Arthur’s eyes grew wider and his heart began beating faster with passing second. He simply could not digest the information that Liam just gave away.

“Wait a second. How do you know Ethan?” Arthur asked with doubt. He did not want to consider that his friend tailed him and could not rule out the possibility too. Since he knew Liam too well.

“How else? I had my personal investigator dig your past,” Liam said casually. As if it was nothing of a big deal.

“How dare you?-”

Before Arthur could complete the sentence Liam interrupted, “Okay. Listen, I know I should not have done that. But I was very curious to know who was this person who was making you smile and happy. The phone call at the restaurant and also I had visited your office once but you were busy planning this vacation on the phone. So....”

“It is still not right Liam,” Arthur said dejectedly.

“I know Arthur. But trust me I only wanted to know the source of your happiness and help you make it normal for you.”

Arthur simply stated at Liam’s words. On one side, he felt joyous that his once close friend was thinking of his happiness but on the other side, he did not like his privacy being invaded.

“But you should be glad that I had my personal investigator tail you. Or else I would not have got to know that your father is keeping tabs on you since the wedding you attended in bonnet Island.”

“What?” Arthur asked with raised brows. He could not believe that his father still keeps tabs on him. Even after he left everything and joined the company and got married as he wished.

“Yes, your father’s personal investigator has dug Ethan and his family’s details, and believe it or not your father has appointed a hitman to kill Ethan. If my personal investigator did not follow the man who was tailing you, I would not have gotten this information.”

Arthur sighed and leaned onto the wall.

“I want you to be happy Arthur,” Liam said softly.

“Like this? Everyone tailing me? I don’t know what’s wrong with being gay?”

“You will always be my best mate, gay or not,” Liam said making Arthur break into a big smile. Liam moved closer and gave Arthur a brother’s hug.

“What do I do now?” Arthur asked.

“I will help you. But I need something in return,” Liam said grinning.

“What is it?” Arthur raised his brows wondering what Liam wanted.

“Vanessa.”

“Huh? Don’t tell me you fell at first sight,”

“It seems so. Now if you want me to help you, then get her info from Ethan,”

“I don’t know much about her. But all I can say is she had feelings for Ethan for a long time and probably she is still trying to cope with our reunion.”

“Oh, boy. How many hearts are you both breaking? I am sure Emily’s heart would be shattered when she gets to know.”

“That is my biggest concern now. I don’t want to hurt her.”

“Don't worry Arthur. I am sure she understands you even if she is hurt. She is a sweetheart,”

Arthur sighed, “I know.”

“So about what I asked...”

“Fine. I will ask Ethan about Vanessa. But be careful, she is a Papa’s Princess and very much a bigger version of Amity.”

“Only daughter and pampered hell lot?” Liam asked grinning.

“Yup.”

“That is fine. I can handle that much. So, now, about you. If you decide to get separated from Emily and then get back with Ethan, your father will definitely throw you out of the company and probably disown you. You will have to begin work from scratch. I hope you have some personal connections to get work from and I have a few personal connections of mine. I will help you with it. But before that, you have to break the news to your mother. Aunty is the only person who can make your father get back his troop from tailing you and killing Ethan.”

“Yeah, I guess, it is high time that I come out of my shell. I will talk to mom when I return from this vacation. But how can I be sure that nothing will happen to Ethan while we are in this vacation?”

“Don't worry about that. I am damn sure that your father won’t do anything to disturb his grand daughter’s vacation. He loves her way too much.”

Arthur chuckled at the thought. It was true, his father might not have been good to him. But he loved Amity to the core.

The old friends talk a little more before exiting the restroom and went to their table.

“I thought you both left me and went off somewhere,” Amity said pouting. She was standing at their table edge with her hands on hips.

Liam laughed, “Oh, princess. I am not interested in running away with your father. But I have to take my leave now.”

“Already? Stay for an outing, Liam,” Emily said.

“I wish. But I have very important work to take care of. Some other time Ems. Take care and enjoy your vacation, see you all later. Bye guys.” Liam bid bye to everyone and kissed Amity’s cheek and got a return kiss on his cheek before leaving. He glanced at Vanessa one last time before leaving.

The other continues with their outing.

There were times when Arthur would get extremely sensitive and Emily and Ethan were worried about him separately. They both ask him about it in their own ways, but Arthur assures them that he is fine and nothing is wrong.

They continue to have a good vacation.
