CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FOUR

CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FOUR

VIVIAN'S POV

It had been a while since i realized that Alpha Kyle saw Alpha Logan as an enemy. All they were doing was being unnecessarily nice towards each other. And when it came to Alpha Kyle, he was just keeping his friends close, and keeping his enemies closer.

I didn't expect Alpha Logan to agree for Amelia and I to go out like that. I was already bracing myself for something worse. I could smell the tension coming from Amelia as I opened my purse to deliver the next phase of my plan.

“Anybody care for some cookies?” I asked, as I turned back to ask the guards. I already knew about how much they craved for sugar. Alpha Logan had always put them on some kind of diet. They weren't allowed sugar. I could already see them swallow hard at the sight of the sugar cookies that I pulled out of my purse.

“Please promise you won't be telling Alpha Logan,” the one in front pleaded with his eyes fixed on my hands.

I nodded. “It's okay. You guys don't have to worry. I get how much you've been working for this whole thing. You deserve a break.” I said, handing them the cookies with a smile on my face. The took it, and Amelia, Miles and I, stood in a corner as we watched them eat the cookies.

“I didn't know they were going to fall for it so quickly,” Amelia whispered, and I giggled. It was all the moon goddess and my father's blessings. Nothing more.

I nodded in the direction of the guards, and she looked at them, as they fell to the ground one by one. She hurried over to their side immediately, pressing her hands over their neck.

“Are they still alive?” She asked, and I nodded, strapping Miles to my front as he giggled, watching the scene.

“They just fell into a deep sleep. There's nothing wrong with them. They'd be awake in a few hours, hallucinating.”

Amelia looked at me, and it looked like she adored me already. I couldn't stop myself from smiling as we walked through the pack gates, ordering a cab.
I wanted to bring my personal driver and car so bad, but I wanted to do everything without any kind of traces.

“We are here, ma'am,” the can driver said, and we got down from the cab, as Amelia and I argued back and forth on who was to pay. I finally let her, thankful that the weather wasn't hot all because of Miles.

The guard at the gate bowed as we walked through. I waited for any of them to stop us, but they didn't. It was almost as if they had been informed that we were going to be there.

“Alpha Kyle is in the throne room,” one of the guards said, even without us asking. “She will lead you there.” He concluded, pointing at one of the maids that were passing by.

Amelia looked uncomfortable with the whole thing. “Are you sure this is safe?” She asked, and I nodded. “It all feels like a trap. They already knew we were going to be here.”

I didn't want to admit the fact that I was slightly scared as well, but this was our only hope. This was the only way that we knew that we were going to be able to do a lot. He was more or less our only ticket to finishing PHASE ONE of the plan. Even Amelia didn't know the full details of the plan just yet, but she was still willing.

I nodded at the guard instead, and allowed the girl lead us in. She opened the huge mahogany doors, stepping back as we entered. I held my breath, waiting for some guards to seize us. But there was nothing. Even the chairs of the council elders and chiefs were empty.

“I have been expecting you,” Alpha Kyle called out from his throne, where different woman massaged his chest and feet.

“You knew we were coming?” I asked, plastering a sweet smile on my face.

“Alpha Logan told me he had managed to seize you in his pack. But I knew you weren't that stupid. You didn't take after your father when it came to matters of the heart.”

I didn't know if I was supposed to take that last line as some sort of compliment. But he didn't see me as stupid. That was good.

If only Alpha Logan was able to see what was going on at that point, he was going to have a heart attack. Alpha Kyle was practically his best friend. But there he was, getting betrayed over nothing.

“Isn't that Amelia?” Alpha Kyle asked, and she nodded. He cocked his head to the side.

“You have already found out the truth then.”

“Yes,” the both of us answered. But we just need to get proper information to back everything out.”

If he knew the truth, then he was supposed to know what was actually happening. I waited for him to tell, but he was quiet.

“It is not in my position to tell you that. You can find that but yourself. Now, what do you need?”

I took a deep breath. “Alpha Kyle, we both know that you are not a huge fan of Alpha Logan. So we need to discuss.”

I waited for him to tell me that I could say anything in front of his concubines. But he didn't. With one finger, he managed to send them away. He leaned forward.

“What do you want to discuss?”

“We need to infiltrate the pack,” I said, and I watched his face for the littlest bit of reaction. The small smirk at the tips of his lips was the approval that I needed.

“So you need my help with men,” he completed immediately, and I nodded. I knew that we could work together.

Amelia nodded. “We need the best of your men. The ones that Alpha Logan has never come across. The ones that can take out the strongest of his men. We need to lower his pride, and kick him down to his knees.”

He waved his finger at her. “I love how you think . Where have you been all this while?”

Being maltreated by Derek and forced to leave, suddenly finding out that my father had left me a fortune, and finding out that I had a child that I'm forced to raise on my own.

“I've been around,” I said, “Dilly-dallying in business.”

“And how has it been?” He asked, getting interested.

“Very well, Alpha,” I said, bowing. I was willing to give him the maximum respect if he was willing to help. I knew that he hadn't agreed to help us just yet.

His eyes rested on Miles. “Your baby?” He asked, and I nodded. “Derek's as well?”

I shook my head. There was no way I was agreeing that Miles was Derek's baby anywhere in the world. He wasn't worth it just yet.

“He's mine and mine alone,” I said, and I could feel the hurt coming from Amelia. I didn't want to look at her at that point.

Alpha Kyle nodded, understanding. “So let me get this straight. All you need is men to bring the pack down to it's knees? To destroy Logan?” He asked, and I smirked, nodding.

“Then, men you shall get.”

“How soon?” I asked, trying not to sound too urgent or impatient.

“Just watch how the drama plays out,” he said, and I nodded, immediately feeling like we could rely on him.

We headed out of the pack, heading back home. The guards were still asleep at the entrance. Amelia and I giggled as we walked past them. By the time we walked back into the pack, Alpha Logan. Was waiting for the both of us.

My heart started racing, for fear that he had seen the guards outside.

“You are late,” he said, with a frown on his face.

I tipped my chin. “I'm sorry we spent extra time.”

“To your room! Now!” He thundered, and I went to my room meekly. There was no need of trying to show myself when I could just be on the sly. I knew that he might have been on the top of the world, feeling that he had finally gotten a hold of me. Feeling like he had finally put me on a leash.

The game had just begun.
