Dr. Sam

**Valerie's POV**

I got home really excited, all that was running through my mind was the fact that I was going to have a building with my name after so many years.

I stayed with Ma’am Valerie a bit, chatted and we both had dinner before going to bed. As usual while I was in bed, different thoughts ran through my head, I tried to fight them and go to sleep according to the doctor’s orders, but I just couldn’t.

I was thinking about a way to make Oliver remember the night he had with Valerie, maybe that would be a good edge to start, but yet again, if I do so, I would be accepted back into the palace when he finds out that I’m actually carrying his child.

But what about the truth about my parents' death, I had already promised to give them justice, so instead of focusing on Oliver now, I’d rather find out the truth about who or what really took my family away from me. For some reasons I thought there was more to that accident ten years ago, With that I fell asleep

******* next day******

I woke up to the morning ray from the sun with heavy eyes, I walked lazily to the kitchen and met Ma’am savanna making some really delicious tea. I grabbed mine immediately and gulped it all down.

“Good morning, Ma’am Savannah”

“Yeah, right like you’re just seeing me.”

“I’m sorry Ma’am, I just really needed that tea.”

“Don’t make it sound like you’re the only one who requested for it.” She said with a smirk.

“How are my babies doing?”

“They’re doing great Ma’am.”

“I bet their father doesn’t know the sweetness and the good things he’s missing by not being here with you and your babies.”

Immediately she said that my mood changed. Memories were now flying in my head as I remembered the wonderful times I had with Oliver, a tear escaped my eyes. This was the more reason I needed to know the truth surrounding me and Oliver.

Ma’am Savanna noticed my countenance and began to apologize if her words hurt me. I quickly wiped my tears out went up to my room got dressed and stepped out without saying a word to her.

She kept on screaming my name apologizing, but I gave no response instead I was moving without even turning back. I boarded a taxi and went to town. The first place I visited, was the hospital, I was admitted to ten years ago.

I had a lot of questions to ask Dr. Sam, he was the one who took care of me and handled my families’ case, I also remember vividly, that the day I was to be discharged a particular police officer came to visit him, and I was told that the police officer was also in charge of the investigation of my parents death.

So I was curious, I wanted more. I walked into the clinic and met with the receptionist.

“Hello.”

“Hello ma’am”

“Um… please is Dr. Sam in?”

“Dr. Sam?”

“Yes, please.”

“Actually, Ma’am Dr. Sam doesn’t work here anymore. He retired ten years ago.”

“Really?”

“Yes ma’am”

This was strange.

“Uhm.. Do you have any idea of where he might be? Like his address?”

“Actually Ma’am, I don’t, but I know someone who might if you don’t mind wait…..”

“I’ll wait, take your time.” I cut her short the minute I knew what she wanted to say.

Minutes later she came back with a little advanced lady, I immediately recognized her, she was the nurse who injected me when I first came out, from my mini coma ten years back. But she didn’t seem to remember me at all.

I had to do a re-introduction for her to really grab who I was. The second she knew that I was the-same girl from ten years ago, I noticed the sudden stiffness in her body.

“Ma’am, are you okay?”

“Yes, I’m good. I’m just surprised at how fast time flies, I still remember you as a teenager on those wheelchairs. You’ve become so pretty”

“Thank you so much Ma, but that isn’t why I’m here.”

“What’s the matter?”

“Actually, I’d like to have Dr. Sam’s address. I’d also like to pay him a visit.”

Her countenance changed instantly.

“Is anything the problem?”

“Um… we usually don’t give out such information.”

“Please? It’s really urgent.”

After much persuasion and begging, she finally agreed to it and gave me his address. I quickly boarded another cab with my Google map on so I could locate the address easily.

I was still inside the cab when my two bodyguards inside me kicked to remind me that I haven’t fed them with anything aside tea this morning. So I planned to stop by at a restaurant to get something to eat.

On my way, different thoughts that seemed weird started flowing in, why was the nurse frozen when I mentioned seeing Dr. Sam, to her? Why did Dr. Sam resign as at the same year, I and my family ran into an accident? And I’m so sure it must have been after that incident he resigned. But why?

These were a few of the many things which were bothering my head.
