Chapter Sixty-Two| A Boy.
"Happy birthday to you," I sang to Jason as I sat on top of him, waking him up I pushed the cupcake with the cliché one candle on it towards him. He gave me a boyish grin and pushed his hair back before sitting up straight.
"Baby," he groaned, still smiling and I carried on singing, each note getting higher and higher as I jumped up and down softly.
"Make a wish!" I exclaimed excitedly and he blew the candle out. Taking out the candle from the cake, I grabbed the cupcake and took a huge bite out of it.
He stared at me shocked and I shrugged giggling. "I thought that was mine!"
"The candle was yours," I said, still laughing, finishing off the cupcake he pouted and shook his head. "And this is delicious," I moaned with my mouthful of his cake.
"Let me get a taste," he said cupping my head and pulling me closer to him, I shook my head disgusted trying to push him away.
"No, eew! Go brush your teeth first," and like always, he ignored my rants and placed his lips on the corner of my mouth licking off the cream that was there.
"You're right, it does taste good," he said, nuzzling his nose on my neck and pressing butterfly kisses, making me giggle as I struggled to push him away from my neck.
"Go freshen up, I have something for you in the other room," I said getting off his lap, he pulled me back and pressed one kiss on my lips before slapping my ass and making me yelp as I walked away. Dickhead, I grumbled under my breath as I walked down the stairs carefully because I knew he was watching me.
I looked down at my growing belly and a crazy smile made its way as I rubbed my belly softly. Fourteen weeks along, haven't been easy but it's definitely getting better!
Rick was becoming less of a dictator in my life but he was still annoyed with the moves I pulled on him, trying to find some way to provoke us and scare us by saying that he'd rather go to jail so that he could see Jason go there with him... PUHLEASE! The man is so used to the comfortable life that he wouldn't do such a thing to himself, he's pudding.
I carefully placed Jason's gift on the coffee table and checked the letters that I hanged on the wall making sure I spelt HAPPY BIRTHDAY correctly, yup, it seemed right. Adjusting the gold and black balloons, I pulled my hair back, it was slowly growing back to its normal length that I didn't know what I wanted to do next with it.
"Baby!" I heard Jason call for me and I responded with my own yell.
"Living room!" I heard his heavy footsteps descend the steps and come into the living room. "Surprise," I whispered with a huge smile on my face. He stood by the entrance taking everything in and he covered his eyes secretly wiping his tears.
"You didn't have to do this for me," he said, wrapping his arms around me and hugging me tightly. "Thank you," he whispered, pressing his lips against my temple and I gave him an extra squeeze.
"You don't have to thank me for doing what any other person would do," I said, pulling away from him and walking over to the coffee table.
But you're the one doing it," he said softly and I smiled, shaking my head. "Ooo is this for me?" He asked, rushing towards the covered present box and I held up the knife.
"Don't touch it!" I said and he quickly removed his hand grumbling something about it being his birthday and he should at least enjoy the privileges. "You will enjoy the privileges later on," I said as I cut him a piece of cake. Placing it on a saucer, I stabbed it with a fork and handed it to him.
"Thank you," he said and I joined him on his lap circling my arm around his neck.
"My pleasure, now feed me," he looked at me with wide eyes and I shrugged my shoulders. "Honestly you shouldn't even say anything, you're the one that got me so used to being dependent on you, so come on, my baby wants some choco," I said opening my mouth and he pushed a forkful of the cake in my mouth and I watched him from the corner of my mouth as he watched me.
I took the fork from him and he sighed, "I honestly don't understand why you gave me came if you're going to eat it," he complained and I ignored him. "Li-ah" I stopped his rant by pushing a forkful of cake into his mouth.
"I wanted the three of us to share," I said softly and he grinned while swallowing.
"You sure?" He teased and I bit my lip nodding. Well at least I think I was sure. "Can I open my present now?" he asked and I rolled my eyes, getting off his lap and kneeling between him and the coffee table.
"Now I know this isn't as big as the present you got for me for my birthday, it's not that I'm broke but I feel like it's probably the best present that you could ever get from me," I said as I grabbed the box off the coffee table.
"You are already the best," he said and I met his eyes smiling before looking back down at the small box that was in my hands. Pushing it onto his lap, I bit my lip in anticipation as he unwrapped the box and slowly pulled out the picture.
He stared at it and his eyebrows knitted in confusion, he looked at the picture before looking back at me. "A sonogram, you went to another appointment without me?" he asked me looking sad and I quickly shook my head.
"No, this is from the last session we had, remember I asked to get it mailed to us and I also asked her not to tell us the gender of the baby but to include it in the mail?"
"Yeah?" he asked, still confused and I smiled, threading our fingers together.
"It's a boy," I said softly and his eyes blinked rapidly before a year finally escaped his eye and he picked me up, hugging me tightly. "You'll squeeze the life out of me!" I giggled and he kissed my neck, cheeks, nose and eyes before settling on my lips.
"I love you so much, thank you!" He said against my lips kissing me repeatedly. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" He chanted in between the kisses, making me laugh.
"I love you too," I answered and he finally sat down on the couch with me on his lap, his hands touched my belly and he kissed me again. "What name are we going to give him?"
"I think I should be the one to name him," he said and I furrowed my eyebrows ready to fight.
"Why?" I asked and he pointed to the letters that were hanging on the wall behind my head.
Chuckling he said, "You can't even spell birthday right," he laughed and I looked back seeing that the H was missing.
"Dickhead!"
