"Stop!" I cried, my voice hoarse with pain. "Please, just stop!"

But they didn't stop. They kept kicking, kept punching, until I was curled up on the floor, my body aching with pain.

The Reaper stood over me, his eyes blazing with anger. "You're not very cooperative, are you?" he sneered. "But that's okay. I have ways of making you talk."

I looked up at him, my eyes filled with tears. "I'll never tell you," I whispered, my voice barely audible.

The Reaper laughed, the sound cold and menacing. "We'll see about that," he said, his eyes glinting with anticipation.

The Reaper's bored expression was a stark contrast to the chaos unfolding before him. His men continued to kick me, each blow landing with a sickening thud. I coughed up blood, my body wracked with pain. Tears streamed down my face, but I refused to beg. I knew that's what The Reaper wanted - for me to break, to plead for mercy. But I'd had enough of being at the mercy of men like him.

My cousin Jon Gotti's death at the hands of the Mafia still haunted me. The memories of my own abuse and exploitation at their hands still lingered, a constant reminder of the hell I'd endured. All I wanted now was to escape, to live a normal life free from the shadows of the Mafia.

But that dream seemed farther away than ever. The people I worked for had promised to leave me alone if I completed this mission, but now I'd failed. Both they and The Reaper would come for me, and I knew I wouldn't be able to outrun them forever.

The Reaper's voice cut through my thoughts, his words dripping with malice. "Tell me who sent you, and I might let you go." I shook my head, knowing better than to trust him. He'd kill me regardless of what I said.

"Is their identity worth dying for?" he asked, his eyes glinting with amusement. "I'll get it anyway, but I want to hear you say it."

I looked up at him, my eyes filled with defiance. "I know you'll kill me either way," I spat. "So why should I give you the satisfaction?"

That's when I saw it - the open door to the balcony, a sliver of freedom in the midst of chaos. With a surge of adrenaline, I forced myself to my feet and made a run for it. The Reaper's men gave chase, but I was determined to escape.

I reached the balcony, the cold wind whipping my face as I gazed down at the ground far, far below. My heart racing, I knew that jumping would mean certain death. But I'd rather die on my own terms than at the hands of the Mafia.

Without hesitation, I took the leap of faith, plummeting towards the ground with a sense of freedom I'd never known before.

I thought I was free from the grips of Frederick, the man who caused me so much pain, but little did I know he would come knocking on my door the next moment.

"You can't escape from Liliana, so stop running and come to me," he muttered boastfully.

"And why would I do that?" I retorted with a frown etched across my face, and a rueful smile graced his handsome face.

Walking towards me, he cornered me, caging me between the wall and his strong body. "Because I know you want me. Your heart, your soul, and most, especially this body of yours... I can feel the heat radiating from you every time I stand close to you, with my hand around your waist," he whispered, his husky voice sounded like music to my ears.

His hand slowly slid up from my hip to my waist, and he squeezed the skin of it gently, but enough to send a shiver down my spine. Leaning down, he murmured close to my ear. "You want me, just as much as I want you," he said confidently. I almost spat blood hearing his bold words. What exactly did I get myself into?
