Chapter:64 Get Ready Life is just a Circle

Zena'POV

Did I just read through Bee's mind?

And how did she know, that the lady is pregnant?

I watched them, as they resist each other which activates my adrenalin to go see what is going on there.

But I had thought again not to get in anybody's way so I kept calm while I continued staring at them but I busted when I heard a knock at the door.

I knew she might be my new friend's nanny, so without delay, I rush to get to the door while I was still carrying Bee.

“You!” Christe yelled as she was shocked to see Zena.

I indeed recognize her, she is a friend of Richard but what could she be doing here?

Christe was surprised to see Zena holding her madam pet and the thought of their last episode reflected on her mind.

The horrible flashes of images played as the fear of Zena spreads through her heart and she quickly carried Bee from me.

I was never surprised about her reaction because probably she must see something, but that's by the way, what got me worried, is her presence here,

I thought I have ended my past, by leaving all the traces behind.

However, I never stopped looking at her, and the same with her, while she doubled, walks her step, and entered the apartment that was five blocks away from Mercy's apartment.

I watched her disappear out of my sight before I close the door, but that did not stop me from wondering what will be her next action,

Did she know if I have anything to do with Richard's death?

Did she know something that will implicate me?

I think the best option is to leave here this minute,

I was ruminating in my mind when the telephone call from the quivered me,

It rang consistently then I keep,

“Hello, Zena! ” Mercy from the call end hollered, and the call was disconnected the moment Zena picked up and she redials the number,

The number would ring a bit and disconnect, and she continued redialing the number but it was not connecting.

Struggle with it made her panic the more and more worrisome mark appeared on her face that her colleague took notice of it and said,

“Relax, she will call back, you don't have to worry about anything.” Gaff, Mercy's colleague try convincing her to relax and her phone rang,

“Hello Zena!” you shocked me, what's happening there?”

From the other call end, Zena said,

“I'm sorry, the phone got disconnected, but everything is fine!

Bee is gone, her nanny had picked her up.”

“Alright just checking up on you,

Hope you are well and how were you able to call back?” Mercy enquired,

“Yes! I'm good, I just press the redial button!” I replied although I had made up my mind to leave the house,

but that moment I had replied,

Yes!

made me have a twist of feeling not to leave, I know why I'm leaving is because I fear what will happen when she finds out about my real identity,

But for the main time, I can still stay because she is all I got now, and I have no place to go,

Speaking of that, I just thought back, that I have some currency I need to convert and the letter from the school, I also need to confirm what date I'm expected to report to the school.

I returned to the bedroom while I started searching for my purse, I could not find the small purse I had kept with the letter including the pedal my mom had given me.

I was at six and seven because I could not recall where I had kept it.

Remembering I had no money also broke me into pieces that I had no option but to wait for Mercy to return.

A loud whistle

“Get your thick fat ass out of the way!”

The reckless driving noise woke me up, at that moment I had thought that Mercy was home, but while I was still in bed,

I could still hear their cheering voice from a distance through the window which sprang my curiosity to see how come the quiet neighborhood has turned into a place thugs.

I glare through the window and notice a party was going down a few blocks from Mercy's apartment.

This was quite disturbing because their noise woke up me, and the next minute, I saw Mercy's car pulling in at the garage side.

“Hello, I'm home!” Mercy announced feeling very happy for such a long time that she is back home and has someone waiting for her at home.

I walked to the living room and saw Mercy holding a flat box written,

Pizza Hut!

The flashy box got my attention that Mercy had my purse I could not take notice of that until she said,

“Do someone here, got an appointment with charvy University?”Mercy declared openly,

“What!,

Do you know about my school?” I was surprised to ask Mercy,

Mercy had thought that Zena was against her checking through her stuff and she stammers while trying so hard to convince Zena how she knew about it,

“I was surprised to see the purse in the car, and I have never known its-”

“You don't have to explain all that! I was only surprised that you know about Charvy university.

So since you know about my school will you might take me there because I have no idea where the school is.”

Mercy was extremely happy, for a moment it feel like I have finally got my daughter back, and I'm not ready to give up on her again,

It was my dream to be the one to take my daughter to school on her first day of college, and since I have been given this chance, I will guide her with all my life and I won't afford to lose the chance anymore no matter what.

Mercy and Zena had the pizza and they have gone to their various room for bedtime.

Mercy could not hide the smile on her face, after having the conversation with Zena concerning adopting her and Zena had given the approval for her to be her mom.

It was a trojan night, although it was late and the party has ended including the noisy crowd had all gone.

Zena had laid for minutes probably for about forty minutes but her consciousness is nowhere close to sleep because she could not get enough of her big day tomorrow.

So she smiles glaring at the ceiling wishing and imagining how to start a new life until she snoozes off.
