Wedding 2
Ayla POV
Every step I take away from the imperial bedroom, my heart races, this is a dream come true, and I still can't believe it's really happening. A part of me is afraid that it's all just a dream and that I'll end up waking up on the cold floor of Julian's pack.
The aisles are full of flowers that are typical of spring, as this was the first thing I decided, that the theme of the wedding would be the season when most flowers bloom.
In addition, of course, to having the flowers from each of the houses, even those that bloom at specific times... Ishtar had already helped me with this, making sure they were all bright and at their peak.
I stop at the window to see how happy everyone is, with the music echoing even as high as I am. Most of them are my subjects and my heart warms knowing that they are happy for me.
I took a deep breath and stepped into the elevator, which had been modified with Victor's skill and Novus' power, making it take me directly to the entrance of the open chapel, where the Presentation and Wedding Ceremony would take place.
I heard the sound of the elevator arriving at the correct floor and the doors opened, but I was in the previous room and I saw the best man and maid of honor standing there.
Skyler walked up to Anderson and took his arm, she looked at me quickly and turned her face away. She and Sebastian were supposed to go in together and this change was made at the last minute... I don't like it, but I'm not going to argue about it now. It's not the right time. The sound of the chosen song began to echo as the couple walked forward, Charlotte glancing at me one last time before following.
I lowered my face and looked at the bouquet in my hands, seeing the flowers in vivid colors, as well as Smeraldo and Selene's Tear shining brightly. Today will be the day that I will be known throughout the Kingdoms as the Empress of the Vampires and the Lycans.
I smiled, calming my heart, and lifted my face and the door opened, I could see several flowers hanging, as well as the soft glow of Fairy magic, the floor was made of bluish marble, which shone as if it were glass, there is a corridor created for my passage, and it is divided by two long rows of vases with the most diverse flowers. I didn't mind the many different auras there, even though there were hundreds of people sitting there, none of them shone as brightly as Soren and Victor, who were standing in front of a golden arch.
They were both wearing white suits, Soren had red and gold details, with blue stones attached to his chest. Everything about him exudes grandeur; if I knew the Gods, I'd say he was the son of one. His golden hair is perfectly combed, his blue eyes shine with confidence, and I can see in them how happy and content Strïth is.
Next to him is Victor, also wearing a white suit, but the cut has a military touch, while his black hair is loose and slightly disheveled, underneath the white palette he has a black vest, a white shirt, and a red tie. His caramel eyes shine as if they were the sun itself, and I can tell Hermaði is proud of how far I've come.
It seemed like an eternity to get to them, but as soon as I did, I knew what I needed to do, and I slowly lowered my knees, kneeling in front of them. The two of them lift the veil and then pick up a golden velvet box that is on a small podium.
As soon as they open it I see a delicate tiara, it's set with diamonds and some emeralds, rubies, and sapphires, and the surrounding magic is soft and gentle. I know I have my crown as Empress, but I can't wear it now and this one is the replacement.
"Ayla Smaragdus, you have always been My Green Moonlight." Soren began to speak.
"You've always been the Light I didn't know I needed," Victor added.
"When I first saw you, I couldn't believe how the Gods had gifted me with someone so beautiful and so strong." Strïth.
"I knew I had found my Empress." Hermaði.
"How could I have imagined that you would accept me and make me someone better." Victor.
"Everything in this Kingdom has changed." Soren.
"In such a short time, you've brought a freshness to everyone." Victor.
"And like lightning, I've lost my voice." Soren.
"I've run out of breath." Victor.
"Because our life begins and ends with you." The two of them together. "Our hearts only beat because you exist."
Their words made me cry, the tears flowing silently, not out of sadness, but out of happiness. I had never experienced anything so powerful, so heavy, and yet so light.
I belonged to those men, and they belonged to me. Nothing could change that, and those who try to stand in our way will be obliterated.
"May all races witness, on this day, that the Empress of the Vampires and Lycans are our Fated Mate, Ayla Smaragdus." The two of them finished speaking and placed the tiara on my head.
I can feel everyone in this castle who has sworn allegiance to us. I know that they kneel and cry out my name, swearing allegiance and loyalty to me.
I stand up, I know that this is happening all over our territory, but I will only feel the weight of those in the Castle. For safety's sake.
"The Gods have brought me my two gifts, my miracles." I begin to speak.
My voice echoes everywhere as if carried by the winds and the living walls of the place.
"I had almost nothing, you found me and believed in my potential." I smile extremely happily. "When some only saw a nameless slave girl, you went further, you showed me a world much bigger than my wildest dreams."
I paused for a few moments, taking a deep breath, and finding the right words, which no matter how many times I had written and revised them, I still didn't know what to say.
"With patience, with care, and with love, you have shown me that the world is not gray." I took a deep breath.
Soren and Victor put out their hands and each held one side of my face. Our eyes met, and that moment will forever be engraved in my heart and soul.
"I, Ayla Smaragdus, agree to be Em..." I began to speak the ritual of acceptance.
"NO! YOU CAN'T!" A male voice echoed above everyone.
I widened my eyes, this had to be a joke.
"Who do you think it is?"
The voices of Soren, Strïth, Victor, and Hermaði rose together, just as their auras expanded.
The shadows expanded, and even the sun seemed to lose its brightness.
"I am your true Fated Mate. You are just a fraud!" The male voice replied, as loudly as my mates.
Chaos began to reign, as several voices joined in with this declaration.
