Jessica is to be expelled.
"Are you aware that fighters are always expelled from this school?" Miss Dorothy, the physics lecturer and also the Dean of students affairs ( DOSF) asked as she was talking to Jessica, Sara, and thirteen students who were there for questioning.
Ray had been taken to the school clinic after having a lot of gashes on his body for treatment. Ray's father would not take it likely if he sees his son with a lot of wounds so they had to take him to the school clinic before they called for his father.
" So, I heard you caused all these" Miss Dorothy said to Jessica.
" no, miss, I am innocent of this, I was trying to prevent them from hitting Ray," Jessica said in a tremble.
"It's a lie, asshole! You caused all this chaos" Ann added weight to Jessica's blame.
"She is a Stinky girl always making out troubles in the class," Nasani said and others attested falsely to it.
" You shall be expelled from this school if we later find out that you are the cause of this chaos " Miss Dorothy added.
Jessica was just a casual student who gained admission to the school on scholarship. She was not recognized, unlike others whose parents bagged respect and honor in the City. Sara was a daughter of a billionaire in the City so she was respected and treated special. Miss Dorothy was ready to expel Jessica as she said.
It was a mandate for the school to expel any student caught in the act of fighting. The school vice Chancellor does not care whether the students are from a rich or poor family all he knows is that any student that fights would be sent out of the school with immediate alacrity else the teacher in charge would be sacked.
Miss Dorothy was the woman in charge of the case because she was the one on duty today so she must expel at least one student and who she chose was a daughter from a poor family, Jessica.
Miss Dorothy dismissed them to move to their classes for the lecture, adding that the judgment would be made at the end of today's lecture.
Jessica moved out of the office with tears on her face while Ann, Sara, and other female students mocked her and laughed at her.
"Hey, I will make sure you leave this school, Jessica" Ann pushed Jessica to the wall and said. Jessica kept quiet to instill peace. She was yet to be freed from her alleged accusations so she must be quiet else her accusations would be stamped.
" hey, poor girl, why can't you just hang yourself to death don't you know that you don't belong to this world? " Nasani asked and poured the milkshake in his hand onto her body.
" I am sure my boyfriend bought this dress for you," Sara said and moved to tear her naked but she struggled to escape them.
Jessica dive into tears and sobbing as she cleaned her body that had been drenched with the Milkshake.
Jessica was crying because she felt like she had failed her grandmother and her little brother. She promised her grandmother to be a good girl but now her stay in the school was not feasible.
Jessica moved under a tree that was near the campus garden and sat beneath. She cried bitterly and felt rejected by her mates.
Ray's father, Mr. Bird, moved into the Campus with his bodyguards who were in black suits. Jessica saw Mr. Bird stepping out of his car furiously and fear encompassed her. She wiped off her tears as her heart scorched heavily. She must hide herself away from this man.
Mr. Bird moved to the school clinic with two bodyguards at his side to meet Ray. Jessica stood up closely and sneaked quickly towards the clinic since it was not far from the campus garden.
She sneaked to the window and eavesdropped on Mr. Bird. Rumor claims that Mr. Bird was brutal and manipulative so she was curious to hear what he had to say, but not without trepidation.
" hey, bastard. You have brought nothing but disgrace and embarrassment upon the Birds family. You promised me that you would not be engaged in any form of violence but here you are at the leading scene of fighting again just as you did in your high school. You promised to be a great mathematician like my father but you failed, you are a failure, yes a failure, Ray, I am so unfortunate to have you as my child " Mr. Birds said in tears and moved out of the clinic not minding
Ray was also shedding tears on the bed. He felt so bad hearing his father calling him a failure but couldn't do anything about it.
Tears dropped from Jessica's eyes. She feels that she caused all this to Ray. She checked so well to ensure that no one was coming before she sneaked into the campus clinic.
" Ray, Ray!!" Jessica called him in a very faint voice.
Ray turned his neck around and saw Jessica with tears on her face. Meanwhile, Ray had broken tears all over his face.
Jessica moved to him quickly on the bed and held his hands for the first time.
" you are not a failure, Ray, you are a great mathematician just like your grandfather," Jessica said to Ray. They both laughed but tears didn't stop dropping from their faces.
" I know, I will be a great mathematician someday, will you help me?' Ray asked.
Jessica waited for some seconds and nodded, "Yes".
" go now, Jessica, my father will soon be here, please go, I will be fine," Ray said.
Jessica sneaked out of the campus clinic and moved to the campus garden pending when she would be called for expulsion. She should be in the classroom but she was not ready to face any bullying from her classmates. She has nobody except God. She bow her head and prayed.
