At this moment, James was also furious.
He had been using the bathroom when Linda suddenly barged in.
James was an orphan who had moved to Lumina City to attend university.
To support himself and his girlfriend, he rented a room outside and delivered food in his free time to make ends meet.
When James first moved in, Linda was already living there.
Although they had lived together for almost six months, they had little interaction.
While James was busy delivering takeout when not attending classes, Linda locked herself indoors, her activities veiled in mystery.
James occasionally speculated maliciously about his sexy female roommate, wondering if someone was keeping her since she always looked so tired.
Today’s misunderstanding was the first of its kind.
After living together for so long, James knew Linda didn’t usually get up early, so he didn’t lock the bathroom door.
Who knew Linda would get up so early today and barge into the bathroom without a word?
Mocked by James like that, Linda blinked her eyes and took a while to react.
"Why didn't you lock the door? You think the bathroom is your private place, huh?"
Linda didn't care about the details. She had almost been seen naked by James, and she wasn’t going to let him off so easily.
"Are you blind? The bathroom light is on, didn't you see?" Linda was unreasonable, and James wasn't exactly a nice guy.
He would have fought her right there if Linda weren't a woman!
Linda was furious, pointing at James angrily. "Are you even a man? You didn't lock the door and now you're blaming me! We're not done if you don't explain this to me today!"
"Do you think you're a famous star?"
"With that flat chest of yours, even if you begged me to look, I wouldn't!" James sneered, glancing dismissively at Linda's chest.
"You!"
Linda's face flushed with anger.
Her chest wasn't big, but it wasn't flat either.
"Whatever, I don't have time for this. I've got things to do. Play by yourself."
James glanced at the time and saw it was already 1:30 PM.
He didn't have time to play with Linda, so he quickly grabbed the keys from the table and rushed out.
"James, you pervert, come back here!"
Linda grabbed a cushion from the sofa and threw it at James, who was already out the door.
There was a loud thud as the cushion hit the security door, shaking it violently.
"This woman is something else," James muttered angrily as he headed downstairs.
After leaving the rental apartment, James rode his bike straight to the Innovation Hub Tower.
At 2 PM, James arrived at the base of Innovation Hub Tower.
As the most high-end commercial office building in Lumina City, Innovation Hub Tower has 68 floors, with sky-high rent for each floor.
The open-air parking lot of the Innovation Hub Tower was filled with all kinds of luxury cars.
The employees entering and leaving the Innovation Hub Tower were all dressed in suits and looked like successful people except for James, who looked like a beggar in his dirty delivery uniform at the entrance.
"Excuse me. Deliveries should use the side fire exit!"
When James entered the Innovation Hub Tower, the receptionist frowned and called out. Her expression was full of disdain.
"I'm not here to deliver takeout," James replied nonchalantly.
"You're not delivering takeout? Then why are you here?" the receptionist snapped, clearly displeased.
"I'm here to find someone," James calmly stated.
"Find someone? You're just a delivery guy. Who could you possibly be looking for here?" the receptionist looked scornfully at James.
At that moment, James didn't know the name of the person he was supposed to contact. His immediate concern was to verify the authenticity of the inheritance. So, he ignored the receptionist and walked straight toward the elevators.
"What's wrong with you? I told you the delivery entrance is through the fire exit. Stop right there," the receptionist shouted, seeing James heading for the elevator.
Attempting to stop James, the receptionist hurried over as the elevator doors suddenly opened. James saw the receptionist running towards him and quickly dashed into the elevator.
A delicate voice echoed in the elevator. Due to his haste, James hadn't noticed anyone inside and accidentally collided with the person in the elevator.
"Can't you see there's someone here?" the person inside the elevator scolded angrily.
Looking up, James froze in place. The woman inside was stunning, appearing to be in her early twenties. Her black professional attire perfectly accentuated her nearly flawless figure.
Her long, slender legs encased in black stockings showed no sign of excess flesh, giving off an extremely pleasing sight.
Despite her angry expression, her alluring attractiveness remained undeniable. She had been holding a cup of coffee that James had inadvertently spilled on her chest.
"This is not a place for you to be! Security, come and escort him out!" Upon seeing James in his yellow delivery uniform, the woman in black stockings expressed her disgust.
"Sorry about that. I was in a rush and didn't realize there was someone inside. James apologized as he pulled out a tissue from his pocket, intending to help clean the coffee off her.
As he reached towards the woman's neckline with the tissue, the woman in black stockings instinctively let out a piercing scream, "Pervert!"
