Christina stood up.
Nicholas nodded. His face was expressionless, but not as cold as usual.
Paul and Nicholas went to the study to talk, while Christina and Caroline sat in the living room chatting.
Christina was straightforward, and Caroline was not shy either. They quickly hit it off.
Half an hour passed, and the housekeeper brought the dishes to the table and opened a bottle of wine.
Caroline raised her glass and said, "Congratulations on your wedding."
Nicholas also toasted with Caroline.
Paul happily said, "Thank you, Nicholas. Thank you, Caroline."
Paul was particularly happy today. He drank a few more glasses with Nicholas at the table and then asked the housekeeper to bring out a bottle of his treasured wine.
Christina's face was also flushed as she drank several glasses. Only Caroline drank sparingly. Later, the three of them were a bit tipsy.
Caroline quickly stopped Nicholas from drinking more and helped him to his room. She quietly told the housekeeper to take a break, leaving the dining room to the newlyweds, Christina and Paul.
"I'll get another bottle of wine." Paul got up, swaying, and went to the wine cabinet to get another bottle, filling Christina's glass.
"Today is a great day. We won't stop until we're drunk!" Paul slurred.
Christina's eyes were also a bit hazy.
Tonight, except for the first bottle of red wine, the next two bottles were spirits. As the effects kicked in, they were both drunk. But they still retained some sense.
Christina shook her head. "I can't drink anymore. I have to work tomorrow. I need to sleep."
Christina got up, feeling dizzy. "Where do I sleep?"
Paul put the bottle aside and stood up to support Christina. "You've drunk too much. I'll take you to your room to rest."
Christina didn't refuse. They walked arm in arm, supporting each other into the bedroom.
"Look, this is our wedding room today." Paul looked at the room, pleased with how it was decorated for the wedding.
Christina stared at the room in a daze. The atmosphere in the room was different. It really had the feeling of a wedding night.
Paul's hand rested on Christina's shoulder. Seeing her in a daze, he waved his hand in front of her eyes. "Are you so happy that you're stunned?"
Christina brushed his hand away. "I want to sleep."
She turned to find the bed, with Paul following behind, untying his tie and dropping it on the floor, unbuttoning his shirt one by one.
Christina said, "Wait, I haven't showered yet. I need to shower first." She turned towards the bathroom.
Paul followed her like a loyal pet; wherever she went, he followed. Christina entered the bathroom, and he followed.
Christina turned to close the door, seeing him come in with his shirt fully unbuttoned, revealing his well-defined abs. Christina was stunned.
She should have driven him out, but what she blurted out was, "Can I touch it?"
Paul's cheeks were flushed with drunkenness. He laughed and opened his arms. "You're my wife, touch all you want."
Drunk courage sometimes made you do things you wouldn't normally do. Even though she still had some sense, the alcohol made her want to do it.
Christina didn't hesitate to touch Paul's abs. "So hard." She poked and pinched. "How did you get these muscles?"
"I work out every day." Paul proudly lifted his head, showing off his abs even more.
Seeing him show off, Christina wanted to show off too. "I have abs too."
"Let me see." Christina lifted her shirt, revealing her toned abs. "You touched mine, so it's only fair I touch yours, right?"
It seemed so. Christina's mind was fuzzy.
Paul extended a finger and gently traced her abs.
Christina stiffened.
"What's wrong?" Paul asked in a husky voice.
"It feels strange, like being electrified."
Paul said, "It must be my irresistible charm."
Christina rolled her eyes. "I'm going to shower. You need to leave."
Paul puffed out his chest. "Don't you want to touch my chest muscles?"
Christina couldn't help but glance over. Paul's skin was a tan color, his muscles well-defined. Any woman would find it hard not to drool.
Such a good opportunity, she didn't want to miss it. Christina reached out.
Suddenly, Paul pulled her into his arms. She almost fell, instinctively grabbing something, which turned out to be the shower handle, turning it on. Water started pouring down.
Once they steadied themselves, they were both soaked.
Christina hid in Paul's arms, her hands on his chest, feeling his body heat and the tightness of his abs.
The room was silent except for the sound of water. The warm water made their bodies hotter. Gradually, heavy breathing filled the air.
Paul moved, one hand on her lower back, the other lifting Christina's chin.
Christina was forced to look into his eyes. Her heart beat faster than before. She seemed to understand him through Paul's eyes.
Paul stared at her red lips, slowly lowering his head. Christina didn't move away, and their lips met. He immediately invaded her mouth.
The bathroom light was covered in a layer of warm steam, the surroundings enveloped in a hot flow. They were half-drunk, half-awake, half-resisting, half-accepting.
"Paul." Her voice carried a hint of fear.
"Don't be afraid. It's my first time too." Paul's deep, husky voice was like an aphrodisiac, making her unable to resist. The water ran all night.
The next day, Christina woke up with a headache, her whole body aching. Her first thought was that she might not be able to go to work today either. She wondered if Knox would be upset if she took two days off in a row.
Christina turned over, her hand touching something warm, like a person. She opened her eyes suddenly.
Paul was lying next to her, sleeping soundly. His exposed back had a few small scratch marks.
