CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY ONE

CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY ONE

DEREK'S POV

I laid there waiting for at least one person to come pick me up. They all literally left me on the floor. Anna was the last person to leave the room. So immediately Amelia left, I already felt like there was no hope for me. It was over. Literally.

Thankfully, one of the maids walked past and managed to help me get back on the bed after they had changed the whole thing. I hated the way they all wrinkled their noses because of the smell coming from the room. But it was true. The place was actually smelling. And there was nothing I could really do about it. I couldn't move, I couldn't even wrinkle my nose if I wanted to do that myself. It was almost impossible. So I really didn't understand how I was able to say Vivian's name in front of Anna.

I couldn't help but wonder why they hadn't brought Vivian to see me. Or if she was indeed around, she would have come to see me herself right? She wouldn't just abandon me like that. It just wasn't right.

I knew that I had hurt her. Countless times. I hit her and I mistreated her and all. I doubted her when I was supposed to have all the faith in the world in her. But there I was, practically making a fool of myself on the bed while I stared at the ceiling with my hands stiffly beside me. I needed to move more than anything in the world. I needed to go down and see her if they weren't going to bring her to me. I tried one more time, with everything in me to even move a muscle while the maid was tidying up the whole place. She turned to look at me apologetically.

“I'm sorry Alpha,” she muttered. “You wouldn't move even if you wanted to. It won't be long till your father hands your pack over to Mark.”

I wanted to growl. There was no way my father would do that. But then, Mark was his favorite child. He would have been able to hand the pack over to him. I tried swallowing, but that didn't work as well. It felt like my throat was closing up. I felt the saliva drop through the sides of my face. The maid screwed her face in disgust as she manages to wipe the whole thing off. I felt more than useless at that point. But I didn't want to do anything. It wasn't like I could anyway.

But one thing I knew I was going to be, was patient. I was definitely going to be patient until Vivian decided that it was time for her to come and see me.

LOGAN'S POV
There was nothing that made me happier than when my men delivered. The joy in my heart when Mark came to inform me that they had come with Vivian was indescribable. She was finally there… in my pack. I could finally have my eyes on her without any kind of interruptions. I had walked back to the throne room immediately, with Mark following right behind me. I knew that he had his questions. And I wasn't ready to answer all of them.

After all, he now has a new mate. He was supposed to be paying attention to her. It was quite shocking when he said that he wanted to take Anna in, but I also wanted to believe that he had his reasons.

“Father,” he called out, not even surprising me one bit.

“What is it?” I asked, turning back. He looked quite shocked that I replied to him in that way.

“Why did you ask your men to bring Vivian here?” He asked, and I shook my head.

“It's nothing for you to worry about,” I said, and he frowned even more. I knew that he was going to have his questions. Well, bless his soul, he wasn't the smartest of my kids. I knew that if it was Derek he would have been able to put two and two together.

Fuck, I hated it when I had to compare the both of them to each other.

His stupidity, arrogance and inability to think sometimes was one of the main reasons why I couldn't even hand the pack over to him. He hadn't proved his worth yet. His wolf was still extremely weak, and he didn't spend any amount of time even training. He would rather sleep around with all the maids in the pack.

Classic Mark.

“Aren't you supposed to be with Anna?” I asked, and he frowned.

I didn't want to ask him why he did that. Because I knew he was going to ask me why I was acting so nice towards Amelia. And I didn't want to give him any kind of explanation. Not now. He wasn't ever going to take it maturely. He wouldn't have any problem going to the place where Vivian stood to sing it to her ears.

I had no idea if she knew about it in the long run. But if she did, she wouldn't have been here. I knew how much she cherished her family. She would have been fighting like her life depended on it even if she was still weak or so he hoped.

If Derek had indeed said her name even in his position, then she was probably going to have two roles in the pack. She was probably going to help him get better. Saying her name was practically just the beginning then. Soon, he'd be walking over to go and meet her, I hoped.

But first, she had to be where I was. I had to know where she was, and I had to keep my eyes on her at all points. If she got a whiff of what was actually happening, then she was going to be dangerous. And so was Amelia… if they managed to get together. That was the one thing I had to stop from happening at all costs.
