Chapter 91 - Yours, Daddy.

ROSALINE MASSIMO

I was dressed in a beautiful, diamond studded white dress that completely blew my mind. I had worn lots of dresses in my lifetime but this... This one was just spectacular and outstanding! It was stunning!

I could feel my own heart pounding hard within my ribcages as I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked breathtaking in this dress.

"It's so beautiful!" I whispered and a blush crept up my cheeks as I wondered what exactly the occasion was for tonight. What exactly was Russo planning?

My stomach tightened with sweetness as I thought of him officially asking me out. That... That would drive me crazy.

For a moment, I wondered what Melinda would say if she saw this dress on me. She would definitely go crazy over it! I should call her soon too. It had been a while since we last talked.

I looked away from the mirror and picked up the diamond jewellery set Russo had given to me for my birthday.

I accessorised myself and twirled in front of the mirror, cracking a smile at my reflection and doing a small dance before moving to the heels in the box. There was a small note in the box.

I picked it up and my smile turned bigger at the handwritten note.

"I love you more than the stars could ever love the moon, Cara."

I kissed the note before dropping it and picking up the heels. I wore the heels and picked up the purse. I looked gorgeous!!

I took one final look at myself to ensure I was all set before I stepped out of my room. I walked slowly with my insides brimming with excitement.

Every step I took made my excitement climb up a notch higher. I stopped outside, my gaze on the black whose door was held open by one of Russo's men.

I looked around to see if Russo was around but he wasn't.

"I'll be driving you ma'am" the man holding the door said with a quite distressed look on his face.

"Oh, thank you" I whispered and got into the car. The car door was gently slammed shut.

I pulled my phone out of my purse as the guy got into the driver's seat and revved the car into motion.

"What's your name? I don't see you around often " I said to the guy driving.

"I am Karl. I am usually dealing with stuffs outside the house" he replied and I nodded thoughtfully.

"Is anything wrong, Karl? You don't look like you are in a great mood."

"I am fine, Miss. Massimo. Very much fine." He replied in a way that told me he didn't want to be questioned about what was troubling him.

I pressed my lips into a thin line, understanding him. After all, I wasn't close to him and opening up to someone he wasn't close to might feel awkward for him.

Only a few minutes had passed before my phone buzzed with a message. I checked the phone screen and my eyes lit up seeing it was a message from Russo himself.

A smile parted my lips as I opened the message.

'You love the dress? I should be home in about half an hour to pick you up, Love'

That message should have made me feel sweet but only if I had gotten the message about ten minutes ago when I was in my room.

I felt my heart immediately beating harder than usual but this time it wasn't from lovely feelings, it was from fear and panic.

I swallowed down hard, looking to the driver's seat.

I had to keep my fear in check. I could not let this Karl, whoever he was, know that I already knew he wasn't from Russo.

My palms immediately started feeling sweaty in the air conditioned car.

I immediately began typing the message as fast as I could. "You didn't send someone to pick me up? Someone else picked me up already, a guy named Karl. Russo, you are not the type to joke around but I badly hope this is a bad joke on your side." I sent the message almost shakily and looked at Karl through the mirror. His eyes met mine and I immediately looked away.

'Calm down, Rosaline. Calm down, Rosaline. This isn't the first time you are getting kidnapped.' I whispered to myself but something told me that this particular kidnap was going to be my worst experience, something told me I should be scared of this kidnapping.

My phone buzzed with another message from Russo and I hastily opened it.

"I will never crack a joke that isn't funny, Cara. Are you wearing the diamond set I gave to you? I am going to need you to hide the ring in your hair or any other part of you where it won't be searched. And don't struggle with the bastard. I will get you out of there, I fucking will... I promise."

I dropped my phone on my lap and pulled the ring off my finger. I looked at the driver, heart pounding, fingers shaking.

With my gaze fixated on the driver through the mirror to ensure he wasn't looking, I shoved a handful of hair into tjr ring and pushed the ring down into my hair, fully stuffed with hair.

I reached into my purse, being grateful for the fact that I almost always went everywhere with a hairband.

I pulled out a one and tied my hair up in a pony to ensure the ring wouldn't fall out of my hair easily.

I was going to text Russo back that I had done so when the car pulled to a halt in front of another car. The guy driving looked back at me and I looked back at him with as much confidence as I could muster. The look on his face made it obvious that he was no longer pretending to be from Russo.

"Give your phone to me" He demanded and I didn't bother pretending I had no idea what was going on.

"Here you go." I stretched my phone out to him, my heart pounding hard in my chest.

"Good" he remarked and I saw him draw in a deep breath. He alighted from the car and pulled open the car door for me.

"Get out" he ordered and I stepped out as calmly as I could. He pulled out a gun and I drew in a shaky breath, letting the same out before looking into his eyes.

"Don't threaten me with a gun, I have seen my fair share of it." I said to him, making sure my words didn't communicate how scared I truly was.

"I am sorry I am doing this, Miss." He mumbled quickly, the look of despair appearing on his face.

"I... I have no choice. Please walk."

I walked towards the car parked in front of us and someone step out of the car. He was smoking and looked at me with a grin that ran from earlier to ear. He had a scar that ran from his cheek to his chin.

"You have done well" he said to Karl and then looked at me again.

"Get out of your heels and every fucking piece of jewellery you have on, Miss. Rosaline Caramia Massimo." The grin vanished from his face.

Going along with Russo's words and my previous experience, I didn't argue with him and began to remove every piece of jewellery on me as slowly as I could, to buy more time.

"Get those off faster!" The man from the car gritted in annoyance, walking up to me as I removed the necklace from my neck.

"Diamonds... Just what is befitting, isn't it?" He grabbed my hands roughly and I gritted my teeth, not letting out the cry of pain from his hard grasp.

"Are you sure that is the last jewellery piece on you?" He asked.

"Where else would jewellery be on me?" I replied with a question.

"Bitch! Don't talk back at me..." He grabbed me by my chin.

"Do that again and you so won't love the things I will do to you when I get you over!"He growled at me.

I stared back at him, my chest rising and falling with each breath I took.

He pulled me along with him and shoved me into his car and shut the car door.

"My... My daughter?" I heard Karl ask.

"You will get her soon." The scar faced man replied and I bit down hard on my bottom lip.

Karl's daughter had been kidnapped and I could almost totally understand his actions. If I had a daughter, I would... I would do almost anything too go keep her safe.

"When exactly?" Karl asked again.

"When she grows old and die..."

I looked out of the window, my eyes widening at that statement from the scar faced man.

"Grows old and die?" Karl asked and that was the last words I heard from him before a gunshot pierced the air.

I gasped loudly, fear and panic clouding my face, the facade of not being scared that I had put up was immediately torn away by that gunshot.

The man got into the driver's seat, grinned at me and revved the car into motion.

"Now, let's get out of here, shall we?"
