Chapter 62: The Meeting
Alan's POV
"you can't have all the lands allocated to you!" The four mutters with a grumpy look and I rolled my eyes in disdain.
Who fights for land in this modern age? If he needed I'd buy it all with my wealth.
The waiters and waitresses had arrived and were serving the various dishes ordered by Darius.
No one touched a meal, only Darius ate and caused noise. He was ignite hate and detest in them.
Shit my legs hurts from standing too long. I wasn't used to this and it's my first time trying to act like a bodyguard.
I just anticipated for the fight scene and most of the words they said didn't really matter and I was getting pissed off with the lurching eyes of the third man.
It was obvious, he wants to devour me with that sassy eyes.
"And if I win? Do I get to carry your cute bodyguard?" The third suddenly proposed and Darius glares at him.
He threw his hands in the air and chuckled naughtily.
"Don't you dare look at him, let's get down with the reason why we're here" Darius barks burning at him as he thought he'd be the first he wants to kill.
I felt safe and a little blush escaped my lips. It made feel like dragged Darius up, slamming him to the wall and kissing him.
However, I wade off the thought, suddenly interested to learn where this discussion was heading to.
"Stop your acts Darius, these people would still see you as the devil despite all the good" the first points out thudding his hand on the table and getting pissed off.
I rolled my eyes at Darius who scoffed.
"I'd still fighting for them and anyone who oppresses them dies!" He quickly affirms, drew his gun and shot the third guy.
I shuddered where I stood almost frozen as Darius shifted his gaze at me.
"I hate it when he keeps staring"
The three widens their eyes at him and I almost lost my breath. He just shot this man because he was still staring at me.
"I hate to have a meeting with you, blood must be shed!" The fourth growl rising up but Darius only blew a slight air on the muzzle of his gun.
I tried not to appear pertrified and chest out, my chin high as I had difficulties breathing.
"That's just a sigh that we'd never align"
Darius raised his legs on the table, placing his boat on the delicious meal the waiters and waitresses have served.
He arched his hands behind his head and then scoffed.
"I'm waiting for your words Diego" he mutters to the second let out a wry smile and said;
"It's not fun if I get to pull the first trigger, I also have eyes for your guard" he confessed with a lustful gaze at me.
"Seems you're a celebrity today Alan, why do you have to be a pretty boy?"
Cold flushes inside me as my heart was flusters, I maintained a cold gaze, just not to be belittled.
Soon, gangsters burst out from everywhere of the hall and I went soft.
Before I could blink an eye, they had pulled out their gun and pointing at us.
Yet, Darius seems quiet and relaxed.
He roses up from his sit and then strained his shoulders.
"Any last words gentlemen?" He suddenly said taking out his gun.
It's impossible for him to beat these countless men holding us on duress.
He shouldn't get hurt, I should be the one who wants to die.
The first eyed him and almost immediately, I heard gunshot.
I shot my eyes, intending to digest the pain of being shot.
My hands were holding on to Darius and I pants, suddenly not feeling any pain.
Nervously, I spur my eyes opened and Darius terrifying eyes staring at me, as though I was weird.
"Why act like a bodyguard when you can't protect me" Darius mocked and I exhaled softly, letting go of his hand.
I scrolled my eyes around, the three dons were still alive but the place was littered with their men's bodies.
Besides these men stood another set of gangs which I presume belongs to Darius.
They saluted Darius and shoved their gaze back to the gangs that were coming in.
I retched feeling irritated and then I wipe my mouth, so sick because of the blood.
Darius raised me up and tug a bottle of martini in my hand.
"Stick closely to me" he ordered while I quickly opened it to drink.
I could see how he beats, punches and kicked the men one by one.
It felt like though I was watching a live action and entertaining myself with the alcohol just not to throw up.
It seems he had everything planned out and I love his tactics.
It was thrilling and fear gripping as I didn't want anyone to touch Darius.
He was good at dodging, breaking them apart.
It seems I was invincible as none of the gangsters that walk pass Darius men touched me.
Bullets rained in the air and I wasn't running and just waiting for one to mistakenly hit me.
I was nervous not knowing what to do. I was meant to be his protector not the other way around.
Where I stood, I felt someone grip me. It was the second don, he had managed to escape and held me.
"Are you gonna kill me or fuck me?" I muttered from my lips then scoffed at him.
"I'd like to have a taste of you, handsome" he said and then grabbed my dick.
"Fuck!" I screeched trying to push him away as his breath stinks.
He tried to harass me, his lips almost touching mine as I punched him on the face.
He growl and pinned my shoulders to the wall, as though he'd bite me.
However, a bullet ran through his head, his blood splashes on my face.
I saw his body fall to the ground as i was frozen, frighten then I threw my gaze at Darius.
He was close now and I could see him bloodied as more gangs runs in.
He pulled me aside and kept shooting at the surging gangs.
"Run, Alan" he ordered, navigating a way for me to leave.
However, I'm not leaving, I must get killed. I moved from where I stood and raced in front of him as the bullet kept pouring rain.
"Fuck! Alan!" He cried and covered me, protecting me from the bullets while his men he had stationed finish them off.
He cupped me in his arms like a shield and he took my breath away. Looking at his face, the world stops.
He rose a bit from me as he searches my body if I was hurt. However, I was speechless.
Slowly I pulled him away and rose up a bit, tensed for him if he were injured, however, I didn't want to seem like I cared.
"Are trying to get yourself killed?" He questioned with worried in his eyes and I exhaled softly.
"Yes! Why didn't you just let me die!" I barked as my anger steam up as tears. He should stop jeopardizing that plan all the time, I can't bear to see him saving me.
