Javier POV

Even now, all my plans have been reduced to nothing by him. I had to hurry back home and use their daughter as the last plan and if I was closed, I would have messaged Ruth to leave Alioma. I sighed as I reached the transportation portal and realized I was alone. I was so quick to leave that I forgot to take even one of the heretics with me. Now I have to get back to Alioma on a long agonizing journey. I hope they believe that I have died in the battle and take their time searching for me, the time they will take looking for me among the dead is enough to cover a great distance. If Khan comes rushing in, there will be no escape for me.

Without further delay, I transformed and ran towards Alioma. This is the only way to escape the clutch of death. I have to run at full speed without resting, in that way the journey would be made in four days or so. I took off as I noticed that someone was already chasing me. Khan is truly someone beyond common sense.

"You think you can run away from me?"

The moment I heard the voice, he appeared before me. What have I gotten myself into? There is no running away from him, he is the owner of the world.

"You brought war to my Nation and even kidnapped my daughter, there will be no mercy for you."

He took care of everything faster than I thought. So Adoff wasn't even able to keep him for a little longer.

"Let us be reasonable, if anything happens to me, you wouldn't be able to see your daughter again." I returned to my human form not because I wanted to communicate with him but because I am scared.

"You don't need to worry about that, I can get my daughter anytime I want."

"You might be the king of the world but you won't be able to search the whole world."

I managed to smile to show a brave appearance. I hope it is better than I expected. He looked at me for a while without uttering a word, maybe I have finally made him see reason.

"I can guarantee your daughter's safety if you promise not to harm me and my daughter." He kept quiet and I continued to make my demands.

"I will never try to bother you or your family ever again."

"You are a pox and there is no guarantee that you won't bother us again."

He is right about that, my hatred for him and everything he stands for runs too deep.

"Also, you keep making wrong demands, you think you still have my daughter?"

Is he insinuating what I am thinking? No, it can't be, he wouldn't have gone to Alioma and come back.

"Your demands should have been your life for your daughter's."

"What do you mean?" I asked as I was already starting to tremble.

"My son could always feel his sister no matter the distance of the spell you used to hide her, my wife has gone to Alioma through the teleport portal your heretics created."

"She would be attacked immediately when she enters." He smirked.

"Not when Fenris and Farkas are with her. Besides, Adoff has submitted himself to me."

My eyes widened as this was outside my calculations. Never did I imagine he would make Adoff submit instead of killing him.

"So, try to make other demands, I am curious about what you will say."

I was already speechless and I kept looking at him till another solution hit me. He is a man that can't resist the pleasure of the skin. It was different when he had no emotions but now, he had the desires of every other man.

"Ruth, I can make my daughter your mistress. Nobody has to know, you just have to keep it a secret and even tell everyone you have killed me."

I suggested as I remembered all the hardship I have been through since I left the South. How I lost my family in the hands of rogues, only Ruth survived. Now, it is her turn to repay for all the things I have provided for her.

"She used to be the most beautiful female in the South and I assure you her beauty still remains." I knelt as I have lost all my pride. Adoff would not utter a single word if Khan desired to take Ruth.

"It will be a thing of pride to you having the two most beautiful ladies at your beck and call." I wasn't able to read his expression, Khan was never someone you can predict. I am betting on the fact that every male desires a beautiful woman. I can't count how many females died at my hands because of my high sexual urge.

"You don't have to hold back as you do with your mate, you can ravage Ruth as much as you want." I started to stroke his feet.

"You disgust me." He kicked me away.

"I wonder what made you an Alpha or if the Alpha in you matters or not." He came closer and kicked me harder this time and I felt my ribs crack.

"I hated Ruth and thought of her as a selfish person but hearing the words from your month, I was made to believe she would have been a better person if she had a better father. He stepped on my arms and broke my bone.

"Aaah, survival is the priority of every person." I held my arm and curled in pain.

"Yes but not at the expense of your child. Even animals wouldn't do that." He broke my left leg inflicting more pain on me.

"I am just trying to survive." I coughed out blood.

"If you were trying to survive, you wouldn't have rebelled against me and you would have stayed in the South. You were greedy and wanted to ascend to the throne you never deserved." I scoffed.

"Then, you deserved it because you were born into it? Give me a break, you never did anything to deserve it too." I muttered since I have realized that my life is no longer mine, I can as well tell him everything.

"Yes, I don't deserve it and if anyone should deserve it more, it should be Fenris and Farkas but I have to live every time trying my best to be deserving. I have to put my life on the line no matter the danger, I will never think of sacrificing anyone even at the risk of losing my life. You see, there is a difference between the both of us. Where you will sacrifice everyone to save yourself, I will sacrifice myself to save everyone." Khan answered.

"You can just kill me, everyone would be happier." I said that because the pain was becoming unbearable for me.

"That would be mercy, I waited for you to run far away where no one would hear you scream before coming after you. I asked Fenris and Farkas to escort Dianna with Ralph to get Rieka. I did this all to make sure no one will interfere. I am about to give you hell and nobody will come to your rescue." He started his long torture and broke every bone on my body. I was unable to heal because the wounds were inflicted by him.

At one point, I couldn't even hear my scream and that is when I realized that he had busted my eardrum and ripped out my tongue. I was in such a sorry state for an Alpha that once was one of the pillars of the South. He stopped when I realized I had become numb to the pain.

"Now, the pain you have caused your victims, you have experienced a little of it. I hope they will be satisfied with it wherever they are."

With that, he left me to bleed to death. I will die here, be buried under the snow, with no stone to mark my grave. It would be like all the females that died in my hand and were thrown away to the forest or river. I have really lived a selfish life and I am filled with regrets. I don't know which hurts more, the regrets or the pain.

"Ruth, I am sorry." I murmured before taking my last breath.

Khan Pov.

I heard his heartbeat slowly stop as he drew his last breath. This is a deserving death for him. I am glad nobody was around to interrupt his punishment. I heard the caws from the ravens and turned to see, they were already feasting on his flesh. After they are done, whatever that is remaining would be buried in the snow.

I knew that my mate didn't experience any form of difficulties and they are already back home. I looked at my hands and felt myself pulsing with power. I felt something left me after my fight with the stranger and Nelson. It was the major reason why I went into a coma. I was like floating in an endless abyss and not wanting to come out. I was looking for something to replace whatever I have lost. I will always be a symbol of power and everyone will always look up to me for protection. I needed my strength back so I kept looking and I couldn't believe it took this long.

While in the abyss, I did some soul searching. I felt Ralph was not being affected as he got himself after a while. I was surprised and wondered what he had and where he was getting his strength from. I felt everything while I was in the abyss. I even felt her distress when Rieka was kidnapped, although I never knew the reason for the distress then. I only woke up when I realized where Ralph was getting his strength and confidence from. He is getting his strength from everyone that believes he is the Khan. Even at a young age, he has understood the importance of having a burning desire. Desire to rule, to protect or to love. Whatever your desire is, power will mostly respond to it. It wouldn't just be a desire but a burning desire. A desire that is so hot to the extent that it can melt down every ice. My desire to protect my family filled me with power and that was why I woke up.

I went back to the South and saw my family all happily waiting for me. Rieka came running to me the moment she saw me coming.

"Daddy."

She jumped and wrapped her arms around me. I have missed this, it felt like I have gone for eternity. Her tiny arms wrapped around me provided all the warmth that I ever needed.

"My Jewel." I muttered and revealed in the warmth. My wife came carrying Ralph and I hugged them too.

"I am happy you came back to us." She whispered.

"I am happier." I replied.
