The Truth

The Truth
Evelyn's Point of view

As planned, Melinda and I were able to kidnap that old hag and hide her so far away that no one was going to track her down.

Today she has no choice but to tell the truth, or else I'm going to lose my temper and kill her. I'd deal with the consequences later, but I won't let her play her games with me. I've had enough of her nonsense.
“Evelyn, I'm begging you, my dear sweet sister… Please control yourself and don’t do anything stupid, please?”
Melinda joined her hands together, pleading with me.
“If she doesn't behave, then I'm not promising anything… I'm going to kill her..” My tone was sharp with rage. I can't bear the sight of that woman. I swear, if she pushes my limits, I won't spare her.
“Please think of your husband and future children… That woman is cunning, and she might kill you.” Melinda’s voice was calm, but her words hit me right on my chest, sending a sharp pain cutting through my whole being.
“My children lost their lives, and I can never be a mother ever again…”
A sharp pain cut through my chest at the memories of them. My cute beautiful babies, I won't ever see them ever again…
Melinda froze, mentally shocked by my words.
“Evelyn, I'm so sorry I didn't know I __.”
She gasped, her voice laced with shock.
“It's okay.”
I blinked back the tears that threatened to well out of my eyes…
"I'm so sorry, Evelyn; I really didn't mean to open your wounds… I was just ___.”
“Don't worry about it; understand… It's just hard to believe I'd never see my cute twins anymore…
“And if you are wondering what happened to them… Arthur's mother was the woman who killed them in cold blood, and because of her, I had another miscarriage and lost yet another baby...” The tears I've been trying to hold stream down my cheeks like a flowing river. I just can't forget all these things or this pain. I just need to find a way to make it a part of me and try to move on with my life.
“I'm so sorry.”
Melinda pulled me into a tight embrace, and I wrapped my arms around her, trying hard to keep my emotions under control.
I've lost a lot because of Veronica, but I'm not willing to lose the little I had because of Priscar. I won't allow her to ruin what is left of me. That I promise, I will protect myself and Arthur at any cost.
“I think we should get going.”
I forced out a chuckle as I moved out of her tight embrace. Standing here and pitying myself won't help me anywhere. I need to take action and make sure no one harms me ever again.

Melinda’s Point Of view

I've always thought I've been through a lot in life, but what Evelyn has gone through was far worse. I swear she's the strongest person I've ever seen because even after all this, she still has the strength to keep going.
I'd support her in any way I can and destroy that woman. How I wish I had found her sooner; maybe I'd have been there for her. To think she went through all that pain sent a sharp slicing pain in my chest; she didn't deserve any of it.
I sucked in a sharp breath, closing my eyes and trying to pull my emotions under control.
I need to face the woman who ruined my life and separated my sister from me, and I can't afford to lose control. I need to stay as calm as possible.
Feeling ready, I began making my way inside the basement, where Evenly was already waiting for me.
Priscar was seated on the chair with both her hands and feet tied behind her, and I guess it was because of the sedative spirit that she was still unconscious.
“Should I wake her up?”
Evelyn asked, her voice barely above a whisper, but the hatred breath was slicing, and she couldn't even control it.
“Sure…”
I said quietly. A smirk spread across her lips as she walked over to the chair; a few steps from it was a bucket full of cold water with ice.
She yanked up the bucket, positioning it to her, and poured all the cold water on Priscar, causing her to jerk out of her deep slumber.
Priscar gasped, her eyes widening in shock.
“What the fuck do you think you are doing, you asshole!”
Priscar cursed; she tried to shrug out of the chair, but we tied her so tightly that she couldn't do anything but sit there.
“Okay, listen here! I'm going to try to be as nice as I can, and I will need you to tell me what I want to hear, or else you are fucking dead.”
Evelyn pulled a nearby chair and sat opposite Priscar, who was now drenched and shivering from a cold. She could die for all I care.
“I know you didn't sleep with Arthur that night, and I also know you are blackmailing him. Tell me, where the fuck is the video you are using to blackmail him?”
Evelyn's voice is impatient as she throws her a sharp glare…

Priscar let out a scoff. “Oww, my poor little baby! Is it too hard for you to believe that your husband cheated on you with me, or don't you want to accept that I'm going to give him something that you can't?”
Priscar's voice is laced with mockery as she flashes a smile at Evelyn.
I balled my hand into a tight fist, trying hard to keep my emotions under control.
“Don't do anything, Evelyn; calm down!”
I muttered softly; she's wearing earbuds, and I knew she was hearing me.
Evelyn unexpectedly laughed, but I wasn't foolish enough not to hear the boiling rage beneath it.
My eyes widened in shock as she lifted her hand, and she punched Priscar so hard against the face, and she grabbed both of her chins, tightening her grip around them.
“Listen to me very carefully because I won't repeat it ever again.” Her stern voice echoed into the silent room.
“Arthur is my husband, my fucking husband, and if you think you are going to take him from me and I'd watch, you have another thing coming. I am going to kill you and bury you in my backyard. I will plant a lot of apples on your grave, and I'd enjoy eating them with no remorse. Don't fucking play with my brains…”
A proud smile stretched across my lips. This is exactly what this witch deserves, and I couldn't be happier to watch her suffer like that.
But my happiness was cut short as a group of men suddenly rushed through the door, and my brows furrowed to see Arthur rushing behind them.
