Chapter 40 ~ Permission

“Are they calling for the reason I think they are?” Callum asked through the pack link

I nodded.

“Yes, but I am making them say it.” I smiled

“Well, the reason we need you to visit is because Rosa and Zarina will be officially become part of our pack at the ceremony tomorrow night.” Alexzander advised

“Well, that is wonderful I am glad, but why does that mean I need to be there?” I asked

“Well Lucan the reason we would like you to attend is because they will become the official female Beta and Luna of the pack and I think they would both love to have you there.” Dixon spoke up

“Hmm I see, well maybe is there any other reason I should attend?” I asked

“Okay I am just going to say it…” Alexander paused, “Lucan I would like you permission to marry your daughter Zarina!” He spoke

“I would also like your permission to marry Rosa!” Dixon spoke as well

“Well, that was not so hard was it.” I paused, “Well the truth is you do not need my permission, but I am glad you asked.”

“Your welcome Lucan.” They both spoke

“Yes, of course you have my permission to ask them.” I paused, after the wedding how about we talk about an official pack alliance between both our pack.”

“I think that would be a great idea I was going to suggest it as well.” Alexzander advised

“Marvelous then I will see you tomorrow then I will be bringing along and four guards as well as Callum my beta and his mate Amelia.”

“Ok we will see you tomorrow and this is a surprise they have no idea what we have planned oh also please bring something nice to wear you and Callum will be walking both you daughters up the aisle tomorrow.” Alexzander advised

“No problem see you all tomorrow.” I spoke

“Yes, see you all then.”

I disconnected the call.

“Well Callum my friend it looks like both my daughters are getting married tomorrow we need to pick four warriors to come with us as inform Amelia as she will be going as well.” I advised Callum

“That is wonderful…” Callum paused, “How about we go to Luella’s room and get the doctor to examine her before we go.” He advised

“Ok let’s go I will send a link to the doctor.” I advised

“Doc, can you come to Luella’s new room on the second floor the Beta and I will meet you there.” I spoke through the link

“Yes, Alpha I will be there shortly.” he advised

“Ok the doc is on his way there lets head over now.” I paused, “After we are done with her let’s go see Curtis.” I advised Callum

“Yes Alpha.” Callum paused, “I agree we cannot put it off any longer.” He sighed

“I know my friend I do not envy your position.” I advised

“The same to you alpha.” He advised

“We will leave at first light tomorrow and leave Delta Donovan in charge of the pack while we are away.” I advised

We made it to the room and the doc was waiting patiently but I could tell he was nervous.

“Alpha not to question you but why is the Luna I a different room with a guard posted outside?” He paused, “Also why did they not let me in?” He asked

“Well doc I have not told the pack yet other than the male and female Beta’s and Delta’s these guards and myself no one else knows this.” I paused, “Luella conspired with another pack member to murder my daughter Zarina.”

“That cannot be Alpha!” He spoke

“Oh, but it is true and that is why both Zarina and Rosa are no longer here.” Callum advised

“Also, she is no longer considered the Luna of this pack.” I advised

“Why would she do it…” He paused, “It does not seem rational.” He advised

“Oh, it is not rational she claims because my daughter called her Lu and that is not a feminine name also Luella states that my daughter is bad luck.” I advised

“Yes, you are right Alpha, we should probably test her for a mental disorder.” He paused, “Is that why I am here Alpha?” He asked

“No that is not the main reason for you being here the main reason is to determine if she is pregnant.” I paused, “Just before I discovered her treachery she went into heat, and we had sex, so I need to know.”

“Ok that will not be a problem I will send for a nurse to bring me the portable ultrasound machine.” He advised

“Thank you doctor.” I spoke

“Nurse please come to the second floor of the Alpha’s mansion and bring the ultrasound machine as well as vitamins for a pregnant woman as soon as possible.”

“Right away doctor.”

“While we wait for the nurse can I ask you a question Alpha.” Doc spoke

“Sure, what would you like to know?” I asked

“Where are Zarina and Rosa at right now?” He asked

“They are in another pack now and they have found there mates.” I advised

“Well, that is great…” he paused, “I know Rosa is well over twenty-one but if memory serves Zarina only just turned eighteen how has she found her mate?” he asked in confusion

“Well, that is a long story, but we can talk about that after here comes the nurse.”

When the nurse walked up, I noticed how young she looked she was between twenty-eight and thirty. I also noticed how beautiful she is I felt my wolf Asher sit up and his tail started to move slightly. She reminded me of someone she looked familiar.

“What is up with you Asher?” I asked

“I do not know but I think we need to talk to her alone later to find out.” He advised

I sensed something about her I do not know what, but she smelt good like rose blossoms and I was confused. I only felt like this once before, but the moon goddess only gives one soul mate to a wolf not two I thought.

“Hello Alpha…” She bowed

“Why do you look so familiar?” I asked

“Well, that is probably because my mother was also a nurse, she was the nurse that held Zarina for the first time and the former Luna’s hand at the end.” She paused, “My father is also your top warrior outside of the Beta and Delta.” She smiled with pride

Both Asher and I were stunned.

“Who are we examining?” She asked

I could tell she was nervous, and I frowned for some reason I do not like that she is nervous around me.

“The patient Luella long story short she is a traitor to the pack who tried to assassinate Zarina, she is no longer the Luna, but she may also be carrying the next heir to the pack, so it is complicated.” I sighed

“Okay Alpha…” She paused, “I never trusted her, and I have not liked her for a few years now Alpha the last few years Zarina has been coming to us for first aid supplies. I was getting worried because of the frequent trips to the nurse’s station but I did not ask questions. I am sorry Alpha I wish I had.” She spoke

“Even her voice was beautiful.” Asher advised

I agreed with him.

“Okay before we go in you need to be careful, I will have the guards come in to make sure she does not try anything, and I will go in first.”

I motioned for the guards to open the door.

“Back away from the door Lu I am coming in to have the doctor examine you.” I spoke through the link

“Yes… Alpha.”

The guards opened the door and Luella was on the other side of the room waiting for me to enter with her arms crossed glaring at me. I saw the shock on her face when she saw Callum the doctor and a nurse enter the room.

“Hello Doctor.” I smiled sweetly

“Hello Lu sit on the bed and lie down I will examine you there.” He frowned at me

“Who the fuck do you think you are I am your Luna do not be disrespectful.” I growled

The doctor looked shocked at my outburst.

“You are no longer the Luna you are nothing but a traitor who tried to kill my daughter.” Lucan advised

I growled at him.

“Whatever.”

I turned and climbed on the bed lying down not looking at any of them.

“Lift your shirt over your stomach and I will give you an ultrasound to see if you are pregnant after all.” The doctor advised

I did as he asked, and I heard him walk over to the bed. They set the machine on the bedside table, and I heard them turn a few dials and felt a cold gel on my stomach.

“Fuck that is cold.” I growled
