Alex's P. O. V

It's been almost an hour since Tyler left with Aria. I'm happy that they are finally together.

It was a horrifying journey to watch your best friend's mom and my other best friend( I know it's a surprise even to me) hopes being killed. Hopes of ever finding Aria.

But fate always keeps surprising us. It was Tyler's last try of ever finding Ària. I know I'm not a religious person but I prayed every single day to find her .

My best friend, my entire universe.

She is the only family I have, I know we are not related by blood but by love and trust.

I would die for her as well as kill for her. And I know she would do the same, but lets hope it never comes to that.

"I think we should go back and check Aria's foot, what if she needs us or an actual doctor, I'm not gonna take any chances " Spencer said with a worried look on her face.

I don't get her, why does she care so much about Aria. I care cause i've practically grew up around her, but why does Spencer care for someone she only knows for three years.

"Stop worrying its just a side effect of the bite, something that bit her was not poisonous at all, it's just a side effect I'm sure" the new guy Casper tried to convince Spencer

"I just want to be sure" she whispered keeping her head down, suddenly interested in her red Nike shoes.

Seriously red? I internally chuckled

She is definitely something

"I'm going to go check myself "she declared and started marching back to the nearest hike point.

I sighed "wait up" I yelled running to catch up with her

She sideway glanced at me"what do you want?" She groaned

"Well I don't want to scare away the innocent animals with your ugliness so I'm joining you with my awesomeness "I puffed my chest and smirked at her.

She rolled her eyes" the only ugly face here is yours"

"Nah, you don't mean that" I said confidently

"You just seems to know everything because..." She shook her head and rolled her eyes.

"Because I'm sexy and you know it" I said smugly.

"In your dreams Romeo"she said kicking a pebble

"Babe, I'm every girl's dream" I said and winked at her.

She scoffed "more like nightmare "

"Whatever, but you know you want me" I said hitting her shoulder with mine.

"Sure" she said and I looked at her wide eyes, she actually accepted? " if I like brain dead" or not

We reached the hike point but there was no sign of Tyler or Aria.

"Aria has this amazing power of getting lost without even trying. Isn't she amazing?"she tries using sarcasm but anyone can easily detect worry in her tone.

"Tyler's with her, he won't let anything happen to her" I said rolling my eyes

She shook her head"I'm going to look for them" she started walking again "if you want to wait here then fine but I'm not just going to sit here and wait for something to happen " she turned to me.

There was this spark in her eyes showing how determinate she was. I have never seen a girl caring about Aria so much.

Sometimes she appears to me as a female version of me.

It's kind of terrifying, I can't imagine having two Alex at a time.

I rolled my eyes at her "Your stupid to think I'm going to let you go alone into this dark forest" I jogged up to her.

I looked down at her face, but she was looking ahead with a small smile on her face.

After looking for them for almost an hour "I think we should tell the others about this, by that we can cover more ground and find them faster " I suggested

I'm kind of worried for them now, and this place is huge, anyone can easily get lost.

"I'm not going without her" she shook her head stubbornly

I frowned "why do you care so much about her?" Her head snapped in my direction.

She giving me are-you-that-stupid look, I'm hurt. Only Aria can look at me like that

"Don't tell me your not worried for her?" She glared placing her hands on her hip. It'd cute to watch her trying to look pissed. But honestly she looks more like a angry cat.

"I care a lot about her, because I've always been with her. In every phase Happy and sad, alone and terrified and other lonely days. What's your excuse? " I asked leaning on a tree and putting my hands in my jeans pockets

"She is my best friend " she said but I'm not convinced

"Not enough, try again" I said watching her carefully.

She was nervously playing with he thumbs and lightly biting her lip. God, don't go there

"Everything doesn't always need a reason " she said and I can't help but agree.

Everything we do don't really have to have a motive, but I'm still not convinced.

"Ok, I'm not gonna push you" I said and stood straight

Suddenly we saw something move beneath our feet.

She let out a ear bleeding scream. damn, this woman can scream to kill

"Stup up" I yelled and put my hand over her mouth

I slowly lifted my right leg, so that it can pass without biting any of us.

To your curiosity,  I have been to lots of animal centuries where we are trained how to stay calm around aggressive animals.

As the snake moved passed us, I looked down her. Than I realize our position

She was bent a little with me leaning on her, with my left arms wrapped tightly around her waist and left hand on her mouth.

I can't help but feel her soft lips pressed on my palm, her breathing was heard and so was mine.

We kept looking at each other's eyes and her brown eyes was just deep that I found myself drowning in them.

Then she look a step away from me, my hand slipped from around her and was hanging lifeless by my side.

Hate to admit but I felt cold and empty, I almost whimpered. Shut up, your not some pet animal to whimper when your lost something,  that was never actually your to begin with.

"We should just keep looking for them " she said clearing her throat

I snapped out of it and nodded.
