Final Epilogue
The world seems to move at an astonishing speed, never stopping; it draws us into its atmosphere and accelerates our lives. In the process, we can miss out on so much; like finding that love which becomes a safe haven where the heart can beat without fear, awakening a deep longing for connection and belonging.
Some say the search begins with self-discovery, a pilgrimage into our inner being, accepting the shadows we carry and letting them intertwine with dreams of the future. Others believe it is a fortuitous event destined to happen. Does anyone know for sure?
What is known is that when we finally find it, it feels like a new dawn that illuminates the sky of our existence, painting the canvas of our life with warm and vibrant colors. It is an embrace that wraps us in its warmth, a whisper that makes us feel alive, a heartbeat that reminds us we are not alone. It is the miracle of finding a piece of ourselves in the heart of another.
Everything takes on a different meaning; we are no longer alone. We just need to step off that constant spinning world for a moment and observe; because there is not just one type of love and not all loves are the same. Not all of us are destined to find it or to cross paths with it. And yet its warmth reaches us anyway: it can be in the tired smile of a grandmother to her grandson, in the words of courage from a friend, in the rough hands of a father, or even in the crazy wagging of a pet’s tail. But there it is, floating around us. We must move forward with that certainty, appreciating every manifestation of love in its various forms.
The crucial thing is to keep the heart open, to be aware of the moments that connect us, and to allow ourselves to feel, even when it seems there is nothing out there for us. In the ebb and flow of life, it is in those moments of stillness and reflection when love becomes most evident, when we understand that, despite the rush and distractions, there is always a place where we can find respite, a reason to smile, a spark of warmth that reminds us we are alive and loved.
Daniel and Deanna were living that miracle, and they would live it for many years; because despite the passage of time, that spark, that resurgence of emotions, passions, and support, would be renewed every day. Each dawn was a new opportunity to rediscover and strengthen each other. Their days were filled with those small moments that, although they might seem trivial, were laden with meaning: shared laughter, understood silences, hugs that spoke more than a thousand words.
Their life together would be a series of chapters in a book written daily, where each page would reflect their triumphs and failures, their laughter and tears. On each page, there would be space for new stories, new dreams, and more love. They knew that, although life could sometimes be unpredictable and challenging, they would always have the chance to find each other again; that the true essence of their love lay in the willingness to reinvent themselves each day, in the promise to be present, and in the ability to find that magic in the everyday. Each day, promises would be renewed, and their hearts would continue to beat together.
And if the sun didn’t shine
And I was trapped here
I wouldn’t see the reason
To keep living without your love…
