Chapter 32 Get up!

Ayden took long strides to his room and entered, banging the door. Eve, who just came out of the bathroom after having a shower, looked at him in fear.

He looked at her as If he would kill her then and there. She stood frozen at the place she was before and looked down. Something terrible has happened or is going to happen.

Walking closer to her, he was staring at her continuously. She curled her fingers tightly in fear.

“You did it on purpose?” He asked. His tone was very calm but the way he was looking at Eve was enough to make her shiver.

“W.. what?”

“Playing dumb, are we?” He asked again, this time the tone of his voice, much higher.

She just looked down, not knowing how to answer him. She wasn’t sure what he knew, hence remaining silent seemed better.

“You took pills from Freya?”

And she thought as if her world collapsed. He knew about that and now she was going to die.

“No… She is lying.” She answered, composing herself.

He smirked, staring at her while her whole body was trembling in fear. He walked towards her while she took steps back. Thinking about what he did the last time, made her even more scared.

“Okay then, let me ask Laura about her.” He was about to walk away from her when she stopped him by holding his hand.

“She doesn’t know anything. I.. I’m so sorry.” And she started crying.

Ayden moved closer to her and raised her chin so as to look at her. His anger was only getting worse seeing her cries.

“Why the fuck did you do that?” He roared, making her tremble.

“I didn’t want to be…pregnant so soon. I was…scared that you’d…be angry..” She was about to say something else when Ayden’s words stopped her.

“Sit down… on your knees.” He commanded and she looked at him. She didn’t want to make him even more mad, hence she sat down on the ground, sobbing.

Ayden began pacing in the room while Eve peeked at him secretly in terror. Then out of the blue, he sat down with her, looking at her in fury.

She looked away from him, her breathing heavy. He pulled her hair, looking at her. She held his hand to stop him, but he pulled even more harshly.

She groaned in pain but he didn’t stop.

“You had the audacity to plan something like this!! I thought finally everything will be fine between us!! But you!!” He yelled at the trembling girl in front of him.

Then, leaving her hair, he got up while Eve was weeping hard. But little did she know the worst was yet to come.

He unbuckled his belt and gave her one last fiery look. Eve saw him and got scared.

“Please, Ayden…. I promise you, I’ll never.. defy you again. Forgive me, one last time. Ayden, please.” She begged her with tears in her eyes.

“If I fucking hear another word from you, even I don’t know what I’d do! Be quiet!” He screamed at her which hushed her. All he could think of was to punish her in a way she’d never even think of doing something like this.

He raised his belt In the air and then directed it towards her. The belt struck her and she pressed her mouth from her hands. She knew he’d do whatever he said before.

And with that, he continued hitting her with the belt and she bit her hand to suppress the pain. When the pain became unbearable, she fell on the floor.

“You need to learn a lesson!”

He kicked her back and she winced in pain. She tried to stop her voice but couldn’t this time. The pain was too much to bear. She felt as if someone kicked the life out of her.

She turned to his side and held his leg, begging him to stop. But in no way he could be stopped today.

“Please, Ayden…forgive me.” She said, her face glistening with tears and sweat. He looked away from her for a bit and then again looking at her, sat next to her.

He made her sit again and slapped her hard across the face. She felt she’d faint any time. She was panting heavily and her heart beat as if it would tear out from her chest.

“You think just because I’m so nice to you, you can do anything! You just wait!”

He said and slapped her again. Eve was scared but now she was in anger. She wasn’t an animal who he wanted to be tamed. Her status was even less than theirs.

He was about to slap her again when she grabbed his hand, stopping him.

“Stop it. I said stop it! Don’t you dare touch me!” She shouted with all the strength she had left.

“Oh, so you got your strength back!” He let out a sarcastic smile and then punched her in the face. Her nose started to bleed.

“What did I…do so wrong…to deserve this?” She said, more like asking herself the question.

He stood up and kicked her again on the back while she coughed.

“You know exactly what you did so wrong!” He roared and stepped on her hand, pressing harshly while she winced in pain.

Now, Eve thought even dying would be a better option. Even if the NSF came and saved her, the scars he left on her life will never fade.

“I.. did nothing wrong. D.. did you ask…if I was…ready or not?” She said which sounded more like a whisper. Thinking that she was there for 2 days only gave her some strength. And at that time, it didn’t even matter. Even if he’d kill her today, she was very glad about it.

Her views angered him even more. He continuously kicked her. Every inch of her body hurt as hell.

“I’ll kill you!” He gritted his teeth in anger while saying that.

“I never…wanted to have a…baby with you in the first place…and I’ll make sure…it never happens.” She said again, provoking him to the last level.

He grabbed her hand and pressed it tightly, making her stand. Her legs were wobbly. Then, he punched her again on her face and her upper lip got torn.

Eve felt hazy after that. Every voice was inaudible now. Slowly, everything turned black but she was still feeling that terrible pain.

He threw her directly on the bed and moved away from her. Then, he took his belt from the ground and hit her with it numerous times.

And now even the pain stopped. She passed out. But he didn’t stop and kept on hitting her.

Suddenly, his gaze shifted to her who wasn’t reacting anymore. The belt fell from his hand. He jumped on the bed and touched her face which was badly bruised while her nose and lips were bleeding.

He stroked her shoulder calling out her name to wake her up but she didn’t.

“Don’t fucking act! Get up!” He shouted aloud. When she didn’t wake up, suddenly he got worried.

“Eve! Eve! Get up. I said, get up!” He shouted, while shaking her off, but to no help.

He picked her up in his arms and ran outside. Running downstairs, mom saw him but he ignored her as he was in a hurry to take her to the hospital.

“What has happened to her?” Mom screamed once she saw her in that condition.

Bryan also came outside, because of mom’s scream and the moment he saw Eve, his blood boiled in anger. His brother crossed every limit. That innocent girl was in his brother’s arms, beaten up.

He ran towards Ayden who was walking out of the house. If he would’ve done something like this in some other place, he’d be arrested then and there. But just because it was their territory, no one could do anything to them.

Bryan sat in the front while Ayden sat in the back seat, holding Eve in his arms. He drove the car as fast as he could.

“You fucking deserve no one! Look, what you’ve done to her!” Bryan seethed and wished that his brother would be punished.

While Ayden just looked at Eve in worry. He desperately wished for her to be safe. The thought of her leaving him was making him breathless.

He knew he screwed up big time and she will hate him forever. But he can live with her hate but not without her. At a moment like this, he realised how important she was for him.

He remained silent, looking at his wife, praying for her to be okay.
