Coincidence? Maybe not.

**Valerie's POV**

I got to my destination and alighted from the Cab, it was a really nice environment with almost the same house, like a mini estate. I paid the driver afterwards with some change to keep for himself, then he thanked me before driving off.

I looked at the address one more time just to be sure that I was in the right place, and actually I was. I was about to go to the house number on the address when my soldiers kicked reminding me that they had been patient enough.

I tried to ignore their kicks because of my curiosity, but they made me understand that there’s power in two’s.

“Okay, okay, I’m going to eat.” I said to myself holding my stomach.

Just then a lady passed and was staring at me weirdly, I didn’t take fault in that. Because who wouldn’t stare at me when I just stood in the middle of the road speaking to myself. I smiled sheepishly at her before walking away to find a restaurant nearby.

The search of a restaurant wasn’t that easy at all, even with my Google map, I had to walk some distance before I finally saw a small cafe. During my walk, my stomach was on the third world war, I kept whipping till I got inside.

How am I so sure that my babies aren’t both boys because the way they treat me while still growing is making me question. Just a few more weeks, I’d go perform a scan to know.

I got into the cafe and ordered a small breakfast, after eating I remembered that I wasn’t feeding only myself because I wasn’t satisfied, I ordered for another plate and another and ended up taking three plates of different dishes before I was satisfied.

I got stares all over, but I really didn’t care, if only they understood what I am facing they would have to buy me more food.

Soon I was done, I cleared the bills and continued my journey to Dr. Sam’s house. I took another walk back to the mini estate. When I got to the address I kept on hitting the doorbell without any response.

Suddenly an Old man came from behind and tapped me.

“Hello, my child. Who are you?”

At first I thought it was doctor Sam, but looking at his face again, this man was really old and I am not sure Dr. Sam would have grown this old in just ten years.

“Um…. Good morning, sir, please I’m looking for Dr. Sam I was given this place as his address.”

“Oh really? Well, I’m sorry my child, there isn’t any Dr. Sam here, I’ve been in this neighborhood for the past ten years and I haven’t heard of any Dr. Sam. Maybe he was the occupant of this house before me, that’s why you were given that address.”

“Oh, okay then. I’m really sorry for the troubles I might have cost you. Do have a good day ahead.”

“Okay, my child. If you’d excuse me.”

“Oh yeah.” I said before stepping down from the house, this was now becoming strange. First, he quit his job immediately after I was discharged, and then he also moved out of his former address. All these things were now becoming strange, and making my curiosity rise to its highest.

I started walking back to the exit of the mini estate while boarding a cab online, and agreeing to a fair price with my driver.

I got to the estate waiting for my ride, lost in thoughts. Just then a pretty advanced lady approached me with the brightest smile I’ve ever seen.

“Hey.”

“Hey,” I replied in a low tone.

“I’m Lucy.” She said.

Immediately my mind flashed back to Mrs. Lucy from the club. People who are named Lucy are mostly mean so I decided to ignore her at first. Until she mentioned something.

“I know who you’re looking for.”

“What?!” I asked surprised.

“Yes, I do, you’re looking for Dr. Sam right?”

“Yeah, does he live here? Where is he?”

“Easy, easy, okay.”

“Okay, now you’ve gotten my attention.”

“Well, Dr. Sam doesn’t live here anymore, he left ten years ago.”

“Oh really?!”

“Yeah, I’ve been with him in this neighborhood for a long time until ten years ago when he just came back from work and moved out with his family.”

This was strange, first he resigned from his job, then all of a sudden moved out of his neighborhood to a new place. Could this be a coincidence or there was something Behind this? I really have to get to the bottom of this, from the look of things, there could be a chance that he knows something, or it was just a coincidence.

“Um, sorry. Lucy right?”

“Yeah”

“Do you by any chance know where he lives now?”

“Yes, I do.”

“Wow, that’s great. Can you please give me his new address?”

“No, I won’t.”

“Why?”

“Because, you didn’t seem to have any interest in what I was saying, but until I mentioned that I knew who you were searching for. So why would I want to give you his address when you didn’t show any interest at first.”

“Please Ma’am, don’t talk like that.” I said, but still she proved to be adamant. Now this was one common attitude people called Lucy give. On a normal day, I wouldn’t care, but right now I won’t let my pride ruin my only chance to get Dr. Sam.

“Okay, how much do you want? Name your price.”

“Now you’re talking, I want 500 USD.”

“Okay, fine, give me your details I’d make the transfer immediately.”

I made the payment afterwards and the she just wrote the address on a sheet of paper before leaving with the same smile she had on when she came.

“Nice doing business with you.” She said before leaving.

I took a good look at the address she gave and quickly boarded another cab to the-same address. I wasn’t familiar with the place, but I was determined to get to the bottom of this once and for all.
