CHAPTER 72

Ralph, Loretta, Dereck and Clara were in the clinic, but Mark lay asleep with his arms and head on his wife's bed, but Carla came in and moved him slowly, inviting him to breakfast, telling him that Jenna was fine and that the nurse would take care of her.

The nurse went in, checked everything and went out very calmly, she looked around and when she saw that no one was there, she called on her cell phone and told someone on the other end of the line that everything was clear.

The elevator opened and a figure emerged and walked towards the room where Jenna was lying in a coma, he entered and sat down next to her, took one of her hands and began to talk to her.

"My love, wake up, your children need you, I need you, I am not calm to know that you are like this in silence, you should be enjoying the warmth of your children and they should feel their mother giving them her attention.

That man spoke to her with tenderness and affection, while the nurse watched that no one was near them, he continued to speak to her with sweetness, something strange because he was the most dastardly man since he was Luiggi Lombardi, her father.

"Jenna my dear daughter, please listen to my words I love you very much treasure I know you are happy with Mark, but your children need you please react, I beg you with all my being, I want to see you happy".

The clinic phone rang with its ringing and the nurse went to answer it and neglected her vigilance, that's why she didn't notice that everyone was going up the stairs back to Jenna's room, while Luiggi was already sobbing, watching her not reacting and talking to her with great affection.

"Jenna my love please react please open your beautiful eyes, my grandchildren love you, you must see them they are beautiful they look like you, you should know how much I love you I always blame myself for not being with you when you were a child, I only suspected you were my daughter, I know I made a big mistake with your mother, but I think I already paid with what happened to me in jail, I do not justify myself for what I did, but you were born a beautiful daughter".

Marck was about to enter when he heard a familiar man's voice, he barely stuck his head in and saw Luiggi sitting next to his wife talking to her, he signaled silence to the others and they were all there listening to him talking already between sobs.

"Jenna daughter for God's sake open your little eyes, wake up I want to see you happy I want to see your smile again, I want... I want to see you hug my grandchildren please wake up my love please... please".

They could hear her faint sobs everyone was surprised that the damned Luiggi was sobbing there sitting next to his comatose daughter, he kissed her delicate hand caressed her hair and spoke again.

"You must come back from that limbo from where you are my love, please wake up I love you too much daughter, for you I am able to do anything you ask me, listen to my voice treasure, the voice of your father who loves you, who would give anything to keep you happy, follow my voice love, open your eyes Jenna".

Everyone was astonished to hear him and see him cry, but when they saw the miracle that happened later, they could not stand it and shouted with happiness making Luiggi startle, he thought that his accomplice the nurse was watching his back because he did not want anyone to know that he was there with his daughter, but when he saw Jenna open her eyes and look at him with tenderness it was enough for him to hug her and let out a loud cry and she hugged him back saying softly.

"Daddy you're here, I heard you, I heard you calling me... I heard you."

"Jenna my Jenna you woke up my God thank you, I love you daughter you don't know how much, I was afraid you wouldn't open your eyes" Luiggi spoke sobbing, but at the same time happy.

Everyone was very happy to see her awake, behind them appeared a very serious Antonni Lombardi who entered looking at his former grandson Luiggi who was hugging his great-granddaughter and she looked very happy.

Marck approached hugging Luiggi very tightly saying.

"Thank you Luiggi thank you, you helped her out of her coma thank you, you finally woke up love".

He went to hug her and she hugged him as their love was intact, Luiggi just looked at how they loved each other and smiled, the nurse had already seen that she got out of her hands the surveillance and opted to bring the babies for their mother to meet them and soften her mistake.

When she entered with the babies in her arms she approached to give them to the mother who received them gladly because it was the first time she felt their warmth, she kissed the forehead of each one and was so happy.

Mark pushed Luiggi to come closer and spoke.

"Here are your grandchildren Luiggi look at them they look just like you".

He watched them closely and he was right they had blond hair like him and when he carried them in his arms they both grabbed a finger of their grandfather causing him to let out a smile and Luiggi kissed their little hands happily, but he seemed to remember something he put them back on his daughter Jenna's lap saying.

"I have to go daughter, I can't let myself be seen because as everyone knows I am... a fugitive from justice, but I leave happy that you woke up and you have your children in your arms most of all see you happy, goodbye Jenna."

He bent down to give her an innocent kiss on her cheek, he shook Mark's hand and said goodbye to everyone, when he saw Antonni his countenance changed, he left without looking him in the face, he entered the elevator and left.

Richard, the police commander, had arrived at the clinic to visit Jenna because Loretta, his friend, had informed him of the mishap. He was getting out of his car when he saw the elevator open and saw who he least expected to see and said quietly.

"But we have here the famous Luiggi Lombardi, this is a gift of destiny, this one doesn't escape me".

He rushed up to him pointing his sidearm at him shouting.

"Luigi Lombardi you are under arrest, put your hands up".

Luiggi was startled as it was a surprise what was happening, but some gunshots were heard and some windshields were filled with holes, as the fugitive's cronies shot at the policeman to wound him and help his friend escape from prison.

A car came out of nowhere and turned around to pick up Luiggi who got in at speed and they drove off screeching tires, Richard informed the other cops the address and description of the car to follow them, but Luiggi always had an Ace up his sleeve, almost as they left the parking lot they left the car parked and got into a high clearance pickup truck and drove off more quietly, while the police searched for a black four door car.

He was informed sometime later that the car was missing that made Richard scream with rage.

"Damn I had it right here in front of me for fuck's sake, I should have shot him and asked later shit."

He went up with his face reddened, as he got out of the elevator Loretta noticed his discomfort and asked.

"Richard what happened to you? You look like you fought with your soul, man".

He replied angrily.

"I arrived in my car and when I got out I saw Luiggi coming out of the elevator, I tried to arrest him and his accomplices shot at me and took off.

Loretta understood his situation and told him everything that had happened up to what happened between Jenna and Luiggi when she woke up from the coma because of her father's continuous words.

"So, even if it was a good thing that bastard did something good."

He then went in to visit Jenna who had a calm and happy countenance, met the babies, everyone was happy for Jenna's recovery.

Judge John Carpenter accompanied by his wife and adopted son came in his car to visit Mark and Jenna, at the red light they were waiting for the light to change to continue when a high cylinder pickup truck pulled up next to them, by inertia he looked at the driver when a familiar face that was on his passenger side, but with an evil countenance looked at him with a devilish smile, he greeted him mockingly and showed him a gun shouting.

"You're going to pay for me you son of a bitch, get ready you idiot".

He shot him a few times, but John backed up scared because he recognized Luiggi, but the van kept going because they could not expose themselves to the police finding them, that was the salvation of the judge that when he saw that they were driving away at high speed he spoke trembling.

"Shit it was Luiggi carajo, I must be careful love he is very dangerous he must want to take revenge on me for what I did to him".

He continued driving to the clinic where he recounted what happened and also learned of Jenna's recovery and met the babies.

Two days later Jenna was discharged from the clinic in the company of her beloved husband, who was happily holding their children, the family was waiting for them at home, they had made a small reception for them among family and friends, previously they had decorated the babies' room, their crib, their clothes, toys and others, it was a surprise for the new parents.

When Dereck and Carla arrived, each one grabbed a grandchild to take him/her in their arms while the couple entered the house hugging each other, being greeted by a great applause, this very familiar atmosphere was beautiful and showed the immense affection they had for the couple.

The babies passed from hand to hand until Alice got up a moment from Antoni's side and asked the babies to sleep in their room, she went upstairs with the two of them to put them to bed in their crib.

In the living room the spouses were dancing very attached when they began to chant.

"Kiss, kiss."

They kissed with so much love that the applause was not long in coming, when they finished dancing the scandal began instead to give names for the couple's children.

In the end they chose to call him Alek and Kurt, everyone was happy, they enjoyed the party until very late outside the mansion there were many guards guarding the perimeter just in case.

After midnight both spouses had made love with such fiery passion that they were very tired, Mark went to bed looking at his wife and she also kissed again, but the tiredness made him fall asleep immediately, besides the next day he had to work very early, they had chosen to associate Marck and Amanda's companies.

Jenna stretched for a few moments and went to check on the babies who were sleeping soundly as Alice offered to watch them at night to make them sleep as she was a specialist in those things, reluctantly from her Italian boyfriend.

He returned to the room when the cell phone started ringing he grabbed it and saw an unknown number, but answered.

"Hello,."

"Hi Jenna."

"Dad it's good you're talking to me, the police are looking for you, besides, you shot Judge Carpenter."

"I did it because of what tortured me. I was calling to say goodbye to you princess."

"You're leaving daddy?"

"Yes treasure, I have to disappear, they're on my heels and I'm not going to risk it for anything in the world."

"But how I wish you would change a little daddy."

There was silence on the other end of the line, but then it was heard.

"I don't think it's possible, they hurt me too much Jenna, I'm full of spite and revenge and I don't want to drag you into that, I'd rather go far away. I will come back later, but for now I won't do anything. I love you daughter, take care of my grandchildren, give them a kiss from me."

"I will daddy take care of yourself a lot, try to forgive, but also start thinking that you also did bad things, that had repercussions in your life".

"You are right my love, now I must say goodbye, I can't tell you where I will be, but I will try to communicate with you somehow, goodbye little princess".

She closed the call calmer she watched her husband sound asleep, she looked around and smiled her life was very happy, she had love by her side, her children well taken care of and she loved that man who one day had called him daddy and now she called him my husband my lover my treasure.

Luiggi outwitted the security of the house and even the clinic by visiting his daughter, making the miracle that she woke up from the coma, for her he preferred to stay away from evil and the married couple were happy to have each other's love, their passion, their fire in their veins and their beloved children, fruit of the immense pure love that they professed to each other.
