Chapter:66 You can't have it All

Kate POV

Was that not Zena I saw In that car?

Or are my eyes playing games with me?

I tried visualizing the person I saw earlier to be very certain that it was Zena,

While glaring at the empty road that leads to the exit of the school campus one of my friends asks,

“Kate are you okay?” Glenn enquired while looking in the same direction she presume Kate is gazing at but could not see a thing.

The car had long gone, it is just an empty clean road, and the black and yellow stripes at the edge of both side of the tarred road including the masquerade trees that was seen but no soul.

My sight can not deceive me because can I tell the physic shape of Zena and I can recognize her even in my unconscious mood.

Glenn was confused by Kate's sudden reaction, which she knows her friend is a werewolf and Glenn thought that perhaps Kate might have seen something, and conceivably that could be the reason why Kate is glaring and said nothing.

My intuition can not hoodwink me, that must be Zena and I need to find out why she is here.

It could be I'm reckoning and sloping on this Zena whole thing too much,

Cody can not have lied to me about deleting every detail about Zena's admission and her so-called freak clown friend,

Was that her name again?

“Maria !” Kate loudly murmurs Maria's name as she evilly bites her lower lip.

So I might be taking this too much or possibly my foresight is playing me.

Kate and her friend got into the car and the moment they left the car parking lot,

Drake ran down to the parking lot where Kate had left and he saw Kate's car driving out of the road that leads to the exit way.

He was devastated and blamed himself for not doubling fast to get to Kate before she left.

He stood there for a while, and James joined him and said,

“You can't afford to follow Kate around like a puppy.

She doesn't want you menh!

Get a grip and Get a life!”

James taps him at the back as he makes him hop into his truck and Victor hop into Drake's truck too and they drove out of the school.

However, it is a new session in Charvy University's school calendar, and the school has gotten a new vice chancellor, and she is a female, religious fellow.

She was assigned to transmit the school from the dark side and she intends to wipe out any quirk that comes her way or the school.

So, things have been quite different and all the staff is forced to strengthen up while the evils ones laid low for now.

Up to date, nobody knew what killed Mr.Gibbs rather his death has been tagged as satanic revenge on him because of how tragic Gibbs's death was.

Although there was a time rumor had it, that it was Kate that killed him.

She was arrested but bailed out by her lawyer who plead for the case to be taken to the court for proper investigation.

A few months later, the case was closed, after a thorough investigation, no trace was found that showed Kate is guilty and she was discharged and set free from the accusation.

Drake and Kate are in the same faculty but not the same department when Drake had found out that Kate is actually innocent of Mr. Gibbs's death, he blamed himself for not being a supportive friend and trusting her during that time.

For weeks and Days, Drake has been trying so hard to get Kate to forgive him, but she has been difficult to get to and her heart hardens to forgive Drake.

It's a new week, although still in the middle of the new week and the day is about leaving for sundown but the hot climate was not making it easy on the skin as If we are in the rein of summer.

Kate's lectures are over for the day, she is in the rush to get to her friend as she hurriedly left the class and was double walking down the hall Isle to exit the building.

“Kate wait!” she turned and saw who was calling and return to her previous motion

“Kate I said wait!!”

Drake curtly hollered her name as he walk like his chasing after her and she finally halts from walking while Drake ran up to her,

“What is it, Drake?

What do you want?

I told you to give me some space to think about us” she openly requested,

“I need to talk to you, Kate?” Drake groanly plead

“About What Drake?

That you're sorry!

Fine, can I go now?”

She address a snobby attitude one that Drake is familiar with and he glared at her having so many thoughts in his mind, then he later said,

“Can we talk in private?

Not here every one is watching”

Drake requested while he gaze left and right as he also took notice of the students that were gawking them.

Kate slim her eyes while she sneered and said,

“I got things to do as you can see.”

she walked as she bypassed Drake and left while Drake turned glaring at her till she left the building.

Kate reached her car and her girls were already waiting for her in the car, immediately she got to the car her friends unfreeze their position as Kate pressed the key button to unlock the car.

She got to the car front door and was about to hop in the car when she saw a huge crowd at the billboard post side and she ask,

“What's happening there?” one of her friends answered,

“School just pasted the new student names they accepted for the scholarship,” Glenn ask the current girl that had answered Kate,

“You made mention of your sister applying for the scholarship exam,

So is her name on the list?”

The current girl was shy to answer the question because she had bragged about her sister getting the scholarship and she replied, in a shy tone,

“Her name is not on this list, but I heard there will be more names coming soon.”

Kate relaxed all this while her friends talk about the new student.

She believed that Zena's name is nowhere close to the list because she has dealt with that.

With all enthusiasm she said,

“So girl are you thinking what I'm thinking?”

Glenn answered,

“Fresh in mate loading!” all three of them scream chorusly.

Then, Kate turn on the ignition and drove to the security post for checking out.

Lisa is the name of the girl who had spoken about the list and her sister is not among the listed candidates.

She sat in the back seat checking through her phone when she hollered,

“Zena!, the best student on scholarship award!”

The moment Lisa yelled the name, Zena!

Kate lost consciousness from the starring which made the car make a high pitch screeching sound because she had smacked the brake of the car giving rise to the two ladies to tremble as they quiver severely.
